Jared Henderson is a drummer based out of Colorado Springs CO. Jared was fortunate to grow up in the rich history of New Life Church and the Desperation movement. Years of playing live and recording with Desperation Band and New Life Worship have developed a passion for excellence and given Jared experience touring the world and recording live/studio projects.
With a reputation for consistency, hard work, and reliability, Jared has also toured and/or recorded with Michael Rossback, Paul Baloche, Kari Jobe, Cory Asbury, Andrew Ripp, Michael Farren, Jared Anderson, Meredith Andrews, Alissa Turner, Gateway, All About Worship Collective, and Travis Ryan as well many other independent artists.
Tune by ear and save money. If you need extra toy's It's cool .But learn first by ear and sound and feel. We never had a drummer Dial or a tune Bot. The 1975 and now you have a automatic tuner for a guitar players and hit the string with this thing on the tuner and it turns the machine to its key note😊

Just wanted to say, your tuning on your drums is awesome! I've tried using Elevation Worship settings and another one and the drums just sound terrible for what we have. Tuning the top and bottom with different Hz has made our toms sound incredible!
Good video. Love that low tuned Indie rock sound. 350khz on the bottom head and 170 on the top... Is it safe to say the top head is basically an octave lower?

Great tutorial. I think it’s important to note that this kind of tuning really depends on the playing scenario. While I love the sound, I hate the feel at this tuning. If it’s a live gig with no mics this is incredible. If you have a good sound engineer you can get that fat sound at higher batter frequencies. I’ve had a very similar sound at 245hz with the right eq and compression.
Totally agree with tuning for the scenario, Enginner, type of music, and room:) I’ve had guys who love this tuning and others who don’t. i’ve actually been living at 400 Hz on Reso and 225 to 235 Hz on batter recently and loving it. Nothing better than a great engineer 🙏

Hi Jared! I was here watching the new videos you posted! I haven't used the app yet, I'm tuning the boxes and tones by ear. I see that my biggest problem is with the quality of the skins we use here!
I found your tuning videos and just downloaded a free tuner app on my phone and used the frequencies from the tunebot website. Wow what a difference. My kit sounds so much better than just tuning by ear. Never would have tried tuning by frequencies if I didn’t find your videos and I don’t think I will ever go back now. Thank you!
