Chainsaw Carvings and projects by The Carver Kings. Chainsaw Carving is a sculpting art in which sculptors, referred to as chainsaw artists, carve wood with chainsaws, dremels and many other tools. The term carving refers to the act of cutting wood, to create art. There are many types of chainsaws and tools and many suitable woods to carve including: oak, elm, cedar, pine, maple, walnut, tamarack. Almost all hard woods and soft woods are good to carve as long as they are solid.
The Carver Kings Travel all across North America doing shows and events and are based out of Ontario, Canada. They appeared on two TV shows, HGTV "Carver Kings" and OLN's "Saw Dogs". You can find their most current wood sculpting projects here and the playground carving work they do for the USA.
I've been on a chainsaw carving kick lately, watching too many videos and this is by far the best bear I've seen done. The detail on the fur is amazing.
Hey, great video, awesome house eh!! Wow Retired as a pipefitter plumber & as many know a tradesman generally cross trains dabbling in all the trades: I’ve got a hint that might really help. Reach in your gang box and grab that 24V Dewalt chipping hammer rotary drill, (take off the silica vacuum) and slide a chisel into the gizmotron on the end and twist the thingamajig over to chipping & use that versus a hammer to strip the bark. That’s how I do it on most trees & it’s quite effortless.
I notice my factory Echo 2511 bar doesn't have Oil holes. I think it oils throw the adjusting screw slot. I bought a cheap Archer carving bar of Ebay and I don't thing the adjustments slot is connected to the chain rail. Do you think I could drill a tinny hole in the rail to connect the two?
yeah you could do that. You can clean and dry the bar real good and then grease the oiler and put the bar on. This will leave an imprint on the bar showing the location of the oiler on the bar. Drill a 1/8 hole in the middle.
Awesome job!! I especially want to compliment you on the Native American face it is the best that I have seen carved!!!!🙌🙌👏👏🫶🫶the theme of them on the turtle is perfect!! Great job!!
