You should show how to take the screws in and out. It’s really hard unless you do it just so. I spent about an hour by trial and error figuring out just how to get the screws in and out just to find out that the replacement part fits the machine, but then the screen doesn’t fit all the way into the part even though I used the correct model number for the machine to order the part from LG. Can you say TFWOT? My best advice to those of you out there who are not doing something like this on a regular basis: higher a professional. It’s worth the money.
Good stuff. Mine doesn't have the side media, that's weird.. but I always see them in the replacement kits. Thanks for the video - also helped me take those clips off without breaking stuff ;)
mine had original pads after 8 yrs i decided to to with the blue master cool got a big roll for 52$ compared to 120$ for the dactory replacement but i see that these other kinds of pads do not work well since they are not rigid they fall off the sides when soaked in water unless secured every milimeter and since they are so thin i doubled it up and since the inside is so small compaeed to big box ones you really need the factory replacement.
Thank you and God bless you for sharing your knowledge. My water line kept on leaking. I keep changing the brass sleeve but nothing I did help. I did this which took like 2 min and no more leak🥳. Thank you
Since my unit is a roof mounted down draft, you will not catch me on the roof 'every few weeks' routing the distributer lines 😁! That said, only once did I have a problem with clogged distributor (sometimes aka 'spider') caused by aspen fibers getting sucked up by the pump. Solution: make sure the screen on the pump or basket is in good condition.
Great video. Hey i need to replace my pump, do you happen to know how to access the electrical panel where the pump connects to? I know the pump electrical line theads in from the back i wonder if the other end can be accessed by taking off the front panel???
Great video - easy to follow all of the steps. I just hooked up my water using the same system that you did. I'm running the cooler and haven't seen water come out of the overflow yet... is there a way to hook the water supply up so that you can leave the hose bib on "low"? That's what I have it at now, but I'm sure at some point it is going to start out the overflow valve. I'll check out your other videos, but will be sure to clean my cooler at the end of this season - thanks again!
we just bought the same unit and finished converting it to side discharge ,, now ,, we will use it as a window unit for our yurt ,, its now siting on a 2 feet high platform outside of the window , do you have a video on how to wire this please ?
Are the holes for the distributor supposed to be pointing up like yours? Mine was and I made them point downward. It seemed like the water was spraying and dripping excessively past the pads with them pointing up.
Quick question boss. How much water is it normal for these units to discharge through the purge hose? Mine is quite a bit. About 1 gallon an hour. It is a new unit so the plug (or whatever it's called doesn't have any buildup). I'd appreciate the input. Great video by the way 👍
i need to jb weld a few pin holes in the pan, i installed the unit new in 2002, 6 yrs ago i did the black stuff you show here. needs another pan tune up again, rusty as hell :)
