How is Beta compared with GasGas carbed and Rieju? I have early model of GasGas and Beta, but Beta is waaay smooth, higher torque in low rpm and better for hard enduro...
The 2019 GasGas with carb is a great bike. Only downside is its shitty starter system. Quality wise it is way better than the Beta who has horrible electrics and super brittle plastic parts. The Beta handles easier, the GG is more stable. Both engines have identical power and grunt so hard to say which one is stronger.
@@Steveman61 03 GG compared with 2023 Beta, is night and day difference, especially in how easy is to work on the bike, I can clearly see the optimisations. But guess the Rieju is similar now... GG was super reliable however, the engine is bulletproof...
LOL here we are in 24 and you just saved me some heartburn with my 300 Pro TBI LOL. Thanks bro, it's like the Jelly of the month club, the gift that keep on giving.
Although it sounds horrible it is pretty normal. It is a combination of wafer thin engine covers and the for 2017 new design of the gears inside the engine. Mine did it for 140 hours and I never had a problem. The new owner sold it with a total of 250 hours and had no problems either,
They are both very good bikes. Equally strong, the Beta is more aggressive and is steering quicker, the GasGas is easier to ride in the technical stuff due to its very torquey and less aggressive engine. Both have very good suspension from KYB, the rear shock on the gasGas is better in my opinion. I can grab the Gasgas better with my legs. Overall both are great bikes, I can really not say which one is better. If I had decide in one second I think I'd keep the GasGas.
Thanks mate, yes if I hold the button just short it gets less but doesn't go away entirely. Friends say they also have it. Noise just made me nervous because I thought the starter gears or something gets damaged.
@@Steveman61 I am pretty sure its not problem, to me it sounds like the startermotor spinning freely. But if you want to make sure, get the starter out an check how it engages and if the spinning motor makes the exact same noise.
Update: starter still works two years later. Didn't ride as much due to Covid restrictions but so far I am really happy with this starter and I have an OEM one in my spare parts box anyway. The original starter the bike came with did not last long and just internally burned down.
So i just picked up a 2022 Husqvarna TE 250 TPI on 5-5-2022 and let me tell you it's making some noise. What kinda noise .. sounds like a rod bearing going bad . This can't be normal people. Ok so it' my 1st TPI ever but that noise is very concerning .
I only can say that the noise in the video is standard and is no reason for worries. Concerning your noise I have no clue but keep my fingers crossed the dealer will sort it out for you. Good luck!
Phew! Thanks for making this video. I've just picked up a TE300 (bought unseen out of state) and thought I'd bought a lemon. I just finished putting in a new top-end (I haven't even taken it for a ride yet!) Agree it seems to be coming from the counterbalance shaft. I wonder if it is a bit of gear lash on that shaft.
i just bought a 2021 tpi..... and i have this noise.... Is YOURS OK ?? 2 yewars later? ... I replaced the top end too... thinking it was a bad wrist pin... NOPE... my noise is coming from the counter balance shaft area...
My friend have the same bike and she do the same noise but after a complete top end renovation something happend on the bottom engine. The balancer gear break, and dammage the primary gear and the valve system gear to. I don't no how this happend, but when y check the left side engine ( ignition), the balancer hit the rotor ignition at every rotations. Maybe it's the reason i don't now.
Don't worry, in the meantime we all know it's normal and most if not all of them sound like this. Mine lasted about 150 hours without problems, then I sold it. From what i have heard it is still going strong with now over 280 hours...
So this is normal? What's the actual reason? Just picked up a 2020 husqvarna te300i and since the first start it's made this noise! I'm someone who worries alot!
Really understand you but it is no reason to worry. I was so scared that I brought the bike right back to the dealer. He took two other brand new bikes, a 250 and a 300 and they both were as noisy as mine. It has several reasons. The engine covers are wafer thin hence keep no noise inside. The newer bikes have -so they said- one or two gears less and the clutch is due to its construction making a lot of noise. I rode the bike for 150 hours and the noise remained the same and the new owner also says all is good after over 300 hours :-)
Hey Phil @phil.. it's such a head cooker I bought a 2021 te300i too. It's done 60 hours and still makes those noises... I had the head off cylinder looks fine.. it's the worst if you forget the noise after a week. It just feels like it will blow but it doesn't
@@motoman1010 unfortunately I had to sell mine not long after....but after lots of research it does appear to be fine...its basically they use such thin clutch baskets and casing so thats all it is 👍
I just bought the xcw300 2018 started it for first time today and was like wtf is that noise lol quickly wrote a guy on Instagram and he said seems to sound normal I sent him a video. Then I googled it and this video popped up I live in Canada and am glad to know it’s normal cause I have never heard a clicking noise coming from the clutch before 😬
just got a 2019 ktm 300 xc and it started sounding like this at 3.4 hours, I'm just hoping your bike is still going strong with no problems from this noise?
Dont't worry. It has 104 hours now and worked flawless so far. I had the impression that the noise got even a bit louder over time but it seems to be pretty normal. In the meantime I have met so many other riders and they all report the engine to be noisy. KTM said its due to less gears giving the clutch the possibility to tumble a bit. Also the wafer thin engine covers dont damp much noise.
steve da man I’m feeling much better reading your information. I have a 2017 300XC with 54 hours on it. I just noticed the noise and started to get concerned. My noise seems to change when I pull in the clutch which would make sense from your description of the cause. I still don’t like it, lol. I’m wondering if I should put a Recluse clutch in to quiet it down? What’s your thoughts? I appreciate your feedback.
Mine has now 85 hours and still sounds like that. I had both cases off, the left to check the fly wheel and the right to check the clutch. Also the clutch and basket were off at about 65 hrs. All normal, bike runs fine. Bought an 2018 TPI 250 this year and it sounds exactly the same.
U guys gota b some fucked up if u think thats normal! Mine started making that noise so i tore off the right outside case and wiggled the crank up and dwn! That noise is metal on metal! NOT NORMAL!!!!
