I’ve always been a big fan of the Lords of Shadow games and I never understood why so many people shrugged it off as just another God of War clone. I love the lore of this series and Mirror of Fate is also pretty good. The last game isn’t great but it’s not terrible.
Holy moley, I remember being at Justin's house when they were making this. We must have been all of a 16 years old? He had another aliens game he'd made called dropship too.
This was a great video. I never got the chance to play part 2 as a child, so this really takes me back. You deserve way more views and subs! P.S do you think its possible we could get remasters of this trilogy? Since we are in the "remake" era now?
Thank you! It's possible that the first game might receive some kind of remaster, next year is the 15th anniversary. I think it's more likely Konami will re-release the DS games first though, since those games aren't as readily available to people (the Lords of Shadow trilogy is still available on Steam and isn't very system demanding).
The port is excellent, with a few bugs, glitches and problems here and there. Plus finally you can play all boom compatible mods. Playing SoD or Going Down on console is awesome. And I love all the whiny b…… who cry for free mouselook. They are too young to understand that this was never part of Doom and was added in the source ports. It’s fun to watch and hear them cry for something that wasn’t there in the first place. They are raging and bitching in their negative reviews that Oldtimers can just laugh about it.
I think whether the show is good or bad remains to be seen. Season one has its problems, but there are some high points, too. And I don't feel like Nocturne is insulting me yet. Season 2 will most likely make or break this series. Though it's tough to live up to season 1 of Castlevania. It was perfect as far as I'm concerned.
didn't know LoS2 wasn't well received it was my first Castlevania and the Lore had me hooked which doesn't usually happen, the only thing that's ridiculous is Dracula can take on Satan but cowers from brutes with cannons
I remember when it came out, it was all the rage. Even John Romero said it kicked ass. It was such a different era for modding in that you had to get really creative in how you created new assets for games.
I did try it but in first map i dont have monsters and in second map i see some pinkys. So the wad is broken somehow and dont work propertly on consoles. Anyway the map design is realy realy bad. To bad that Zdoom wads dont work on consoles. 😢
The new console versions of Doom only support mods that include all the data in the wad file, which isn't the case with Aliens TC, only the level data is on the wad, there's three additional files you drag and drop with the wad when using a source port on PC like GZDoom
@@marcelzocker947 at least its boom compatible so many many wads are working and available. Its more easy for pure doom content, more complicated for TCs. Speaking of that im waiting for someone who can port PSX TC!
It didn't but after the woke tards had their run of it. The actual fans pretty much enjoy it. And the fans who didn't most likely didn't because they couldn't follow along
Considering how Netflix is starting to flag from the industry giant it once was, we really do have a prayer of getting Soma! When things starting going downhill, networks cling to their staple franchises like their life preservers! The show just needs to get approved while they still have the money (and since I don't think their likely to completely fail any time this decade, its probably going to happen sooner rather than later) Stranger things is ending! We are liable to get Soma and then eventually something about the World Wars, because franchises can never die, right?
Finally some good Evil Within content! I have such a soft spot in my heart for these games and i love seeing people talk about them :') too bad we won't be getting a new game/dlc :/
My main gripe, and probably a lot of others is we were expecting a Castlevania in the vein of the GBA and DS trilogies. 3d is amazing, music amazing, enemy and environments amazing..and that's about it honestly. Gone are weapon and armor systems, items, soul and money drops, hidden walls and hubs or NPC quests. No choosing a play style by switching up weapons or souls. I think it's a great game, I don't think it's a great Castlevania game though. I'm fully guilty of not wanting change in this series and understand I'm being negative mainly because of nostalgia and expectations but thats also because the previous games were so good and they couldn't meet the bar set. DMC or GoW are so evident as inspiration when they really didn't need it, just had to stay with what worked. Really bummed we will probably never get another 2d or 2.5d Castlevania again, haven't heard of them doing anything with the IP.
I found and got the game which compelled me to look it up on youtube. Ive played through a bunch of the missions. There is a lot to love but my biggest gripe is that the player could've used a little more handholding. It took me like 8 missions before I realized I could quicksave with F5 and like 10 missions before I realized I can shoot the supply boxes for more ammo My second biggest gripe is the little blue plasma bugs that you must kill on sight before they eviscerate you in seconds. I actually was a big fan of the large and long level designs. Despite their size, they are pretty linear, and I never got lost. On my first and current playthrough I have to say they don't feel linear at all.
Starship Troopers Extermination is getting a full release this October and it's going to have a single player campaign, so here's hoping that's awesome
If you could fight the golgoth guards by breaking their armor with the chaos claws at a certain point I'd think it would help show you why you need to be stealthy at the games beginning. Also, you fight Alucard possessed by Satan but never Satan. You don't even kill the big bad of three story. It needed like a year more development time and I think it could have stood next to Symphony.
I know nobody will actually read this, but maybe: does anyone have any ideay how in the remastered Q2 the CRT-emulation should be finetuned? By default it looks very awkward. There are half dozen console variables that changes the look, but I couldnt find any documentation or guide what values to modify and how?
Not a fan of the games, but when i saw this animated series, i was blown away!!! 🤯 Awesome! Western cartoons are really taking a lot of styles from japanese anime, which is great (since jap-anime is still stuck in the medieval era in terms of how they abuse, mistreat & oversexualize female characters, especially underaged girls). But I'm shocked by the flack, though. Is this *criminal hatred* mainly from *ultra-conservative, **#bigoted** white adult boys* who live in their moms' basements and swear to destroy women because they "cant get any?" 🤔
the stealth sections, disappointing final boss fight, not enough combat in the base game to really take advantage of the combat moves, story moments that make no sense for the path they wanted to take gabriel. like sure he hates the belmonts before but youd think since hes all about bonding with alucard again he would be feeling kinda bad for victors death since that IS his defendant grandson. and the lie the devs gave us saying there was a cool reward for beating the challenges in prince of darkness mode. LITERALLY NOTHING
This series didn't work for me because of the world building. While I was at first fascinated by the setting being during the French Revolution, it was terribly executed. All the Vampires are aristocrats and somehow MOST of the citizens know exactly where all they all are - practically on the otherside of town. These were the years of Maximilien Robespierre who drove mass executions by guillotine against anyone even hinting support for the old rule of law. Those vampire havens would have been raided, overrun, and cinders within weeks. French revolution + mass hysteria vampires would bring = vampire's plot and story line never getting off the ground given the historcal context
I really wanted to love this game. Had very high expectations because I enjoyed LoI and CoD, and hoped it would feel similar. I don’t remember comparing LoS to SotN, although I admit that the latter is one of my all-time favorite games and my first Castlevania. Interestingly, I did finish GoW1, but couldn’t say I enjoyed it. I found it boring and monotonous, so the similarity of LoS with it was very disappointing. I specially hated the boss fights with the button sequences. I think I decided to drop the game right after the Ice Titan fight. I still think LoI is far superior to LoS, and GoW is overrated.
You should have had the ability to turn into bats for the stealth section as well. Question Can anything destroy the giant enemies other than possessing them through stealth? The clock or the Dragon Medallion would probably fit the purpose just fine.
No, the Golgoth Guards are invincible, it's a strange design choice that Gabriel still had to stealth past them near the end of the game after regaining all his powers lol You can use the bats/mist ability in later stealth sections but it's not very viable due to how slow you move, it was really only the Agreus section that was designed with the mist ability in mind
A wonderful vid based on a wonderful game. Those complaining this wasn't a Metroidvania game are the ones that say SOTN is the best in the seties (its not). This is up there with SC4. I was buzzing when i first heard the waterfalls track a dough of the hat to SC4 as you stated. Awesome! 🤙
The fact that Leon and Claire's falling out in Infinite Darkness wasn't addressed in this movie was disappointing. Though then again, the 2 of them had to had settled their differences before RE6 because Claire was the one who had Leon and Chris meet up at a Terrasave convention after RE5
11:20 I spent about 20 minutes on this part blasting rockets at this guy, but no damage was done because you need to shoot him in the eyes with a rifle/shotgun for it to count. Such an odd choice, especially since all of the other large bugs receive damage from the rocket, thrilled that you are able to get around the second to last royal guard and not fight him lol
