Had this experience once. Sleeping at my grandma's, I woke up to no sound at all. Nothing. Then I noticed there was a tall, featureless, black figure that was skinny as hell, looming over my bed. It just stared at me for an unprecedented amount of time before disappearing.
Whenever I experience sleep paralysis, I don't see anything (like my eyes are closed) but I feel someone on top of me suffocating me very vividly. It actually gets hard to breath and is a little painful.

(Caution long ahh story) 5 years ago I was home alone one night, Because I alone I had this feeling to get scared so I decided to watch some creepy videos. On my 3rd video it was a summary of haunting, I forgot what it was about but it terrified me. I realized it getting darker I went to sleep with the lights on, as soon I drifter alseep I had a dream of Me, but I was floating above myself in the dark but I could see myself clear as day. In this odd pov of watching myself sleep, I had a feeling of being shaken awake. When I awoke I started screaming because I was just watching myself sleeping and my room was completely dark. I ran downstairs and grab my uncles rifle aiming at the stairs, about 7 minutes later I heard sirens outside getting closer. Soon after the front door started banging I just booked staight to the door, the police men asked what was the screaming about and a several other questions. I told them about the nightmare but they thought it was strange so they just wanted to have a check while one of the officers contacted my Uncle and aunt, they came home. The police sorta scolded them for letting me be home alone at this late, they left soon after. But after what my aunt had heard they brought me to a priest the next day and got the house blessed, the priest said he felt a presence of complete anger and darkness, but he felt it leave after the blessing. To this day im still sleep with lights on and a bible near me😂
