Having the greatest difficulty with keeping the nasty things up! I tie them as tight as humanly possible and Still the little buggers come down halfway the party, when people are moving in their chairs. How on earth can I prevent that? Same thing with the elastic bands. They are smaller than the chairs, but Still these come down to the bottom of the chair back as well! HELP !!!
Thank you very much for those beautiful words. My love and me did a handfasting ritual last weekend. We used your words for inspiration, translated in Dutch and with adjustments to make it fitted to us. I will put them here, so maybe another can enjoy or use the words at their handfasting ceremony! Please put them in google translate if you want to know the English version (or any other language ofc.). It will be a pleasure if anyone uses it, please let me know if you do, and blessings to your bond!

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND OR DON'T KNOW PLEASE KEEP ASK I AM SURE SOMEONE IS WILLING TO TELL YOU!!! I am not "PUSHING" What I believe in onto you and dose it not say that in the bible if you are Christian that you shall not judge others before judging yourself. If you can't stand in the Mirror saying I am perfect then you can't tell others what they are doing wrong either and on top of that handfasting is the longest time on making each other whole the words may be different but it the same way as a christian would do it as they stand at the alter saying their vows to each other .
According to www.weddingplanningfun.com, Depending on your social and religious views, you might want to include some of the wintertime holidays into your wedding ceremony decorations. This means setting up Christmas trees or the menorah at the relationship reception venue. Don't overlook the New Year as nicely. This is a non religious holiday that can provide you with a reason to enhance your marriage reception location with lots of stunning colours and give away fun party favours within weddings party.
This a 'version' of a handfasting and as is stated in the video there are many versions that originate from many cultures so the wording and the way in which the handfasting is done can vary greatly. This is only one example of how a celebrant might conduct it.
sparkdragonz your ignorant and you should keep quiet if you don't know the truth. Traditionally it is a celtic tradition for engagement. It is merely a commitment ceremony and has nothing to do with wicken or druidic, they have only recently adopted the traditional celtic engagement ceremony. So take some time to do a little research before you spread falsities.
I'm performing a same sex ceremony in September. Two brides. They want this ritual incorporated into the ceremony. I've never performed this ritual before and based on your video I'm trying to figure out how to modify it to make it more of an equal partner type ritual rather than a representation of the groom taking care of the bride. Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
What an insult. As a daughter of Ire and Alba I can't believe you just said this was like a cult. Handfasting is our ancient religious practice dating back since the dawn of human consciousness.
u cant use water beads cause they will float around. tried it for my sisters wedding. and yes u can use a fake flower. ppl cant tell that much if its fake when its in the water if u got a good brand.
My fiance was telling me about this for our upcoming wedding. Thank you for your post, I found it quite informing and will be incorporating much of into our ceremony.
