Did I miss any talk about large plants? Seems like that could be another thing to consider here. :) The only point I'll argue, is that coffee beans make the zoom zoom juice, and I like being zoomy. xD
Totally agree with your ranking! Jade is always the most important one, I tend to allocate all iridium in a certain order to first maximise getting more iridium from skull cavern dives (not the biggest fan of combat, so) Like 1. Make more crystalariums for more staircases 2. Update pickaxe to iridium (so regular mine stones can be broken with one hit rather than two, making finding drop shafts easier) 3. Iridium ring (for more damage and so I have an extra slot for another ring free, like the crabshell one or lucky ring / burglar ring) Only then do I make iridium sprinklers, get the iridium pickaxe (felling trees in 3 hits is so satisfying!), repair the boat to GI and so forth.
Jade and destruct for 99 stones cause i hate mining stone. But also love haing the staircase. Then Diamonds for money but also gold and just good to have on hand. Ruby for eels meals but also good to have on hand. Then Moonstone cause they pretty.
Unless things have changed very recently, waiting until a different day won’t cause a different enchant to happen - it’s using the forge for enchanting a different tool that will change what your next enchant is. Each game seed has a list of enchantments for each tool and any enchantment will cause the forge to move down all lists. I believe adding a galaxy soul also moves everything to the next spot on the list.
Yes, I may not have been very clear, but you are correct. Interesting note on the galaxy souls if that's true. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
Small note (I'm not sure if you said it and I missed it): If you are planing on catching any specific fish (like mussels to trade for mango saplings), you should NOT pick the mariner profession since it overwrites the chances to be all equal to 0.143 regardless of the bait used. Thus, it is best to get any other profession and use targeted bait for a chance of 0.218 (in case of mussels).
Good point. I didn't mention that explicitly, so thanks for bringing it up. In that case it would also be wise to avoid luremaster, since it would be auto-baiting with standard bait instead of targeted bait. Thanks for watching!
There's actually an exploit with fish ponds in 1.6! If you add a golden animal cracker to a fishpond it doubles its production and if you leave an item in overnight and the fish don't produce a new one the next day then the item doubles. That means if it produces 2 roe then the next day it doubles to 4, this stacks so the next day it will be 8 and so on. All that said, basically if you do it right and know how the game determines things then you can get a ton of the same items over and over again, if you do that with rainbow trout then you can get a stack of 999 Prismatic Shards in a few days!
To some extent yes, but certainly not deep enough to account for everything. Since you can buy wheat flour and oil at the general store, I weighted that a bit lower, but if you are doing a lot of cooking, making your own wheat flour and oil will save you a lot of money over buying them from Pierre. There are a lot of good recipes out there. Thanks for bringing it up and thanks for watching!
The enchantment order won't change on a new day, either. But you can test what's next for each tool by trying it and then reloading the day to see what another tool gets on that line (check the mouseypounds Stardew predictor to see how the only way to change it is line by line in the predictor table there. Unless something changed about that in a recent update...?
I had a rainbow trout pond on my 1.5 Perfection farm...I think I got 3 or 4 rainbow shells and absolutely no prismatic shards after running the pond at full capacity for a couple of in game years. So, yeah, pretty unlikely (unless you use the predictor and shuffle your pond around, I suppose).
seeing the lil prismatic shard shining through a pile full of other dropped loot fills me with such automatic good feelings. they're so pretty! and i haven't played enough for them to have become Unspecial to me yet... my current playthrough uses remixed mine rewards, so I was stuck using a tempered broadsword the first several times I went into Skull Caverns (needless to say, I did not get very far). So the Galaxy Sword I got with my first prismatic was obviously key-- but with a decent weapon I could start getting good loot drops, so I swapped out the Galaxy Sword for a dwarf sword I found in a barrel on a mummy level. by numbers alone the galaxy sword is obviously superior but it seems a shame for the game to have so many fun weapons, most of which you get in cool ways like loot drops from slain enemies, and never use them just because they don't have the most mathematically perfect stats available. dwarf sword is more than good enough for my needs! and eventually I'll get something else I like and switch to that instead. For now, the galaxy sword is sitting in a chest at home lol.
Hi! There is some misinformation here. If you are not going the Joja Route, Ginger Island does not open on a specific date. Ginger Island opens once you've completed the Community Center and have donated all the items to fix the boat behind Willy's shop (these tasks become available to complete after you've completed the Community Center).
@@ladyjustice619 You are correct that GI is tied to completion of the CC, however some of the bundles (notably the foraging bundles) require specific seasons to complete. It is possible to complete the the traditional bundles by mid summer given some RNG with drops in Skull Cavern, however its far more likely that your first opportunity to complete the CC is during Winter 1 as that's when the last item required for the completion spawns (Crocus). While it may be an oversimplification I don't think it merits "misinformation".
Thanks for the info on how to get multiple smokers on the riverland farm with multi player, however you can use {74} as a code for names to get a free prismatic shard, or start a new farm use the name and every time someone calls your name you get a free shard, lol
Thanks!! I needed this. I have 34 and I needed to know what to do with them other than the ways I knew about. Apparently it is harder to get them this update but I just go with lucky lunch and on the highest luck day and suddenly get 8-12 in 1 skull cave visit. It took no time to get 30+ !!
It's pretty similar for me, with the difference that the nr 2 on my list is the Rock Candy - 3 shards is a steep price, but let's be honest - with that buff, it's not that hard to gather even more so it basically pays for itself ❤
I recently needed a dwarf gadget to complete the museum collection so I ran around bombing the sh$$ out of everything in the mines (floors 90+) and got three prismatic shards in the process. WTH!
Fifty percent of the time I get my first shard from the Quarry at the end of year one, if I don't then I have to wait till Skull Cavern which makes runs harder since I need to use the Lava Sword.
I usually have a bit of every regrow able crop, just in case I need it. Trees on the borders, and the rest is ancient fruit (for money) and strawberries (cause I like them).
Heyho, aren't you missing two spots? Below the barrel and the hayfork at the top, respectively? I was able to plant there. Or are you skipping them on purpose?
Someone got into slime breeding and made slime hutches extremely profitable by having white slime offspring that have a high drop of diamonds when killed. Thats a lot of work... But the idea is good. So Imo, slime farm is most useful OUTSIDE the slime hutches, where you can earn exp and have more than 20 continually breed and can be regularly slain for drops.
For example , you can have a small coal farm by breeding black slimes. You can get iridium, iron, gold, copper , hardwood , coal, stone, refined quartz, wood, diamond, prismatic shards, slime eggs, and lots of minerals that sell well with gemologist profession.
I've kind of wanted to try that, but it seems like such an ambitious goal to go through all the breeding and sorting. Maybe someday I'll give it a shot! Thanks for watching!
Coffee is very complicated to calculate properly because of the fact that they give 5 seeds which can be replanted, so the profit/loss table will look very weird, making coffee unable to compare to any other crops around. However, in my opinion it is undoubtedly an S tier all around. I once got a coffee bean from spring 11th in the mine and decided to make a coffee only run. By mid summer I managed to fill up 2/3 of my farm with just coffee and sprinklers. I spent fall and winter just making a ton of kegs and made a ton of coffee to drink and to sell. I made 2x more than my 'standard' farming playthroughs where I just went with the flow and did everything. Now whenever I see a coffee bean for sale, I just buy it. 2500 for 1 seed sounds expensive, but you have to factor in the snowballing effect once the first plant matures, since you get 5 seeds every 2 days and you can immediately plant them all. Now I always keep 1 full stack of coffee beans to regrow every year.
