@@boogity66 Thanks for the timely reply. I just hooked up a swamp cooler to a bee barn. For right now we are using a simple plug in thermostat which starts at 40 degrees which is perfect for this situation. The bees are wintered in the barn in the dark and both heat and carbon dioxide build up. They try to keep the room temp below 45 degrees or more. Most swamp cooler thermostats don’t go lower than 55 degrees so was wondering about the one you are using?
I just bought one of these cooler thermostat's but I only have 4 wires coming out of my wall inside of the house and I can't get my pump to work because I am missing a wire 😞 I was just wondering what to do next because everything is working great except the pump and as you know a swamp cooler is no good without a pump ??
With the description you have given it's hard to know maybe you don't have a variable speed motor even if you wire it for a single-speed the pump should work you need to follow the diagram it came with
Yes I followed the diagram but the problem is I have only 4 wires coming out of my wall in my house and I missing the wire for the pump I do have high and low and everything else is working fine but can't wire up the pump because I am short one wire I was wondering if there a way to wire up the pump by using one of the other wires ??
In the manual it says that if you do not 5 wire's than you need to add a neutral wire for the pump but I really don't want to go through all that trouble and I was wondering what if there was an easy way to go about it ??
@@ARIZONATOURIST This project is really meant for somebody who feels comfortable with working on electrical it sounds like you're not comfortable with it your best bet is to not do it try to find somebody who is comfortable and is capable of looking at a schematic and figuring out the wiring is your best bet
Hello I have swamp cooler but I also have a thermostat in the home and I’m not sure if those are connected because the thermostat says off but my swamp cooler is on high cool is there anyway I can adjust the temperature to get colder. I have no clue about this stuff I’m just the renter.
Chances are your swamp cooler is not connected to that thermostat a swamp cooler runs off of a 110-volt thermostat if you're bleeding off water from the swamp cooler that will help keep it cooler
@@boogity66 thank you turns out it needed a belt it had a slight tear in it however it seemed to improve some but it’s still not keeping the house cool.
@@James-m2g common is the return, meaning the wire going back to the energy source. Hot comes from the breaker box, common returns back to the breaker. No common, no electrical circuit. If you are still confused, I highly recommend hiring an electrician to complete the work as proceeding further would be dangerous to you and everyone in the house.
@@jimgosney8616 Yeah, why would you mount it outside? If you want to turn it off you have to walk out where your T Stat is and shut it off. I wanted a video showing how to install one inside the home.
