The torture of trying time after time, only to fail every time. And when the time became right again, fate took you into the abyss. Now I walk alone and try to help those of us left behind. Ever onward.
Wow the songs are so beautifully chosen and of course so beautifully sung. Every lyric resonates with Lucifer at the time in the series, and of course the emotion is portrayed elegantly through Tom
I was a huge fan of this song before Lucifer but when I heard this I was floored. This song is filled with so much emotion, the really really deep stuff and T. Ellis knocked it out of the park, past the International Space Station and out of the solar system. I’m in tears here
What a fabulous cover! A great voice with great acting. If actor Gregory Peck (To Kill A Mockingbird) had been a singer, this is how I imagined he would sound (Gregory Peck had a fabulously deep, powerful speaking voice). This should be released in full on CD. I’D buy it! 😍
I thought this song was written for the show, it felt so perfect. It fits like a fucking glove. As if the show was written with the lyrics in mind, or the song was meant for this show all along. Tom has the voice of an angel, this role could never have been filled by anyone else.
It's like the whole series was made based on this song, I never thought I get to hear it, a total surprise and stunning moment as each word that is being sung is absolutely accurate to Lucifer's situation
Are ya'll tone deaf? His notes are flat, his pitch is all over the place. You guys stating that this is the best cover ever... make me fear for the future of music
