It's a beautiful scene in so many means. Think about it, Sarah Connor makes peace with a machine that is the same make and model as the one that killed Kyle. The same guy saved her life, she fell in love with and is the father to their child. John Connor, the kid whose entire existence was meant to be wiped out by Skynet throws the chip of the terminator that tried to stop his birth, into the melt pot. And the most obvious part that shows a change of perspective for Sarah Connor for the future of mankind. That a machine can learn to feel affection beyond their programming. That if something capable of such undeniable atrocities can learn to be good/affectionate, maybe there is hope for humans to do the same. If only the series had ended here. Rarely is there a situation where the sequel to the original is so good that it can effectively be the end to a series. Yet here we are.....
One of the best movies ever. Captured the heart of the source material so well and was a great adventure movie besides. So well explained. I never lost immersion.
Cool shot when they get off the chopper. It makes them look like the contestants of different nationalities that are about to participate in the tournament.
Когда смотришь, как Вертер( актер) смотрит в камеру, улыбаясь, под эту музыку, которая чистая ностальгия, хоть, я и не родился в СССР, но советские фильмы смотрел многие. Я тогда, и сейчас смотрю, и думаю, что с таким вщглядом, мы модем смотреть из прошлого на нас нынешних, или умершие друзья/ знакомые, смотрят на нас, а двери закрываются, их неостановить. Лишь память.
I was born in 1988. When I went to my Dads. He always let me watch this movie. He saw how much I was in love with it. I was 2 years old when I started watching this movie religiously. My Dad didn’t have the heart to take the movie away from me. Ending scene always made me cry because I loved what I used to say “terminator man” died. But as an adult I see just how deep this carries in my heart. T-800 sacrificed itself to ensure that the future of machines didn’t come about. And fact he understood why people cry and that he cannot cry too with John. It’s like it just melts me. And to then see his thumbs up at the end. Basically saying in translation “everything will be ok John”. If I can remember when I’m closer to death I’ll teach my grown children the thumbs up thing showcasing all will be ok. Do not be sad 😔 of me going away.
