Hi and welcome to my channel. My name is Péter, I'm a Hungarian tutor living in London. My videos will help you practice and improve your Hungarian in a fun and practical way. Besides teaching you how to pronounce words, form sentences, use various structures you can see and hear practical everyday dialogues, songs, jokes and other cultural references that will make your studies more interesting. I'm also open for suggestions for new videos. So enjoy, comment and subscribe. Köszönöm és szép napot!
This video is so helpful!! I started learning Hungarian recently and want to surprise my grandma! so I've been using this video a lot, lol. It helps that you're funny too
dz,dzs,q,w,x,y - nincs olyan magyar szó amelyikben ezek a betűk szerepelnének... Már hallom is az ellenpéldákat! Pl: "A lándzsás letette findzsáját,s kiment a WC-re.A döglött kakas qtyája qukorékolni kezdett. Az edzőteremben yayweszékelő qrva handzsárral hadonászott newyorkpusztai aqcentussal! Ideje lenne már ezt a sok hülye betűt kidobálni! Talán egy-két elmehunyt akadémistával együtt...
You can immediately spot the native Hungarian accent, not because you do anything wrong, but because you do not instinctively try to add that extra multi-vowel open mouth roundness that many native English speakers do.
Hi Peter, Please would you recommence your teaching; I love your style and delivery… I married a beautiful Hungarian woman 14 months ago, so would be very useful to learn this language… Thank you 🤩👍
My surname is Gyorkos. Being in USA, this has been a problem with friends and myself. My dad changed the pronunciation of it to Gorkos when we moved on time. Originally Jerkes with the Gy sound. I like the original myself
Why are english and american people acting like they've never heard sounds like this before 😂😂 say any letter you find weird and I will say an english word with the same sound in it
My great grandparents where from Magyarorszag and where magyar. I didn't get to know them but our surname is Csatlos.anf my great grandpa change it from Csatlos to Chatlos when they came over here because no one new how to pronounce Csatlos and they didn't know that CS was pronounced like English CH. Hell I didn't even know that for a long time. My great grandma's maiden name was Szuhay and I just love to here the language being spoken. I was born in America and am mostly Hungarian/Magyar and am facisanated with the whole history of the very mysterious People's and their very unique history. Wish I could have known them like I know the other sides of my families but all I have is my personal research and that would be nothing at all like me at 61 years old. Had the privilege of being around my other side of my family and I always asked the elders. Who are we ? And they loved to tell me their stories but I never had the opportunity to ask my Magyar family anything. 💔💔💔
