Yay! More love for P-Pro! I really liked the period-based series from Akakage, through the 2 Lion Maru and to Shiro Jishi Kamen (my favorite of them all).
Don't be fooled by the trashy appearance of the characters: in Lion Man, the stories are very dramatic, innocent people die, the villains are cruel and the protagonists suffer a lot to defeat them. These tokusatsus from P-Productions from the 70s are excellent!
So, in Japan the show Spectreman was called Gori the Space Ape? That’s wild! Gori was largely considered the villain over here. It’s like finding out the Superman comic book was originally called Lex Luthor.
One of my favorite 70's series. And even this series was so good that it was very frustrating what they did with Fuun, which was very weak compared to the original and very confusing at certain moments, unfortunately this type of audacity to take the setting out of the commonplace of contemporary Japan no longer happens. , so King-Ohger was a pleasant surprise in that sense
Does anybody have a favorite monster phantom form tetsujin tiger 7, My favorite are the Mummy, snake, stone, tsuchinoko, wax, Gas, spider, coal tar, and plant
Really great video I briefly mentioned Suki Suki Majo sensei when talking about the live action Sailor Moon. I tried to find videos of the full series but the official Toei tokusatsu RU-vid only had 2 episodes at the time. Thank you for showing sharing more
I don't know why but there is something charming in janky, low-budget toku shows like that. It's a shitty situation to be in. I mean, look at Ultraman Powered. But there is something charming about these people doing their best to put the show together with their limitations. There is unique flare to them.
I thought Guyferd was one of the character candidates who deserved to be included in the "vs Capcom" series, even though he had to get permission from Toho directly for Guyferd to be included.
Before the year of 2022 we still confuse about their colour for the costum because they each have another colours were dominate not only in the line in their suite... But in episode 47 on Don Brothers series we can watch that the monster or we call them hitotsuki representation of Battle Fever J have 5 colours on his suite...
A superhero show that grounded things by squaring him up against more human villains. Sounds a bit like American superhero shows of the 70s. Like The Incredible Hulk or the American Spider-Man show.
