Just wanted to say a big thank you for your video and information. My shower is probably 20 years old and in all fairness I was going to buy a new one. Watched your video and thought for £50 it’s worth a punt to see if it fixes the problem. To your credit it has done the job, struggled a little bit getting the new solenoid valve back in place as it just did not want to go in but with a bit of perseverance it did.So again many thanks I’ll buy you a pint if I ever see you in a pub😊
Worked me mate literllay woke up this morning to a slow flashing blue light was about to get british gas out for £60 even though i pay a monthly home cover fee
Well done video, but I have a teaser for you. when I switch on my Mira Thermostatic power shower it starts up and runs great BUT after about 5 mins the water stops flowing. not hot or cold but both. I can switch it off and go and leave it for a few mins, when I try it again it start up as normal. Then it reverts back to to my fault. I have checked the solenoid(2) one reads 4.0 ohms and the other spare reads 3.8 ohms. It really has me beat. I have also tried to remove any possible air locks. Any ideas as regards a solution I would be most grateful.
i got a mira advanced flex extra that overheats and trips my fuse box when i turn it on. i cant havnt had a shower in 2 days, please give me some tips to fix this problem
That's mate, you've saved us a lot of money we've had a few power issues today with the weather so maybe down to that the central heating stopped working, I watched your video and did what you said and it worked
I got a smart meter so had to rest the smart meter as well as the boiler as the gas run out. anyone with the same problem top up credit if needed then reset smart meter then reset boiler
Why are you all paying BG to service your boilers, if all of you say they are not doing a proper job. Rather than line BG pockets why not find a good local gas engineer and not a plumber (two different trades) to service your boilers. Then you will be paying someone who actually needs the money, and will look after your systems in a trustworthy way. All you homeowners out there, please DO NOT REMOVE THE BOILER COVER AND TINKER AROUND UNLESS YOU ARE QUALIFIED.
Thank you so much! It has worked (so far). I was panicking as I am a private tenant and it's between Christmas and New Year. One happy warm family now. ☺
Thank you. My boiler has been on the blink since yesterday morning and this seems to have got it back up and running. My place has gotten down to 10 degrees and everything has just now come back on!!!
Thanks a lot for the video it was really helpful for this kind of situation and very cold weather, we were panicking and called here and there but get no help you are really a lifesaver… god bless you
Thank you! Detailing a clients GLA right now and couldn’t for the life of me figure it out lol. The majority of these type of dividers just pop out but I didn’t want to risk snapping any plastic. Cheers!
Last two times I called out BG engineer under monthly breakdown homecare plan they made NO ATTEMPT TO LOOK AT THE BOILER OR INVESTIGATE and just spent half hour SELLING ME A £900 POWER FLUSH. Iam rapidly reaching same conclusion as this chap.
