Tip for you. Take a spare paddle!! Looks quality though!! What is the weight? Am thinking of you were going to that bothy beside Kinloch Rannoch you could buy some kind of cart with four wheels and pull it towards the loch from the parking spot.

@@PishedupScotsmaninSweden that's a good idea, saves the alternative of whittling paddles come the worst. Some specs on the Lidl Crivit 3 Many Dinghy. She weighs around 6.5kg or 13 beers. I'd say at that weight it's a feasible addition to an already kitted rucksack. I'll be putting her through the courses in coming months as midge die off.

hi! enjoyed watching. Good Effort. Felt like it was a bit of a slog towards the end? Planning this walk for two weeks time (using two cars to avoid the big walk back) how long did it take you in the end? Paul

Paul, thanks for watching. I parked at Dalrigh (Tyndrum community woodland carpark). I started from and returned there and it took me just over 11 hours. I did loose my way through the forest on my return so maybe around 10 hours would be reasonable. It's a tough day but the views are rewarding, with Ben Lui changing character when viewed from each of the summits. If you do not have a pair already, I would suggest walking poles and also a spare bottle of water particularly if it is hot. There are streams high up on Ben Lui and I drank from these with no issues.

@@Scotland_from_the_Outside Thanks for that! We are planning on parking one car on the A85 and another at Dalrigh. We will start at the A85 and travel over to Dalrigh. I have estimated that straight across is 15 miles with 1850m of ascent. Yeah, thanks for the advice. I always carry a small Sawyer filter just in case. No weight in it and can be a useful piece of kit. Thanks for your reply. Subscribed to your channel!

A was beginning to feel knackered for you. Walking through that stream 😲🥶. But then being in that bothy, sitting on the chair an the good old 'bothy tv' what a great feeling. I don't think i would've moved from that chair. Thanks for sharing, Take care, Alie xx

Hi, can you tell me the official max capacity is on these, the adverts I have looked at say 136 kilo, but other you tube videos are saying 95kg. I am quite a big guy at 114kg, and 6 foot 2, would I just sink it lol

Hi Guys great video I was wondering how much storage there actually is on the k1 for a camping trip. I can get all my lightwieght gear tent s.bag, mat cooking gear etc into a 46 litre osprey pack do you think you can use the front cargo area for a med backpack or is that pushing it. And how much useable space in the back? Would really appreciate yours or anyone else experiences Many thanks
@kennysamson6908
@kennysamson6908 10 лет назад
I can easily fit my 2 man tunnel tent, sleeping bag and all other gear (cooking etc) as well as the foot pump and a case of beer (essential) The kayak can take an extra 30+ kg easily (I weigh around 75kg) but putting your pack in the cargo net upfront is probably not wise. It is much better to unpack and distribute your gear in the back front and down the sides

The K1s are good and stable and although the handling seems ok; recently been looking at hybrid-type inflatables (Advanced Elements) which have aluminium frames instead of the inflatale bladders and have been advised these are even better than the K1s - yet to find out.
