Did you ever have trouble with second gear being hard to shift into or crunch? My ep3 2nd gear feels so rough and feels like it’s crunching even though it’s had a rebuild with new parts recently.
They can be removed yes but you need to have the little screw that comes with them if you're not putting a fuel gauge on. I have not fitted a fuel gauge but if you are it's recommended to put thread tape on them to reduce leaks
I appreciate the information! I've been looking for a crossbar here in the United States --- very difficult, I came across one but didn't really like it. I will be ordering mine soon 👍🏻
Hi, it seems that they don't sell it anymore but here is the original listing to give you some idea on what to look for. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274272208049?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8MLnJsTrQOi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=oH9Ts0ZFTxW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Hi mate its very interesting to watch your videos! Could ask what size are the bolts you fit on the boot from outside, are they going straight through the each hole in the spoiler easily? Cheers
Hi, thank you for watching. I cant remember what bolts they were but I think they were the same size as the ones on the original spoiler. I think one of the bolts was shorter on my new spoiler but yea they should all be the same size so that its an easy swap
Hi, thanks a lot for the video. It was really helpfull! I have the same tegiwa kit. I just have one question, the bearing for the forward gears, the big one, yours rotate properly? I think mine is a little stiff, it doesn't move as freely as I see yours, how can I make it to be more free? Any suggestion?? I didn't changed it yet because of that, and I don't want to break anything while changing gears! Thank you in advance for some suggestions!!!
Hello, glad you found it useful. What I think is that the cable is rubbing or getting caught somewhere to the gearbox. If the issue wasn't there before it could be wrap around something on the install
@UnluckySully I didn't installed yet, it's in the bag, but for me the sphere inside the big Tegiwa bearing that moves in every direction, for me is very stiff, I tried soaking in WD40, but it's still to stiff. Any other suggestion how to make that sphere move freely??? I don't wanna force that sphere to eventually damage it. Thank you for the rapid response.👍
3 years down the line i hope you now know both rocker covers are the same. the 4 holes youre referring to are from the coils 2 get bolted down the other 2 go through the spark plug cover.
@@UnluckySully Cheers for the reply mate, yeah I've an EP3 and was looking at one that was installed on an EP2 so I might go and do a buy. Your vid is helpful for the install
@@mixonn_5961 nope kept it how it was, the tracking was out when I installed it and because the steering wheel is bigger than before it make it look like the tracking was out more
I would have the rear wheels off the floor(jack's and axle stands) to make sure you haven't over tightened. Otherwise brakes will drag and wear the pads prematurely.
@@UnluckySully That’s awesome mate , I still got my EP3 and EP2 after all these years ..I want to do my first oil change ? Should I run the car for 5 minutes idle before draining oil ? Also is it just a matter of draining all the oil then replacing filter ? Is there any specific order . Cheers bud 😃
@@mariolooney70 People do run the car for a bit of time to make the oil more viscous to more comes out I dont bother. Yep spot on, so drain the oil until its empty, put the sump plug back in then take out the oil filter and put the new one on. the full up with oil
Hi mate I got a prefacelift and looking to get new facelift headlights but the headlights don't come with bulb holders is everything from the pre a straight swap ?
@@UnluckySully I got it out just now woohoo.... I had to bolt it back in and jam a flat head in there and apply leverage. Strange thing is I cannot see any difference in the Honda shifter and the Revo. Both are identical in size and movement.... WTF
Haha, so I decided to take my seats out to vacuum all the sand in my car. Got to the part in your video about that plastic cover. I lifted it with 2 fingers and it just popped off. There is a clip that just clips off, haha unlucky Sully for real. Thanks for the video though 🙂
If you have a look at the horn button, there should be a metal wire which is the ground, you need to make sure that is touching the inside of the bosch kit otherwise the horn won't work👍👍
Any update on how the car is going? New subscriber here! Not been an upload for a year... Ep3 type r owner (cosmic grey) few tasteful mods. Going to wrap my center console when the wrap arrives after watching your video!
Hey man, yea been off for a while, have a video in the making just waiting for a part, also explaining where I have been for so long. Regret not getting a cosmic grey its the best colour I think anyway.
@@UnluckySully I agree with cosmic grey being the best colour! After a good clean and polish it just shines and pops in the sun! Wicked! I'll be looking forward to the new video then! Waiting for parts can suck! Looking to keep mine OEM+ looks wise although the modifier in me wants to go to town on it 🤣 Hope you've been alright since the last upload! 🤙
Are the lights much better? Mine are atrocious can barely see anything in unlit roads. Didnt realise these were facelift lights but want to do this to mine too now.
@@goonzjav personally I don't think so, not from what I noticed. If you want more powerful lights you need to change the bulbs inside. I purely did this mod as I think they look better than pre face-lift
Hey Man, with the whole covid thing I was not able to make much content. I recently just moved house as well and am working on that. When I have the time ill be back on the EP3 content
