That layer is set to Luminosity with a fill of 25%. Set the blend mode back to Normal and bring the fill up to 100% then you can change the color of the text.
Your sports effects template - in the instruction sheet it says to clip the layer to step 3 so that you have luminosity applied, but you don't have that step in your tutorial videos. I hope you'll update.
Yes! It's literally 1 click for me 99% of the time. Plus, I love the plugin for Photoshop so I never have to leave the program to get a perfect cutout.
If you want an image dropped behind foreground elements, then you need an area in the template to put the photo. However, we do have many backdrop sets that are just jpeg files to put behind images if that is what you are asking. ashedesign.com/collections/digital-backdrops?sort_by=created-descending
Thank you for your quick reply. I have a few digital backdrops but you have to put them in where the cut image would always be in front. I want the subject ( cut image to be dropped behind to create some foreground. @@AsheDesign
I looked at so many videos trying to do this , to no avail . I stumbled upon yours & it was like a Eureka moment! Short & sweet, unlike other videos where they leave you hanging to find out it had nothing to do with what you were looking for. You really helped me, especially being a small business owner & beginning with a program like Photoshop. Thank you so much, I have subscribed. :)
yes but when I change thinks to be 19x13 and go to print it doesnt print right it has a boarder around it instead of filling the page so I am sure I am not getting something correct @@AsheDesign
Are you trying to resize a vertical 16x20 file into a horizontal 19x13 file? If so, you'll want to be sure you are starting with the layered Photoshop file and sizing the longest side first. @@barbcaudill9558
You will need to install Photoshop for your iPad, which is not quite the same as the full version of Photoshop, so you may be limited to what you can edit on it. helpx.adobe.com/phot.../system-requirements-ios.html

I'm using one of your sports composites.....I used the background remover and dropped my photo onto the composite image......how do I adjust the exposure on just my image to match the composite image? I tried adding a layer mask to my image but it adjusts everything........thanks
That's old alright! At least 20 years old. I wouldn't expect our tutorials to look anything like your version. While you can still follow along, I would expect some features are not available to you in such an old version. So, our best advice is to upgrade!
Yes, you can definitely remove backgrounds in Photoshop. However, after doing this for years, Remove.bg is the best we've found. So good, we use it for all of our extractions now.
