SEASON 4 MESS UPS: - Villanelle seeing & speaking to herself as Jesus. What was that? A hallucination because now she’s developed a mental illness? Or was it just some playful comedy for the viewers at home? It wasn’t funny & it was so ridiculous. - Villanelle killing the twelve all at once by herself yet she didn’t have a gun or any struggle. 1 person against 12 people? Not even the world’s best assassin could do that with or without a weapon. So ridiculous (again). - Eve having so much hatred towards Villanelle even though at the end of season 3 they were so close & gentle with each other. Where did this sudden animosity come from? No explanation at all. - The whole ‘Villanelle turning to Christianity’ & completely changing her style & character wasn’t right. There’s a reason we love Villanelle so much, so to take everything away from her character that makes her so loveable in the first place just ruined it for the viewers. If I watch it back there’s LOADS more. But off the top of my head those are the first ones that spring to mind. All in all I am GUTTED at season 4’s ending (& the whole season in general). But I loved season 1, 2 & 3.
I never watched KE until literally two weeks ago, its been a long time since i've been this in love with a series, but that ending... I just couldnt, I've been actually fuming for days with how it ended, I think Netflix in the UK did us all a favor by only having the first 3 Seasons on there, they knew!, I should have stopped after their finale on the bridge. Seeing how many people are severely disappointed by the final season is cathartic to say the least even if im late to the party, what a waste!
I thought vinnelle did the whole Jesus thing so that she would just prove to eve that she was changing.. not that she actually wanted the change idk im conflicted (here after finally, cried, pretending villanelle is still alive w eve)
4 different writers explains why I felt that season one was written better than the final 3, almost combined! Just saying! I was enthralled with the show entirely because of Jodie! A lesson people should've been able to learn about "covid" is how homeless people across the U.S. were placed in areas together, weren't wearing masks, and reportedly, not dying!
I just randomly watched the last 2 seasons of Killing Eve. Yeah the ending was hard but it got such a visceral reaction out of me and I cried like a baby. I would call that a win
Lyrics: (well from what I can hear so it might not all be right) You think you know me You know exactly what I’m talking about I think it’s funny You tried that talking till the truth comes out And then we take when you wanna marry Wait in the morning at the ring That you going where I’m tellin’ you ‘bout You gonna lose what you gonna find Get what I want I ain’t asking for much come on let’s talk about it Don’t act like you’ve got someone better than me You’re tripping on mistake these roses for leaves I got better nothing meant to be my enemies I’m the stars in a Rolls Royce Private jet boy Diamond cut with baguettes Don’t forget boy Telling lies but I’m stupid huh Baby you must be confused huh You think I’m scared to lose ya Shouldn’t let this pretty girl I break the rules
I had to smile a bit when Sandra Oh said about the Paris-apartment-stabbing incident "It really brought us quite close together." Shouldn't it be "them"" (V&E) rather than "us"?
Mrs Neal, I’ll try to put this as respectful as I can. You took a strong, powerful character that has suffered much and needed to be loved and you did what? Killed her? What for? You had 2 years and you united them on the last episode and then killed Villanelle? I’m sorry mrs Neal but you failed. And not only the fans but I truly believe that you failed the characters and the actors as well. Farewell Villanelle. You will be remembered with love.
When I watched the finale for the first time, I was gutted like most fans. But now upon giving it a break and rewatching, it makes perfect sense. Eve & Villanelle couldn't of had a happy ever after, since that had nothing to do with their relationship. It was a very human ending. Obsession, power and the dynamic therein isn't a relationship but a star that burns out quickly. Something the show was very clear about throughout it's run. Their magic was in that dynamic, honestly I would've been mad if we got a fanservice ending with them living happily. Imagine how boring that would have been?
Have a look at the ending (last 20 pages or so) of the third book (Die for Me) of Luke Jennings' Villanelle trilogy. Very different ending, and it is neither shallow nor boring.
The writers screwed up the last season worse than GoT. Plus we had the time-honoured trope of KILL THE GAYS! I hope Phoebe Waller Bridge was disgusted that the strong start to the series with her brilliant writing was ultimately destroyed by talentless hacks.
I don't know how shows are made so I don't get how they can drop off this drastically. At a certain point you'd think the actors could push back and force rewrites. Or producers would say you can kill our lead.We might want to do a movie or another season at some point
