Well also take into account the exchange rates as well. In Canada we are not the capital of the world of fat people either, we eat usually to feed ourselves and do not attempt to look like a semi-truck backing up everywhere we go. As Canadian meats do have standards with them and not overfilled with steroids, antibiotics and numbers only ingredients like in the USA. Food markets do have to make profits to remain open and serving the public, in the last 4 years price in grocery stores had gone way up because of Trudeau carbon tax mainly. From farmers, truckers, butchers plants etc all have to pay it at every level over and over. Turkey is not a thing like it is in the USA, the last time i had turkey was when i went to Florida 25 years ago with the kids and it was just sad to eat. I had a friend who had went wild turkey hunting 20 years ago, he killed it, cooked it and had a dinner with friends and we ate it, it was delicious. Walmart i haven't went back there in 26 years at the opening in my town, that isn't a grocery store at all to me and if it closed down i wouldn't care at all. Wanna buy processed and reprocessed foods that it is frozen, unfrozen multiple times. They wanted to get a higher priced for the low level jobs?? Jobs that used to be at 7.25$/ an hour!!! Those are now 15$ to 20$/an hour 😂🤣😂🤣 I drink my tap water from my well for the last 52 years and still going strong and free!!! Kraft parmesan is not parmesan cheese at all!!! It is processed and made up wanna be cheese with artificial flavors and nothing else. I buy my canned tuna for 1.29$ each at my grocery store and when they come up on special at 1$ a can for 10 for 9.99$$ . Sop buying ready to eat foods = pay the price, wanna be smart make and cook your own foods and it is a lot cheaper!!!! Dollar tree, Dollarama etc are cheaper prices but it comes at a cost, expiration dates are expired or close to expiration, they come from damaged boxes, water damage boxes, rodent damage boxes etc, when they are cheap there is always a reason!!
This is what happens when you have a government run by republicans that refuse to pass price control legislation. The free market has never and will never work. As long as capitalism is unregulated they will exploit the working class.
I like in a town in Muskoka. Groceries are crazy I only have one child that isn’t an eater and I’m kinda thankful. I’m m not sure how people with hungry kids manage. Or our seniors for that matter. Our cell phone rates are insane as well. Nor do we have a dollar store that sells frozen food. We have to take it dry though since Diddy has bought up all the lube in North America!
You only have to buy those one time. Install pass inspection and then replace with standard breakers. Then use the afci’s on the next job. Repeat this process. 😂😂
First, many of the shoppers ARE "new" Canadians who get it ALL PAID FOR. Watching them shop without any regard to price. Also eating ALL day in the food courts. Second, while you might think Walmart prices are bad... they are usually MUCH MUCH less than Loblaws, Metro.. ..
Here I thought that prices here Downunder were bloody high ? But this takes the cake for mega inflation. I can't believe the prices of your groceries but then again they will blame someone. These are in kg weight not just pounds - but 2.2lbs = 1 Kg. So after you sell a kidney, lung & some intestines. With the Aus Dollar & Can D being a close comparison this is bloody scary to us.
@@cjgoeslive Well we really have 3 - Woolworths & Coles + Aldi. IGA is an Independent Grocers Association & these are a chain but owner operators. The sell 80% of the others do. I worked once as a Contractor Auditor for another long gone discount chain who attempted to take on the big 2 & failed. They added a butchery, bakery, seafood, fresh fruit / veges & failed as they expanded too fast. They had Generic Products called NO FRILLS that were not too bad. But for the working class (like all of us) they were pretty good.
Higher taxes in Canada compared to USA. Government policy affects cost of living. Also, carbon taxes on all fuel = higher costs for shipping, trucking etc. The consumer pays in the end.
I have food allergies but when I lived in Washington state the Whole Foods was so high, I looked into natural foods to eat, no package foods, just fruits, veggies, chicken and plain pastas. Spices from the Dollar store are from China, they are filled with chemicals. I do buy organic spices.
It's not inflation its stupidity, I had to add a bunch of breakers to a job site 3 years ago... I bought them online for $1 each, both my local box stores were asking $60 each. Same brand, same style, same rating.
@@Spanky_McWaffleson No, I bought the spares from a construction company. Remember that most companies quote and buy 10% more than needed for a job, then they try to recover some money by selling the spares. Great way to get a discount if you can find it. Honestly their wholesale price was $20.
You literally just explained why this is caused by greedflation. The parts aren’t actually that expensive but these companies are allowed to price gouge us.
While the content of the video is sad.... am I the only one who noticed this guy about record his stupid A being hit standing in the middle of the lane. The same lane that the doors are at.... these are always a nightmare, but live streaming being backed over is a bit overkill to get views. Be safe out there man, but thank you for the video and keep it real my friend.
Nationwide code requirement. All new construction MUST have the arc fault breakers. The only a Few manufacturers. It's a monopoly, almost. The government is in the ripoff business.
I go Florida as well. I find prices for food are very much the same. Beef is still high in both countries. Chicken and turkey lower . I am a senior. My pension is 1400. monthly. I have my home paid for. My vehicle is ev and is a huge savings on filling up. My health care and meds are all paid for. Blood work etc.Groceries do not have a tax. Our wages here are much better than states. Having worked in banking I am a really good budgeted.i found so many people are always walking around with extra large pop and or coffee. I buy for me need and not my wants.
