This is my 3rd favorite movie of all time and the first film I ever saw in a theater! Also, Walter’s screaming and his fists going around never gets old!
The only good thing about this movie is Josh Hartnett. I enjoyed watching it, but if I wasn't in a one-sided relationship with him for the past 26 years, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much. It was fun, because watching him was fun. Idk wtf M Night was thinking, and I usually support him. I actually liked Old even though it was ridiculous! I think this might have been worse. But Josh though 😍
There is something off with the cinematography. The shots of concert looks more like a documentary filming style. And sometimes it looks like a cinematic movie.
Does anyone else here think "The Sixth Sense" was written by someone more talented than Shyamalan? I can't think of one Shyamalan film since then that was anywhere near as mind-blowingly good.
What do you mean by saying that this film would have benefited from a "bigger producer name" behind it? This is an M. Night Shyamalan film - he was one of the producers, as well as writer of the script and director (from IMDb). The film should have ended at two or three earlier points, and the last third was preposterous. When Josh le ft in Lady Raven's car, she had already identified him as the killer, and there was no way that he just wanted to step off his car and when she insisted even agreed to her visiting his home.
Dang, I could barely solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute when I was younger. I felt like that was the best I could do, so I moved on to learning how to solve 2x2, 4x4, and so on
My analysis of him not killing or doing something crazy is that I think his OCD actually factored into it. This whole time he has been able to keep his serial killer life and family completely separate. This concert was the first time they collided where he couldn’t separate the two.

I buy that. But that's not enough to dig it out of the grave the awful dialogue put the movie in. The "interactiond" between the killer and exposition shirt-seller guy are unbearable
I just watched it yesterday and I gotta disagree with your overall take. I do think some of the criticisms are valid such as the concession stand guy telling him as much as he did or even knowing as much as he did. I also think that for how many police/fbi agents there were, their methods of identifying the suspect was ridiculously inefficient. There is absolutely no way he should have been able to get out of that building. After they left it was insane. Which is why to me it was a 8/10.
Also acting career, it seemed. The third act of the movie (after leaving the concert) was totally nonsensical and made her instead of Josh the focus of the movie.

This was an incredible video. It was very fun to watch and see where you got some inspiration. I remember a specific Minecrafty series called deep sheep from Christopher Cox which was a lot of fun. my first thought after watching was... "This could've been so good if they made the movie about a SERIAL KILLER!!!" Josh did an amazing job, but the supporting cast had some weak links. For example, the friend's mother... opportunity missed to SHOW US his serial killer side. She just ended up being annoying and too comedic as a character. This could've been soo good if it was taken seriously.
So freaking true!! Josh is absolutely killing it and then the script doesn't let him do anything. I don't think I've ever said a movie would be better with an R rating but here we are.
The major problem of Frozen is the fact that it was rewritten in a rush and you can feel it. The plot is clumsy. They sacraficed a good story, a good romance and a good character for the sake of plot twists and breaking stereotypes. Yes, the betrayal of Hans was unexpected, but WHY it was unexpected? Because the movie shamelessly LIED to you! If you will look at Hans's actions and analyze them - you will realize that they make no sense. His plans make no sense. Why he looked at Anna with love when she was not looking? Why he saved Elsa if he needs her dead? Alright, so she would bring back summ- ah, no, wait, if he thought that killing her would bring back summer - then again: why did he save her?! And of course that "Oh, i married Anna while you were not looking, there is no proof, i just married her, so now i have the right to execute the Queen herself". Through the whole movie Hans was a hero and in the last minutes they decided that they want a twist that badly, they want to shove it in your face that badly that love at the first sight is something they regret showing in the past, that they're progressive and self-aware, that they just ruined his character, ruined a cute love story of two similar lonely people. And the way they kept showing in our faces that message that love at first signt does not exist and Anna (and with her - every Disney princess who fell in love at first sight ever and every girl who dreams of love at first sight ever) is sooooo stupid and immature was incredible tasteless. Damn it, Disney, SHOW, NOT TELL! NO, SHOW IT WITH TASTE, NOT BY RUINING YOUR CHARACTERS! AND STOP BELITTLING THE MOVIES THAT MADE THE EXISTANCE OF THIS ONE POSSIBLE! Damn it, what century it is? 21st? No, Frozen is about the past, probably 19th century, and you're telling me it was considered soooo important to know each other for at least a year befor marriage, Disney? Especially for a PRINCESS?!
Wow, what a great small channel. About 2 weeks ago I got an AMC A-List subscription and am just seeing whatever is playing in theaters. I'm also going back and watching random movies on stream. Everything from b-list garbage to classics. With that comes my attempt at creating a Letterbox portfolio, and I have been struggling to figure how to rate movies. I constantly compare what I see to what my idea of a 5 star movie is. I'm going to use your scale now and separate movies in my head on exemplary and ideal when figuring my ratings. @animodev2099 *spoilers* well there is the whole thing about his brothers death that seems to be an overwhelming theme throughout the movie and it just keeeps popping up but to me i didnt really get attached to the brother real well. Up is a better movie emotionally, and the incredibles is a better superhero movie. I dont get a lot from the supporting characters in this movie as i do in the other two. All in all, it's not a bad movie. it's just a bad disney movie. With so many great movies that have come before it. Big hero 6 could've been done a lot better.
It is interesting what you said about bringing Robert Downey Jr back to play Dr. Doom because it does have to be done in the right way, so it can be good... I also liked how you talked about Wolverine and Deadpool.. It is good to enjoy that movie because I wasn't expecting things to happen the way it did.. It really caught me by surprise.. I was expecting the return of Dafne Keen as Laura which was fun to see a reunion of Wolverine and Laura... What I didn't expect was for them to bring Wesley Snipes and Jennifer Garner into the movie which really threw me off.. Which was Awesome because that was a classic..I grew to like two more characters in the movie Babypool and Dogpool they were good choices to add to the movie.. My hat is off with the genius that went into that movie, the story, the crew, the cast, and the creators, that made it... Thank you for sharing....
Don’t ask questions, just buy product and get excited about next product. This is a creatively bankrupt move because we all know doom is just gonna get relegated to a tony variant. That’s bad.
First they should have grounded the MCU and brought it back to Earth after Endgame. Second, Doom should have been the main overarching villain. Thirdly, secret invasion should have been the whole meta narrative of Phase 4.
As he’s said, he expects to provoke his audience, to make them THINK. Trap is a fun and very entertaining movie but there’s more to it than that. What if you take a preposterous premise, dress it up with 2 dozen improbabilities, have actors who can run with parody and make it hilarious. He said this film was unlike anything else he’s ever done. But some of you guys are too used to eating pablum to appreciate that what he’s done here is out of the predictable box and gives us something new and tonally absurd. Sure, there are some flaws (Saleka sings great but can’t act.) but it’s a definite 4*/5* work that is among his very best movies. My hubby and I have seen it twice!
@@mgariepy42 The second half chase and rescue shows it takes itself FAR too seriously to call itself a spoof. We can't just say any movie that fails on just about every level did so as a spoof.
You guys know why that got RDJ back right? Of all the Avengers they Haven't Shamed yet is Ironman. And although this ISN'T Ironman this is the closest they can get. Think about it guys, SHECU will have to defeat him making their point that unity isn't the goal here. It's only that women are better than the men lol
