I think the first problem is that the writers completely ignored the season 3 ending on the bridge. I mean Villanelles search for a better side of herself makes sense, but Eve just being distant after she turned around on that bridge? The plot with the twelve, which was there since season 1, was a joke and left more questions than it answered them. The only thing that people wanted (Villaneve scenes and more of that Jodie - Sandra - chemistry) didn't really happen, which confuses me bc Jodie said she enjoyed very much acting with Sandra for the whole last week. Just ONE episode of them together was not enough. My favourite TV series, castle, shows you that the main characters can be together for many seasons and it still remains a good and funny show. And then, killing off one of the characters and not both is cruel, but not even letting them hold hands was horrible and left me empty. In fact, I'm still pissed about that. The ending sucks out all of your energy and belief that it's worthwhile to fight for something good. Jodie said, she loved the idea of V saving E, which really is a good thought, but I thought that V was the intended target from the start, so she didn't have to protect anyone but herself. And also I'm furious how Carolyn was dragged through the mud in this very last scene after she connected with V in episode 4x04.. What hurts the most is that everything, except for the BAD writing, was really good. The acting was perfect, the music, the decoration and clothes were superb. Sorry for my bad english. Take it easy guys.
The strange thing is that Laura Neal wrote the S3 season finale, from what I read. IDK if this is true but if it is, why would she write such a brilliant & moving episode then when lead writer for S4 chuck it all in the trash to go in a different, convoluted direction??
I agree with all of this. Also I didn’t get the sense in the last scene that V was saving E. I instead felt I was watching two people be senselessly slaughtered.
I don't think I've been more disappointed in a final then this one but to be honest I only watched this final series because of jodie comers brilliant acting.
@@gorooooh I always loved it when these two brilliant actresses came together but this last season I thought poor writing and poor plot lines and those final 2 minutes just killed the show.
Agree entirely, but wished I’d never watched the final episode and it well deserved the 2.9 rating on IMDB compared to the sold 8+ ratings of the first three series. Sure Villanelle was a complex flawed character made this way as was Jason Borne but for her deeds she didn’t deserve death in such a cliche no ambiguity manner any more than anyone else.
With the ending I understood that Carolyn was indeed the head all this time. Remember that scene when she and Eve meet at the MI6 pub? Carolyn says something like "finally the head of the twelve in one room" What if she was talking about herself but we didn't notice at first?? what I'm really mad about is the fact that we never got to know who the rest of the twelve were, we barely saw their faces...
Literally wasted an entire season of V and E being apart for this reason and we get a shit ending with no explanation or understanding. It was suuuuuccchh a waste of time😮💨
The finale was bad but Kim Bodnia saying Villanelle gave Konstantin happiness, fun, and the belief that he could survive everything makes me want to cry again🥲
lol whatever the crap this ending was supposed to be, being good is definitely not one of them. 1. You're telling me 4 seasons of this mysterious organization called 12 is resolved in the last 2 minutes of the movie????? 2. I loved Pam, but literally what was her purpose in the show????? 3. The two main characters barely even had a scene together, wth? 4. Did we somehow lost an entire season between s3 and s4? Cuz the start of the s4 definitely didn't make sense to any of the sane minded. 5. I think Laura is getting golden raspberry for the shitiest writing evaaaaaa. Congrats!!!!! You really deserved it.
What made the writers think we cared this much about Carolyn and her story....lol Her storyline was misplaced this season. But hey thanks for the 10 minutes of dialogue between Eve and V this season.
Season 4 only allowed us to enjoy the performances of Jodie, Camille, Sandra, Fiona and Kim. They really are excellent actors. The rest of the series, it was just crap. Laura Neal destroyed the best series in history.
It’s funny they wasted so much precious time on the twelve and yet we still know nothing. Such bad writing I can’t even. And this isn’t even nearly the worst thing about season 4.
Excuse me, just watched about 1min and a half, LN showed up and I'm furious agiain. She explained that the viewers maybe want to see the paternal side of K through PAM????!!!!!!! I JUST CAN't STAND IT that she really was not knowing her assignment to finish this series. We already saw that complicated but warmhearted father-daughter relationship through K and V relationship. WHO CARES ABOUT PAM??? LN just set her up for K's ultimate death. That's it!!!!!
what I observed about this show's individuals; while they are doing any interview on and off backstage of the killing eve, they really very good at reflecting their feelings and thoughts. So pure and understandable. No trash words. Everything means something. Beautiful portrayals I like it! Empathy is on the top while they are talking, if you really love this show!!!
I completely agree season four was a huge disappointment and the ending made everyone feel cheated, but I still think it's the best television show I've ever seen. After thinking it out it's an ending that does make some sense, but it was just too fast without detail. I wish it would have ended like the book so they could have created more shows in the future. I'm about to finish the first book, which has a happy ending, and highly recommend it.

All these talented people and their hard work is ruined by Sid Gentle and Laura Neal. I hope no one hires Sid Gentle or Laura Neal to work on a show ever again.
This show needed another season to give us an actual, real relationship after all the teasing of prior seasons. We could easily have done with more Fiona Shaw too, and Kim Bodina... really people... how could you just let this great story and these great characters go in this horrendous way?? Sandra…was the most uninteresting character by far ! Sandra also sucked , and was definitely the wrongly casted for this character . In layman’s terms, she sucked !
