Great wee vid. I left Dalrigh on Friday afternoon, thinking was Beinn Dubhcraig and Ben Oss with a summit camp and Ben Lui and Beinn a'Chleibh on Saturday. That rapidly changed to hitting the lochans at Beinn Dubhcraig just before sunset, setting up camp before topping out in the dark at 9pm. Back to the tent for a few hours of snapping the stars, before getting the head down and up for sunrise. Topped Beinn Dubcraig again as I had some soil samples to collect for a research program the Hutton Institute are doing on the Munro's before I tackled Ben Oss. Looling over to Lui from Oss, there is no hope in hell I'd have done that with a full overnight pack. I was thinking f**k that! 😁 Wish I had watched this last week. 👌 Drew

@the_middle_corner, thanks for watching. Your trip sounds an adventurous one and, it's a tough ole walk for sure and thats without the camping and soil sampling kit. Hope the summit camp was worth it and the midge bearable. The Hutton Institute project sounds interesting, I'll take a look. Wishing you all the best.

hi! enjoyed watching. Good Effort. Felt like it was a bit of a slog towards the end? Planning this walk for two weeks time (using two cars to avoid the big walk back) how long did it take you in the end? Paul

Paul, thanks for watching. I parked at Dalrigh (Tyndrum community woodland carpark). I started from and returned there and it took me just over 11 hours. I did loose my way through the forest on my return so maybe around 10 hours would be reasonable. It's a tough day but the views are rewarding, with Ben Lui changing character when viewed from each of the summits. If you do not have a pair already, I would suggest walking poles and also a spare bottle of water particularly if it is hot. There are streams high up on Ben Lui and I drank from these with no issues.

@@Scotland_from_the_Outside Thanks for that! We are planning on parking one car on the A85 and another at Dalrigh. We will start at the A85 and travel over to Dalrigh. I have estimated that straight across is 15 miles with 1850m of ascent. Yeah, thanks for the advice. I always carry a small Sawyer filter just in case. No weight in it and can be a useful piece of kit. Thanks for your reply. Subscribed to your channel!
