As someone born and raised in DFW, it’s no surprise that people are still flocking to the area. The main reason is the job market, like you stated. My family and I are on the fence of moving to Oklahoma or home to Texas. We spent many years in the military and are now ready to finally settle down. Our main issue is that regardless of the job market, the housing costs are much higher in Texas versus Oklahoma. I’m going into the medical field so I can work anywhere. Being from Plano, it’s hard to argue against the amount of medical facilities in the area. Only time will tell.
Frisco should remove yellow flashing traffic light which is very very confusing to Frisco visitors. So many tourists will get confused by this light and create accidents! Frisco is a tourist town and other states do not have this light. It is a very confusing light and it hurts tourist town strongly!
My handyman told me renting out my Frisco house, instead of selling out, because all houses that they serviced last 2 months changed hands! Also, they like Universal Studio very much!
Great video!!! As a New Yorker this is firming my decision on moving! I’ve been researching and watching plenty of videos on Texas and this might be our new home!!! I love it! My daughter is 1 so I am actively looking to raise her in a great area. New York is not it anymore
@@livinginfortworth I will move to Texas, I do not know anything about it. I am confusing a lot! 😅 I have a family, I want a suburban place but I do not like rural areas. Is Mansfield too quiet?
You really missed the mark talking about hanging out..With the new development around the stadium and the coming redevelopment of Lincoln Square there will be plenty of places to have a drink. There are also quite a few bars on Division near Cooper that are nice. Also talking about housing and new construction. Unless you have a custom home built, new construction in neighborhoods is for the most part crap. I would never advise anyone to buy a new home. Especially ANYTHING from DR Horton. It's crap with spackle to look like a fine home The phrase, lipstick on a pig, comes to mind.
@@livinginfortworth I didn’t say the east coast is more humid than Houston. I questioned the idea that Dallas is considered humid. Yes, we get some humid days but I wouldn’t describe it as humid in general.
It’s a small city however it’s overly crowded, very pricey, no good restaurants. Far from everything. 20 minutes to any highway. Did I mention how expensive it is to live here? However. It’s SAFE and a good school district and that’s why we live here and want to keep it that way 😡😡
Memphis native here currently living in Saginaw. I was out here for work and family out this way. Frisco seems more my speed thinking about making that move next month.
Moving my family to Texas before the end of 2024, we’re moving from Roatán Honduras. Would love more information about the best cities in Texas to raise a family ( kids ages: 2-8) .
I can see most the points you made applying to all the DFW area. You make it sound like FW is isolated like San Antonio or something. FW is part of DFW. The schools are the only issue, there is do agree. But all those other issues people will experience as well if they move to Arlington, HEB, Dallas, Irving, etc. Even up in Plano and Frisco. And Arlington is right there next to FW, just a drive down 30 to watch a game. Plano and all those other areas up north don't have sports teams either. And lastly, I am a single woman living in a house alone in FW, I feel perfectly safe.
I think you said the reason why at about 5:20 in the video. Housing cost. It’s no longer cheap, but cheaper than quite a few places around the metro. I also want to point to people watching this video that don’t live in the area. FT worth is a large city and has its own character. With that said, it by no means sit off by itself. It is in the same metro as Dallas and their suburbs all run together! In most areas in East Tarrant county and west Dallas county, you’re really going to enjoy both cities. It’s just one big area with a huge airport departing them lol! Look at a map and you will see what I mean.
Arlington is a great place to live, the only problem is the black community, too many thugs, drug dealers and liberals who feel they are entitled to live for free. I hope they move to California or Chicago. We must protect our community from these ungovernable people.
I've wanted to relocate to fort Worth Texas but still undecided I've never lived a tornado or a hail storm and living alone might be a worry because of larger crime rates .
I’ve lived in Waxahachie my whole life. I always loved that it was a small town and everyone knew each other. Now…It is too busy! Driving into town is the absolute worst.
When I moved to Dallas 30 years ago at the end of September, it was 96 the day I moved in. You can expect to run your AC and mow your lawn for 8-9 months a year.
In 2022 we were at 80 degrees on Christmas Day 😁 then a huge tornado with severe storms the next week. And 2 really cold days with slight snow coverage. Texas has weather mental breakdowns sometimes 😂
I guess Americans love highway parking lot strip mall strip mall parking lot housing development strip mall highway housing development housing development housing development parking lot strip mall highway. Is it because they don't know anything else?
Fort Worth native so take it from me and none of them I’ve been here for a year. 1)weather yes it sucks in the summers. 2)crime I mean I haven’t noticed it though I’ve noticed people moving into area that they should have checked out first. 3) yeah yall quite moving to Texas it’s super crowded. I’ve noticed the dream of owning a home has left the area hardly any and if so pay attention to the area probably most like there is a problem, not reasonably priced, or renting. 4)high electric rates ever since 2021 Ercot has raised rates and to my knowledge has not done much to upgrade. They have rolling blackouts during extreme weather conditions in certain neighborhoods. They also been approved tax payer money for upgrades in 2023 and still charging extra lol. In short retro spec the infrastructure needs some major upgrades. Lastly FWISD schools do suck. Graduated from FWISD and I missed so much on stuff compared to my sister who graduated from KISD and they were way ahead of us. So there you have it.
