Hey! I am Sundas and I help you succeed in the data science and tech fields.
I am a self-taught data scientist from non-tech background, currently at a FAANG company. I have been in the industry for over 10 years across two big tech companies as a high-performer (top 1%).
Data Science is the hottest job family but there are many unknowns. Over the years, I have built knowledge on how to lead a successful career and love sharing it on this channel. I share tips for people interested in entering data science with the goal to democratize knowledge and make complicated topics digestible for everyone.
All opinions on this channel are my own and do not reflect the opinions of the company I work for or have ever worked for in the past.
the salaries they mention is BS, even a small company pays more than that. Most likely they make twice as much adding bonus and stocks options ... and that is when you are a junior
If you'e being sponsored by Coursera then aren't you some what FUCKING biased? That question answers itself so I will NOT waste my time watching this crock of human shit!
Hi Sundas, I'm a Brazilian data scientist trying to get a job in the United States. As a foreigner, how did you practice and improve your business English? I'm a little insecure about mine.
You guys are losing your culture. I used to live Indians for it culture and modesty. But I am appalled with the need to be like the whiteman by Indians of today.
Blue collar wants you back 5 days!!! You don’t get to change the rules. Your suppose to be at water cooler for 5 days. If I knew walking the dog and grocery shopping were part of the deal, I would have went a different route.
Thanks, It will be great to review concepts. I found the RU-vid video Statistics - A full lecture to learn Data Science by DATAtab great as a first step. It is more than 4 hours but great starting point.
@@muhammadhammad9069 there are several ways to do it most easiest is to get a job in either US or Europe via some company who can outsource you to a top notch company. These companies cannot hire you directly due to law but they can hire a B2B and that third party business if willing could hire you. Other option is to work with companies like Turing or Toptal but they keep a cut around 50% or even more than that
Well as a graduate let me tell you something. GPA is like the jack of all trade concept thing... If you have higher gpa mean you have more or less a good understanding of different concept in the discipline you choose in graduate. That doesn't mean that you have an excellent understanding in all if any of the subject. But in reality we need better understanding in one concept to apply it in real world. If you want get a Phd or a job or learning something you need to focus on one thing and only basic understanding in thinks related to what your want to focus. The problem is current education system is a fact check. It doesn't analyse you ability and depth of understanding rather just memory or a method to do it without even know what happens... There are some exceptions ofcourse
I found out today that I am expected to go back into the office later this Mid October. It is a partial return to office. This RU-vid brings up a good point. They are not going to stop at partial work from home...
I flew so much once upon a time that I got upgraded quite a bit. Complimentary if course! Having 3 free drinks was so nice. One as a sat. Another right before takeoff. Third in fight. Made flying more palatable
Despite being very talented, Satya Nadella could not qualify for any decent college in India. Being reasonably well-off, he could attend a paid college. Clearly, he understands that a good GPA and college don't matter. good luck !
