The designs of Kiramager's Crystalian Aliens are remembered me of the Diamond eye (but more modern)

It appears that this might have been an inspiration for the Space Sheriff series.

OH MY GOD A DIAMOND EYE VIDEO man i was interested in this series 2 years ago cause i found out its a toku show with no raws available on the internet but that changed this year when i discovered recently it was made available by someone in Internet Archive other than that im not really sure if im intrigued but this video kinda sparked a bit of interest how is the fight scenes may i ask ? are there flashy special techniques ? im afraid i will fall into something like choujin barom-1 and get bored due to the fight scenes being relatively bland IMO

In 1973 the competition was heavy. By my count there were 15 new series that year apart from the ones that started in 72 and continued in 73. Diamond Eye, I looked and didn't find even RAWs, as well as Rainbowman

I wish there was a sub of daimond eye available somewhere, love the characters design and the plot sounds like alot of fun

The interesting thing about shows like Diamond Eye and Rainbowman, Kōhan Kawauchi had a fascination with different Eastern and Middle Eastern cultures, which influenced some of the shows he worked on. (some source claim he converted to Islam later in his life).

Fun Fact: The reoccurring Zensei Majin that Diamon Eye already defeated in the first seven episodes are actually different members of the same race with the exact same appearance. This was done just to save cost for the show.

I wish Toho would license Rainbowman, Diamond Eye, Megaloman, Meteor Man Zone aka Zonefighter to someone in US. JN Productions/Generation Kikaida told me Toho doens't think they will sell when I asked if they would get Rainbowman and Diamond Eye like they released Toei;s Kikaida, Kamen Rider, Kikaida-01 and Inazuman. No no no, its Diamond Eye who reveals their true forms with his "Inner Soul Illumination Beam" and then he says: "Thine true form have I seen Zensei Majin ________" (filling the blank with its name) to which the monster replies "I've been exposed!"' Kotaro is captured a lot because the Zensei Majin finally figure out he is the one summoning DIamond Eye and they think they can trap Diamond Eye and kill him. They dont intially understand how so often Kotaro cannot summon Diamond Eye because he is wearing a glove over the ring which requires light to trigger. . Eventually they figure out its the ring and in one episode they drop it a fire. And Diamond Eye cannot leave the ring UNTIL he is called., He's basically a genie and Kotaro is his master because Kotaro posses the rign he lives in. So Diamond Eye being roasted to death is calling for Kotaro to release him but he's gagged. Eventually of course Kotaro is able to call out out Diamond Eye. In one episode the Zensei Majin trap Diamond Eye in the dark and he cannot function without light. They made a mistake, they used a child as bait and when the child cries there is light in his tears. "Royal Punch!"
