Really enjoyed your in-depth review, including the subway ride to the airport. Allows the viewer to see daily life in Korea besides the airport and plane. Thanks for the details, including showing the not-so-positive cleaning aspects of your seat area, that is something the airline should pay more attention to. I've always felt Asiana serves better food than Korean Air and your flight was no exception. Both food choices look absolutely yummy and good portions too. It's too bad Asiana is merging with Korean Air, I wish they would stay around. I flew Asiana last year betw LAX and TPE via Incheon and the food was delicious !
Nice memory of Amsterdam-Xiamen-Manila return flight. Too simple lounge in the go, free hotelroom in return. I had to pay for the taxi ( but cheap). No extra pay for single use. And free breakfast. Checked trough luggage in the go; pick up luggage on return flight. Had zero complaints as well. Price is low as Southern and Eastern . But cheapest is Juneyao : Brussels- Shanghai for 400€ return non stop 😊
They are supposed to merge with KAL. KAL economy is not much to talk about. On my last KAL flightI skipped the first meal. Choices were bibimbap and beef stew. The beef stew was like old leather. KAL on the A380-800 is being on a long distance bus for 11 hours.
1:57, It happens to me when I self check in for Airasia Philippines from Kuala Lumpur to Manila almost 4 weeks ago, I was getting the boarding pass printed, but it's not responsive, so I have to go to another self check in, it work. Almost 4 weeks ago, I flew Airasia Philippines from Kuala Lumpur to Manila, flight is 90 to 95% full, flight is good and okay, 3 and a hald hours, but were delayed for 1 and a half hour because of traffic congestion and bad weather in Manila, departing at 11pm, instead of the schedule departure of 9:45pm, arrive in Manila at 2:50am, instead of schedule arrival time of 1:45am. 1 way, I pay $66, it's very cheap.
The self-check-in kiosk should be in KLIA2? Yeah it is pretty annoying when the screen turned irresponsive after everything was completed 🥲 It is quite a cheap fare flying to MNL with just $66! We couldn't do anything for the delay due to weather condition and it gets very anxious if you have a connecting flight next up. 😅
Yes Airasia check in kiosk, it's not responding to my finger, quite annoying because I check in online in advance have boarding pass on my tablet, but I need to print my boarding pass from the kiosk. Yeah.. My final destination is Manila, so I am good, even though it's delayed because of traffic congestion in Manila and arrive at 3am, it's like a red eye flight.
@@kevin19358 This trip report was filmed on May 5th, 2024. The flight was almost 100% full as this was a Sunday 🥹 I paid around USD560 for a return ticket. ☺️
Is not better in terms of hardware. But certainly is value for money and warmer service. We shifted our business trips from KL to other countries to save part of operating cost and remain flying business class.

@@anggitasaputri8112 For my case, I went through the immigration as I need to travel to my transit accommodation. My checked baggage was not sent straight to the final destination either. I am not sure about your case, you may check with Xiamen Air staff. 🙂
The hotel double room is provided for free. If you request for a single room, you have to top up the extra cost. If you travel with your partner or your family, a double room should be working fine :) Thank you for watching too 😊

If I remember correctly, the Japanese architect got the inspiration for the roof and pillar design from the trees and canopy in the rainforest, because the original design theme/concept of KLIA (before the construction of terminal 2) was “airport in the jungle, jungle in the airport”. That’s why there are rainforest trees in parts of the airport, and the airport itself is surrounded by jungles (but in actual fact it was surrounded by palm oil estates).
Not jungle, but forest .. forest in the airport, which is in the satellite building and airport in the forest, where the airport area is planted with so many forest like trees around the airport. The palm oil trees are outside the airport.

I have a trip planned to Cebu later this year and I usually fly with Korean or Cathay, but for the price Starlux had I couldn't say no super excited now seeing the reviews.
I have flown with Starlux for 4 times. Other than this, I think the other 3 times were flawless, especially on their long-haul flights. Starlux's A350-900s are equiped with some state-of-the-art technologies and their airplanes are new, which bring tremendous comfort. I hope you could enjoy both the price and the comfort flying with Starlux. Hope a great journey to Cebu! 😊🇵🇭
You could take Emirates A380 for long-haul flight for greater comfort. You could also spend some layover time in Dubai (Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall) if you haven't visited this city! ☺️
The Problem is the trust of the Passengers into their Flight Crew after Asiana crashed at SFO coming from Seol into the Seawall at SFO’s Airport. I can’t believe since ny father was a senior flight Captain himself who often flew with an enlarged crew how 4 people in the Cockpit forgot to turn the auto throttle back horn & nobody heard the loud slow speed stalling alarm in the Cockpit. That is shocking & yes in the 90’s Korean had the reputation of the Airline with the most crashes globally. Besides buying a different Plane Asiana has to earn back the trust of its Passengers
Yeah, Flight 214 has impacted the image of Asiana Airlines tremendously and the crash scene comes out in everyone's mind when they are booking Asiana flight, just like what JAL 123 has done to Japan Airlines. I think Asiana has improved their pilot training program and over the years, the number of incidents and accidents of the Korean carrier has significantly reduced. I hope it would be safe flying with a Korean carrier for more years to come! Thank you for your comment and have a great day! ☺️
Flown with Asiana too many times to count since 2009. Always enjoyed flying with the airline and it has become a habit for me. So I'm hoping the merger doesn't go through. Mostly Seattle to Phnom Penh, via Incheon. Plus, one time to Siem Reap from Seattle tens years ago. Plus, one time from Hong Kong to Incheon in 2019. Flown to Phnom Penh twice this year from San Francisco and LAX. Incheon is also a first rate international airport to transit through.
Glad that you have enjoyed Asiana as I did! 😊 I don't support this merger too as competition drives better quality. However, Asiana is desperately trying to survive from bankruptcy due to massive debt, so a merger with Korean Air is the only solution now. ICN airport is very comfortable and I also highly recommend traveler to have their transit through here. Have a nice day! ☺️
@@ryan_cy Doesn't seem necessary to me, given that its top creditor is a public bank, and could easily provide the necessary aid to keep the airline in business. Has done it for many other businesses in the country. Interesting that there was a proposed sale that was stopped just before 2020.
@@rjg7112 Yeah its business will be run by the primary creditor, Korea Development Bank until a new owner (perhaps Korean Air) is approved. Airline business is really not an easy one as it is highly leveraged and easy to go bankrupt, but let's hope that we could be onboard Asiana for more years to come! 🙏
