Your mountain waterfall is incredible and I love the plaza that you have created for the Palace Ballroom! Simply beautiful!! Looking forward to following your creative genius through to the finished village.
Hello Linda, I am still very undecided about which buildings to place to the right and left of the Palace Ballroom. Perhaps one could be Nora's Christmas Boutique. Do you have any suggestions?
That is a big mountain! I feel like a single building needs to be there somewhere, and an old wise woman lives there. I really liked what you made for the palace ballroom. A feel that, that type of building needs something grand as the entrance.
Hello Rebecca, Absolutely!!!! Thank you for the suggestion. I started last night 3D modeling a small country house/shack. I will update in a few hours this reply with a preview……. Better at the foot of the mountain or at the top? Old wise woman or witch?? I am uncertain
@@silvioallena either one. If you put it at the top, you'll need a way for her and/or other people to get up to her. I would say she needs to live by the water. Have you seen The Good Witch? The main character makes things happen, but she's not a witch in the traditional sense. I suggest looking it up. That's who I would put there. (It's a hallmark series.) 😊
@@obsessedwith_christmas Yes I did. I have been a huge fan of Catherine Bell since JAG. She was surely a good witch and wise but not old at all 😁😁😁😁😁. So I will need to add 20 or 30 more years to Catherine to inspire my modeling.
@@obsessedwith_christmas Maybe something like in the picture you can find at the link below? Just finished 3D printing. Too small? Too shack? Too rural and inelegant for a good witch? Like always the building is in scale with Lemax buildings and as always under scaled compared to the figurines. www.christmasvillages.it/shared_2024/test_house_lake.jpg
Maybe paint the marble floors a light gray and a aquamarine blue color for each round part of the floor as an accent color! Perhaps adding some tall trees in each side of the 2 waterfalls to conceal the curvature from a side view! Really liked the water effect!
Hi Robin, You are absolutely right. Vegetation and tall trees can be of help. I will need to craft something quickly. Aquamarine...I never used it for stairs...I have to check if it can be harmonized with the uncommon color of the statue that is still missing.
And I thought I liked the statue before the waterfalls. WOW! The effects you were able to create are outstanding. I have used many things for waterfalls, but never soap. I'll have to try that. I like your tiles too. I pluck the eraser from a pencil and form it like a cobblestone and press it into the foam for patios and walkways. It works great, and the sizes stay uniform. How about a white with gray marble for your railings? That would be pretty and classy. I can't wait for next week. Try to get some rest too. 😊
Hello Jeanie, Absolutely right!!! The metal material that holds the eraser is very malleable and can be given the shape we want. Brilliant solution. Thanks for the color suggestion. I need to find a quick technique to simulate marble veins.
Your statue is totally AMAZING. I love water and water features. And I can't wait to see your waterfalls. I've never heard of using soap. This is going to be interesting. Oh, your gargoyles are beautiful. You are still making me want a 3D printer! There's only one problem, lol, I have a hard time turning a computer on. You are my biggest inspiration with your creativity. Sometimes, I have a hard time getting motivated, but all I have to do is watch your video. Thank you for getting me moving again.
Hello Jeanie, Should I quit my job and pursue a career as a motivational speaker around the world? Experimenting with a new technique of creating waterfalls with bars of transparent soap (first melted and then poured just before it regains a solid state) can give many nightmares. One thing is the theory, where you imagine that everything will always go smoothly, another is facing reality and the force of gravity. I'm too old to be a thrill seeker... but... who cares... I am addicted to this!!!!!... I will sleep more in my next life
Hello Linda, I promise you that I will try to position the Palace Ballroom in the best possible way. But there are not many Lemax creations that can compete with the elegance of that building.
Hello Silvio, What a great plant thi teloxys aristata . I had never heard of it but it is perfect for trees. Looking forward to seeing you use it. That big glorious engineering brain of yours and the complexity of the design of your first platform section is impressive. I am curious about the statue you will place on it. Maybe of the female persuasion. I am loving the Protector and his mountain. It does truly look like he will step free at any moment. I think I would spend too much time staring at him. Probably to the point my eyes would start jumping, therefore mimicking movement! lol
Hello Susan, I have to disappoint you once again... no statue of the female persuasion. Slightly more heartbreaking. And of an unexpected color. I'm still undecided whether once I finish the stairs I should immediately dedicate myself to the statue or whether to start the first themed section. I will have a meeting with Mac and the Protector tomorrow night to decide how to proceed.
Silvio, I really love your snow on the ground intro for each part, very creative! Your cir ular geometry is really showing with those new stairs. Your imagination is incredible!!!😊
Hi Robin, Imagination is very subtle. He betrays you when you least expect it. Honestly, I'm very worried about this year's themed sections. Especially for the second one. I hope to be able to start the first one in Part 4 or Part 5.
I love your villages every year! I need a big space I only have my dining table and other accent tables. Maybe I can use boxes to make more space like yours. Can’t wait to see your village this year
Hello Rebecca, it was messy beyond belief. I even had to have all the air conditioning filters cleaned. They were completely clogged because I sanded the plaster for two days (without filming to avoid damaging the camera optics). A cloud of dust that had never been seen even in the Sahara desert. A piece of advice: never sand the plaster with the air conditioning on.
Hello Diamira, I will try to highlight the Palace Ballroom as much as possible, it is one of Lemax's best vintage masterpieces. Typical example of how innovation in design does not always improve a brand's reputation. I honestly still don't know what good I could have done to deserve this extraordinary gift from Linda.
Hello Silvio, Yes, using your hands to create! I really enjoyed the mountain making. It is different from the way I have used but ingenious the way the plaster holds everything together instead of glue. I love the formations in the mountain and am excited to see it painted. Truly unique because it gives the effect that if the protector was not there holding everything in place, the mountain would crumble and the water would flood all in its path. Space boy platform, that is fun! I am curious how you will construct the balusters since nothing is the same height and depth. If you are continuing with a space theme with the buildings on the platform, then I think a handrail made like miniature flexible duct would look great, probably right down the middle but maybe not straight but slightly curvy from right to left to right to left etc.
Hello Susan, it was so late in the night or so early in the morning on Monday... one of those moments where maybe you're aware that you're talking but you're not really paying attention to what you're saying... when from a split second of a flash image you build an epic that lasts hundreds of years... a senseless epic... it is yes a uchronia but I won't go towards the space age... even if the design that was produced in those years has no rivals... everything will be much more classic and Victorian... everything much more boring... but why, not even a twist??... well, yes of course...
Hello Silvio, I am glad you shared the spaceboy platform. I know when everything is placed on it, the outline of it will fade into the background, but we now know it is there, hiding in plain sight. Some of the greatest things come when we are most tired and the least filtered. The wild and crazy journey continues!
I love the construction of the mountain! I can understand the mess involved with plaster, plus the clean up after! I will hold back on my comments involving the "Spaceman stairs" until I see the final result! This 2024 Christmas village is beginning to look like" The Land of The Giants!!" LOL
Hi Robin, And I still have to sand paper it and fill the room with tons of plaster dust. Don't worry... spaceman stairs is just an unfortunate term that my buggy mind gave birth to at half past one in the morning. An apocalyptic vision that recurred during the outro at around 3.40am on Monday morning. The end result will have nothing to do with space. All very classic. Apart from the main statue... but even that will have nothing to do with the space. I am sorry to have misled the final total vision.
Hello Bert, Unfortunately this year the calendar was against me. July started on a Monday. And since my family tradition dictates that the construction of the Christmas Village begins on the first weekend of July, I am almost a week late compared to last year. I'm sorry for this delay.
Hello Silvio So excited for it all to begin. Uchronia , what an awesome twist. Very urban fantasy and Star Trek! So glad you will be using your hands to build. No more Master or DemiGod, You are the God/Protector of your village, love it and he is truly magnificent! Way cool rewind and reset, at first I thought something was wrong with youtube..lol what a bridge, glorious, call me weird but it reminds me of a dragon. Oh my gosh MacGyver, I would have never guessed that one!
Hello Susan, I was very nostalgic for my VCR and VHS tapes. Absolutely not weird. The bridge actually has the sinuosity of a dragon with its head and tail underground. Almost like a dragon ostrich. If druids and Merlin existed, why not a Victorian MacGyver? Maybe I should have modeled him a Kilt. Maybe even on horseback. Or even better with the Kilt and in an early steam car with a horn playing a bagpipe tune.
I know what you mean about VCRs and VHS tapes, I have some home movies on them. A dragon ostrich, now that is funny 😂 I think MacGyver was ingenious and love the way you made him fit in the era, why not a steampunk horse to ride while wearing a kilt? But in all seriousness, he is awesome in his cape!
Oh Snap Silvio! You are a crazy totally creative genius!!! This is part 1 of about 26 parts and you have already revealed your originality in that Godzilla like statue in size and the completed bridge with that beautiful color scheme for your walkway not to mention the overall detail. You are truly an inspiration to make the Christmas Village building community think outside the box and be more creative and original with their layout! One question...will you be able to move that platform to work in the back once the water feature, electrical and other surprise elements are added? Finally, welcome back, I have been waiting for "Silvio Returns Christmas 2024"!!
Hi Robin, I am worried too about the total weight of the plywood structure to be moved. With almost no extra weight on it I feel a lot of friction when I move it. Now that it is still possible, I will try to add a few more PTFT sliders under the sawhorses. It is likely that for next season I will have to invent some kind of motorized movement system.
Welcome back Silvio. I can't believe it's that time again. It's looks like your Village will be a little bigger than last year. Even your stone man got bigger. So, my guess is... it’s going to be bigger and better than last year 😊 I haven't even started my Christmas Village yet. Which is not good.
Hello Anja, What??!! What?? You haven't started your Christmas Village yet? I can't believe it's not like you. To be honest I'm not totally satisfied with my village from last season. I only have the desire to be able to achieve something similar to that of 2022.
I really hope that I can start in about 2 weeks. Because I've put my village into a new room. But I still need to get some stuff out of the room, So I can get started with my village. I am getting a little worried if I can get it finished in time.
Hello Rebecca, a 3D printer can open up endless new horizons for your Christmas Village. Richard Dean Anderson was so perfect as MacGyver and Jack O'Neill.
Thank you. Lots of great memories from the 2022 season. There are only a few days left before the start of my new village but I believe this setup will remain unparalleled. I'll try anyway.
I have 4(11W×17L×7H) styrofoam Blox and am beyond serious about building a village what glue do I use? Why did I take about 3 years, cause I don't ever finish anything, but I've lost my mother and she was upset she never got to see me build it. I spent last christmas crying this year I want to build for her! ❤
I'm sure it will be a great tribute to your mother. For Styrofoam I generally use PVA glue (also known as white glue or PVA white glue). It is a safe and non-toxic glue. But does not dry very quickly.
@@robinwright5607 hey Robin! I might. I want to see how big it is in person. (It has the dimensions, but I need to see it in person.? I hope so! I may do something similar what Julie did last year. 😄
This looks exactly like it would be a David Winter cottage. It looks as if Candler has copied their style, which would be ok since they closed down in 2002.
Hello Silvio, Thank you for this PS tutorial! It really helped me to understand why I do not desolder wires from resistors, ONLY from the positive or negative battery port/terminal tab. Unfortunately my roasted chestnut booth paid the ultimate price. I now understand that I was getting waylaid by the number of wires when that was not the important part. Just making sure that all wires soldered to the positive of the battery pack are soldered to the positive wire leading to the adapter and negative to the negative. I am very glad I reached out to you and extremely grateful for your tutelage! Excellent tutorial.
Hello Susan, I am sorry for your chestnut booth. I should have insisted on the importance of the positive and negative pole of the battery box directly during the main tutorial.
Hello Silvio, The mistake was mine. I panicked when I saw all the wires. You have been nothing but gracious. I am just going to sit quietly in the corner wearing my dunce cap...lol I know you said you were feeling better, are you taking meds to help? I remember those little fiber optic houses from your earlier villages. I also remember you saying how special they were, now I understand why. They were full of memories with your children. 😊
Hello Susan, in fact last week I felt better and was recovering then on Friday night the cold stole the first bus it found and hit me again. No meds for the moment, I'll reserve them for when I'm old sorry... a little older.
Hello Silvio, Sorry about the bus and the relapse. Hopefully, you feel better soon. Just make sure you do not get hit by a train, next! I do not know about you but I do not plan on getting old. I may age and get older but never old. I am a big kid at heart. Just ask my 3 year old twin nieces, as I crawl through the house growling like a tiger with both of them on my back...lol😅
Hello Silvio, Thank you ! So happy this tutorial is up! Got my pen and paper for notes and supplies. lol... Yes 9 more fingers. Okay, the white wire you are using, you said use whatever we want but what is that wire? It looks like lamp cord wire but I want to make sure I get the correct wire. So glad you are gearing up for 2024. That is a really cute stall, so detailed. Hmmm, no more Colonial district. Hey the creative juices flow the way they want, but I am sorry that you printed and wired 9 buildings that will not be used. Beautiful design though. The new female connector for the buildings is awesome! Now just plug and glow. And you have 15 new buildings printed already besides the 9 you are not using? Holy smokes, you are fired up. That was an awesome tutorial and I am going to get busy breaking through battery cases.
Hello Susan, The white wire I used is standard HIFI audio wire (2x0.75 mm² white) EUROPE LINK: www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01EI81N4G In Imperial or AWG units it corresponds to 18 AWG (or 18 Gauge) 2 conductor wire US LINK: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BPRFM2H The color of the 2 conductors (wires) is not important. I don't know... last season all the dozens of voices I usually had shouting in my mind were going on strike or they were facing temporary mutism and I was practically lazing around inertly for the first long winter months of 2023. Then they were slimy and forced me down the wrong path. This year they seem to have gone wild or want to make amends and don't stop suggesting solutions. Some obviously even too extreme for my madness. Sorry but it's too early I don't want to reveal/spoil too much.
Hello Silvio, Thank you for the link to the correct wire, it will be here tomorrow. Yay! My new Weller soldering iron with power station came today. My old one, which was new this year, has not worked right since I blew it apart and had to reassemble it. I can now say I have seen the inside of a hot soldering iron..lol Hmmm hushed voices. Sounds like they were displeased about something they thought you should not be doing, so they went silent. When that did not get the desired effect, they purposely gave you bad information/ideas. Sneaky little buggers. Now all is forgiven and they are back with a vengence! I am excited about seeing where you go this year and you didn't spoil anything. How could you when you didn't tell me anything...lol I am curious about the overall theme though. Still sections/districts or not. Guess time will tell because I know you won't....lol
Silvio, very good explanation of converting DC to AC ! Enjoyed your sneak preview of your Colonial Village mid-1700's, even if your not using the larger building for 2024! I am a huge Colonial period 1700's fan in the USA!
Hi Robin, Unfortunately the new design for the stairs I sketched just before starting to paint all the colonial buildings. It would have been completely out of place. So I had to give up almost two months of work spent on those 3D models. Including the gigantic church. Maybe I will use them in the next few years.
Hello Silvio, How serendipitous, I am so glad you found each other. What a fantastic restoration. It looks even better than the original. I have left this comment three times and three times it disappeared. I think it is because I was trying to put a website link in here to the original carousel from Christmas Warehouse, an Australian company that sold this Starburst carousel. It was listed as Illuminated, animated & musical Ride the Starburst Ferris Wheel scene. Although they no longer carry it, they had pictures, if you were interested.😊
Hello Susan, Unfortunately only the owner/administrator of the RU-vid channel can post links. I think I found the same website when I was searching for the original electric motor and AC power supply I replaced.
Hello Silvio, What? That is so cool that both LEDs are flickering now. Such great effect with the crystals and micro LEDs behind them. oh heavens to Betsy, look at those mushrooms! In a small space, you have incorporated many aspects of the book. There was only a cursory glance at it in your video and I am so glad you did this one. It is amazing!
Jules Verne was a visionary of how the world would change and he got it right in everything. I have visited his tomb several times in Amiens (120 km north of Paris) in the La Madelaine cemetery and a friend of him, a great sculptor, has sculpted a monument for him which is the spirit, the essence of everything Jules Verne was and will be forever. "Towards immortality" like all of his works. Here a couple of pictures of his extraordinary tomb: www.christmasvillages.it/shared3/jules_01.jpg www.christmasvillages.it/shared3/jules_01.jpg
Hello Silvio, I think I have ran the entire gamut of emotions. Simply stunning! Thank you for another incredible journey. The 4th display. Is it A Journey to the center of the earth, also by Jules Verne?
Hello Silvio, Very clever solution to illuminate Poseidon! I am always so impressed by how you get light where you want it. Now that is a technique I would love to learn, converting battery operated to electric! On the few battery operated items, I love, I bought the battery converter off of Amazon. Love the teddy bears. Guess the two new Elf houses required an expansion of the North Pole. ohhh those ice/snow border is spectacular! The Monk's hedges look so very good, excellent paint job too! You had a rough season and never apologize for feelings. Hugs
Hello Susan, I am not saying I have but… If I had delusions of grandeur I could have said "Vayomer Elohim yehi-or vayehi-or" or in simple Latin “Fiat Lux”. But I am not there. YET !!!
Oh amazing! I love watching this part. Waves to JayJay. Kissing goodbye, so beautiful. Lol Mickey mouse. Great use of the center of the rings! I agree about the kissing figurines. I love how you blend everything together and it works beautifully. Did you add a light to Jingle Bells & more? I was going to try and sit mine near a street lamp. What perfect little hedges. I wonder if something similar could be made from xps . Oh wow, great arch entrance/exit for the tunnels.
Hello Susan, It was a lucky break when I found The Jingle Bells & More market stall in a large shopping center that had nothing to do with Christmas Stores. So many years ago. It has an incorporated LED that is supposed to work with a standard CR20232 3V battery. I simply transformed it adding a power cable that can be connected to a 3V AC adapter. Unfortunately those hedges are too small to be carved in to some Styrofoam. Even XPS.
Hello Silvio, I am glad you found it too. There is something sweet about. I am sure you already know this, but it was a Sears piece. When I bought it in January, I asked if it was a lit piece and she said no. I am going have to find it and see if there is a battery or a spot for a battery somewhere on it. Such a handy skill to have, converting battery to electric. Oh well, I will figure something out. I don't want my kiddies to fall off the levels. Fences block too much, even your beloved canal fences.
Hello Susan, Well converting battery to electric or adding electric to a not lit piece is really a piece of cake. Easier than making street lamps. If it is of some interest I can do a quick video on the technique. If you want something to use as some sort of fence but lower (in proportion they have a height that reaches below the knee) modern urbanism may be of some help. Geometrically easily replicable: a hemisphere superimposed on a homogeneous cylinder. Easily decorated. Here are some samples: www.christmasvillages.it/shared3/pan_02.jpg www.christmasvillages.it/shared3/pan_01.jpg www.christmasvillages.it/shared3/pan_03.jpg
Hello Silvio, oh my gosh, those are adorable, the minions are so cute. Thank you. Its funny because after thinking about it, I had considered getting small round or oval shaped styrofoam balls and cutting them in half and covering them with coarse turf. Now I have another option and you reinforced mine. Yes! Please Silvio, on the video on converting battery to electric, that would be so helpful. I am sure I am not the only one who could/would greatly benefit from that technique. 😊
Hello Silvio, Those poor little skaters moving in fast motion are going to throw up. Frankenstein is amazing. The likeness is awesome! The poor little girl. The mad hatter is way cool! So steampunk. I really like how the one set of stairs get you everywhere. Hope they don't move around like in Harry Potter. Or the labyninth of stairs in the name of the rose. Get turned around and fall in the rabbit hole. Oh dear, I must be tired, I am getting stupid. Anyway, it is all looking great and connected. Hehe at the circus music. Where is JayJay?
JayJay!!! Where was JayJay????? He was probably plotting behind my back to ruin my 2023 season because he learned that I would replace him with a new companion. And somehow he succeeded.
Hello Silvio, I knew you would change those little stairs, they worked but did not make a statement. You know skeleton keys were a big thing in steampunk too. Can you imagine hand rails or balusters made of skeleton keys? It is so awesome you have so many patterns you have made and saved. Ohhhhh, love that pattern, the Italian wall you are putting on the side of your large stairs. It is so beautiful. The bridge ibeautiful. It is a hodgepodge of stone, brick and copper and works perfectly! Yes, the stair master has done it again! Perfection. I struggle with stairs, but I just finished gluing a set that is 12 inches tall and they don't look too bad...lol Great addition to your canal fences, great idea. Oh my stars, Mary Poppins...love it! Holy smokes Sherlock and Gadget, loving the wild and crazy! Yes, Jekyll and Hyde made it! Wow, Jack has a lot of extras to brutalize his victims Eww the barber Sweeny Todd! I may have nightmares tonight. The wild and crazy you definitely needs to feature the mad hatter!! It is all coming together so well.
Hello Susan, Yes skeleton keys. But unfortunately they would have been too fragile 3D printed at the dimension which was needed to use them as handrails for those stairs. 12 inches of stairs! They must be impressive. I also 3D modeled the Mad Hatter but never found a place for him. It was bigger than Mr. Hyde.
Hello Silvio, What a beast of a crane! The fence, walls and gate for the scriptorium are gorgeous! Such cool props for the performers. Ohhhhh, love the red eyed rabbits. The forerunner of billboards, they turned out really cool. Holy smokes, I am feeling a Quentin Taranation vibe! Alice is rocking. More of the gathering. The circus is truly wonderful, I can hear the ringmaster calling, come one come all! I so enjoy The Name of the Rose, I own a copy of the movie. I cannot wait to see which ones you modeled, maybe the blind monk, Jeorge. Going to be some digging going on. I enjoyed the little snipets of you singing. Do you ever whistle while you work?😊
Hello Susan, Big mistake letting out my very very VERY out of tune voice. Shame on me. No, I don't whistle. I just talk with my dozens of my internal voices, sometimes I answer their questions, sometimes I argue with them and sometimes I listen to them. My head is so overpopulated that I have repeatedly asked many of them to emigrate, that I would pay them to do so. Unfortunately they must all be rich because no one ever accepted.
lol, but what would do if they were not with you? Wild and crazy can be fun. I loved my job and hated when I was forced to retire because of my vision. Now mind you, I am not saying you are crazy. My caseload was mainly comprised of adults with Bipolar, schizophrenia , and or Borderline Personality Disorder and boundaries were very necessary. We, the therapists, would not accept gifts from clients, rarely a good idea. One day I was in the middle of a session and someone knocked on my door.! I answered the door and it was another client. Before I could remind her to not interrupt someone else's session, she thrust a frozen turkey into my arms. She then said, I know you cannot take gifts and I know you are with a client so you can't chase me down. So, Happy Thanksgiving. I went back in my office and my client burst into laughter as I just stood there dumbfounded holding a 20# frozen turkey!
What a wonderful novel it would turn out to be with all the vicissitudes you have faced in your career. Don't worry, with my extreme honesty as always, I'm the one who says I'm crazy. The line that separates an engineer from DID and autism is very very thin and mine broke many years ago. I simply learned to live with them.
Hello Silvio, I am so glad you found #2 and "4 Elf lane, so cute! Red is a great choice. Looks like old bloodstain. Ut oh now you have bloodstain on your coat. Holy mother of pearl, gorgeous stairs, Incredible hugging stairs! Magicians stage is really a great idea, allowing him to be showcased but leaving room for other acts. Glad you shared. I came from that generation too, I can change a tire, change the oil and change my mind😊 Wow! Amazing time machine. It is a fantastic book, and in the book his time machine had a saddle for a seat. In my mind, when he disappeared he went back for Winnie. Yes, a little romantic.
Hello Susan, I like to think that the Time Traveler not only went back for Weena but for all the Eloi people. To give them a new future avoiding the mistakes of the people of his (the time traveler's) time.
Hello Silvio, Yay, the knife thrower made it to the circus. Wow! The mysterious building is a masterpiece. A beautiful blending of styrofoam and 3D printing. Yes, stair stairmaster indeed. Oh no, poor Jay, now I feel bad because I was sad when he replaced Sister Sarah, but I didn't want him to die🙏 Hello Jay2, JayJay. Well, I do not have any idea about the third featured author.
Hello Susan, You will guess the third author in a fraction of a second. Even less. I have no doubts. Tomorrow I will start 3D modeling my new companion for the 2024 season.
Yay! This store truly is incredible. How many years have you been coming here? If I ever made it to Italy, this store would be very high on my list of things to see. Luville truly has some gorgeous pieces, but yes Lemax is more budget friendly. What? A car inside, that is unusual and fun. Ohhh love the train snow globe combo. Snow globes are magical! Dang those cakes and cookies look mouth watering. From miniatures to bigger than life, they have it all. But I did not see a Christmas toilet seat cover...lol Beautiful Nativity pieces. Such craftsmanship You got some great goodies. ohhh hehe, love the impersonation of the lady saying yes.
Hello Susan, I discovered that store in 2013. But at that time the diffusion of Lemax products in Italy was limited. Not like today, and there was no sign of Luville. It had a lot more traditional Christmas decorations at the time. And for a few years I was also lucky enough to be able visit it with my mother. In there she taught me an avalanche of different things relating to combinations, what works and what doesn't in a traditional Christmas Village, yes colors and no colors, the pure aesthetic taste, the one that must be objective and not simply subjective as many mistakenly teach us. Only when I visited that store alone for the first time did I fully understand how much her intention was actually to pass on to me her true legacy, her great lifelong passion.
Hello Silvio, Oh wow, I am glad you did not use the Big boy, but it was cool watching it! But yes, I think I will just stick to street lamps. The electrical arc is totally awesome! Your mysterious building is looking fabulous, so detailed. You are full of excellent ideas and techniques, look at the roof. Entrance is nothing short of spectacular. Loving the circus props too. Fantastic job!
lol, I can only imagine. But, you have mentioned there are more buildings that you are creating in that series, so who knows, you may end up using it again. Like Fievel the mouse said, never say never. ( from An American Tail, animated movie)
Hello Silvio, You are a busy man. I had never heard of theatre sports, so I looked it up. I am so glad that feeding your creativeness rejuvenated you! Love the front of your mystery building. Give you triangles or arcs. Your windows are a blend of both and beautiful. Look at those braziers! You have made the coolest collection of walls and pavings ever! Holy cow, that is a lot of voltage, woohoo bring on the juice, that is going to be so cool! Look how perfect your wall matches the bricks on your stairs. I cannot believe all that was done in half a day. You are a marvel.
Hello Susan, I should probably start wearing a Super Hero costume. After a year of absence, and I really don't know how to justify myself for this mistake, in 2024 the sections dedicated to some particular features will return. At least 4. Extreme, very extreme, much more extreme than those seen in the past. Too much spoiling.......
Yes Silvio, at least the super hero cape!😋 Oh wow, I cannot wait, no really I cannot wait. I have been so spoiled being able to watch each part whenever I want. I am almost to the end.
Oh Silvio, You were so sad. Great solution to mimic flames. Oh wow, LEDs can sure take a beating, hot glue and in water. I had no idea you could do that. That was amazing, you are an artist even with hot glue. Thank you, I may try making some globes. Such gorgeous windows. You are so sad but I know you will manage to get it done.
Hello Susan, I still remember when I filmed this Part 13. Psychologically I felt like an amoeba. But, as Freddy Mercury taught us, The Show Must Go on. No matter what.
Hello Silvio The arc cut through the stairs add to the medieval vibe. Those are some awesom shaped windows. The dome! Let there be light and there was. Looks fantastic. The seating bleachers are now in sync and more of the background. Looks more open. Incredible
But you did start early with your awesome author features. You just had so many time consuming projects at one time in one years village, I don't know how you even got it all done!
