Seems like the Twitch is the only thing going. Channel is effectively on permanent hiatus unless they say otherwise in the community tab. It's a shame because it's going to be hard to get any traction in the new RU-vid with months off for videos even if there's a good reason.

The space scenes are very realistic because next to Kubrick was Arthur C. Clarke. He was a famous science fiction writer but also knew his science. He helped promote the concept of geosynchronous orbit satellites that are the basis of our communications network. He kept it real in this movie.

Watched your reaction of 12 Angry Men, so when I saw this one I gave it a go. Not to be an ass, but I’m about to move on before the war footage. The lady is pleasant, but chats a bit much. The guy, though I’m sure he’s a decent fellow, is a liability. Couldn’t stand the silly laughter. Just hit me the wrong way. Peace.

No one likes war but it war will never go away, these movies are made for people that don’t understand the bravery and they’re made to respect our soldiers and what they actually went through.

What an absolutely horrible way to watch "2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY" for the 1st time! You should have watched it in a dark room with a minimum print in 4k with the largest screen you can find, with 6 track sound. And most of all, watch the damn film without Yammering.

The "foreshadowing" of the father's death (the pain in his arm and hand, sweating and dizziness) were actually symptoms of a heart attack he got a few moments later. I truly believe the baroness loved him in her own way and was distraught by his death - and if that was not because of him, then at least because of being left on her own, without a breadwinner, with three young children, in a strange, new place, left with a property and servants she thought below her

Respectfully I think you guys just don't understand American culture or films of the time. Plus these are teenagers. You are looking at the film as an adult, not through younger eyes.

My favorite Hitchcock movie is Rear Window with James Stewart and Grace Kelly. It is amazing what Hitchcock can do with one room and a courtyard to build suspense.

Since you love Abigail Breslin here, try M. Night Shymalan's Signs...she is 5 yrs old there and superb! as is Rory Caulkin who plays her brother. Mel Gibson/Joaquin Phoenix. It is one of my favorite movies. Abigail Breslin is adorable and quite the actress at 5!

*Loved* a lot of the conversation, during, ...but the after.... When you had a chance to connect the dots... ...you didn't. ...nope. Just no. Respect for your honest, first reactions, but no. There are so many connections, beneath, ...and ... missed. Just as I'm commenting now, you are talking about accents.... Juan/Sean ...has been alive for 2,400 years, in multiple cultures, and lives? Wouldn't those combine, or overtake in the latest life... in who you are, let alone how you *speak*, over that time? We are who we are with/without//love/and who are we are around, and share *that life with*. We socially (mime/parrot?) those around us. Even in small groups over a few years.... We develop a shorthand, and that can, I think, over time, also become parts or pieces of not just some verbal shorthand, but also, different accents. *Thats* Connor. So many lifetimes, so many lives, so many things..... It's all become combined. OFC it's not any one thing, delineable. ...because it was never just *one* thing. It was *all* of them, combined. Still enjoyed the reaction, maybe not the end, b/c ... wait, ... the accent was the point? ...was it?

the airport announcers were in fact real husband and wife at LA airport, not to many pick up Kramer walking through the mirror at his house, or the beach scene was from here to eternity movie the whole movie was from the "Zero hour movie" it follows the movie almost exactly except the comedy was added in

Kubrick never went to Africa, he sent a stills photography unit. The ape scenes were all done in a studio on a very brightly lit set with the African backgrounds front-projected onto a screen. And that zebra?....a dead horse painted with stripes. Apparently, it stank pretty bad!

Good ear on the accent. Many people think all Americans sound the same but we don’t. Bill Murray & Vince Vaughn grew up in the same area of Chicagoland. So, yes they do sound alike because of the region they grew up in

I’m sure I’m late to the game with is comment, but an alternate juror sits in the courtroom like a regular member of the jury and hears all the evidence and testimony. They are there in case something happens to one of the twelve jurors (accident, illness, excusal for some conflict, etc.). This way there is a replacement who is up to speed and can step in right away without delaying the trial, and they still have a full jury. It depends on the jurisdiction, some have up to three alternates. In some jurisdictions you might have 15 jurors and you don’t know which jurors are the alternates until it is time to deliberate so that all the jurors stay invested and pay attention to everything.

Many films were B&W then due to exspense. This wasn’t a cheap film because the star talent is immense, including the angry man, Lee J Cobb, and Henry Fonda, juror number 8.
