Charlamagne is wrong... Mixed Race is Not Coloured. I'm a coloured South African. We do have mixed-race people in South Africa, but we also have Coloureds. These are two differenct ethnicities, races and cultures. Trevor Noah is Mixed-Race and does not share coloured culture. His a direct mix of white and black, so he is mixed race. Coloureds are multiracial ethnic communities in South Africa who have ancestry from African, European, and Asian people, who have their own distinct culture.
And because of the various ethnicities, and that our ancestors spoke Afrikaans, the NP government classified us as coloured, beginning an official race in the Republiek van Zuid-Afrika.
Not when Americas were destroyed for that same classification. Not when East India always received what the West was due. Not when S. Africa wanted to imply sanctions on America. Take her back. Respect our struggles. We honored everyone else's. Can't say that around us. It reminds us of Slavery and oppression. It's time the WORLD comprehends that when they celebrate kicking us out all the time.

No, as a coloured man. Exactly like Tyla even lighter in skin. Coloured uniquely identify with a group with mixed heritages. Some coloureds have no black ancestors and others do. We are unique in the ancestrial world classification. Are simple coloureds. Tyla is darker than me, yet our are the same in culture are ancestral diversity European, Indian, filipino, African, Malaysian, Chinese. I am french, German, British and filipino, khoisan but no pure black ancestrial heritage. I look like you.

Thats so crazy growing up in South Africa we have different race classification...i would never look at Tyla and think she is Black for one second but in America she is classified as Black🤷♀️.But for Tyla to say she is Black and deny her Coloured heritage just cause a bunch of Americans insist the rest of the world sees race the way they do🤦♀️The right thing to do was to say nothing.
Tyla is just eye candy .she really don't have that vocal voice that stands out..she sounds like a 15 year old lil girl an she can twerk like all the other industry girls.. .nothing special.. except she new on the block..thats it.. end of story😮
I believe the real South African dancers perform this dance with far less body movements and with a certain sort of "attitude" while doing so. I could be wrong, but, from the South Africans I know here in the USA and have met over the years they are far less animated when dancing in general.
People are mad Sexy Red did not win......But I think the critics needed real vocals and real music. Not music for hoes. Plus Tyla's album performed better internationally. RED is only for America.
