05 450x pilot jet ,also timing chain adjuster factory goes out ,then backing off throttel back lash in timing chain causes problems with the exhost valves ,on this vintage always check the valve clearance ,the exhostt is always the one most out in the set.
V4 in person. Mic doesn’t pic up the vibrations that you get standing next to a v4. Deep grumble. Inlines are very loud but the whining scream is annoying AF to me. 🤷♂️
V twins sound horrible. Like two marbles in two rusty cans trying to stop fidgeting. Ducatis sound cheap and nasty with the dry clutch and basket rattling around by your ankles. Especially in the cold. Inline 4's just sound creamy and class. Like 4 scantily clad Chinese ladies wrestling in a vat of golden syrup like their social credit score depends on it. Yummy. You can keep the two Karrens and their dried up baskets lol, I'm heading for the inline lake of mystery and joy.
Das ts so Slow it loose against zx6, r6 and against z900 125 ps…. It has so Bad accerlation for a 900cc supersport… it’s cool looking, nice Electric but Power is shit
I have a Honda Hornet and 04 and a new one and two cylinders not doing it for me the inline for sounds the best has the best power still gets good gas mileage with two extra cylinders that you can feel when you go into the gears just saying
The 4 cylinder totally wins out for me however, 3 cylinder bike engines produce my favorite sound of all time!!👍👍 And 4s, with a flat plane crank, coming in at a fairly close second. Cross plane 4s though, well, you can keep those; they sound crappy to me, much like a V4 sound.
It’s a no contest. Dunno what all the vtwin fanboys go on about. The inline 4 is just such a perfect pitch!! Try a cross plane for size as well. That’ll change the v twin boys minds lol
This isn't rich fueling, this is a quickshifter setup. It cuts the spark but not the fuel. A by product is afterburn. If it isn't running a quick shift I'd look at the mapping/fueling as you may end up nipping a piston ring due to excessive fuel in cylinders.
I owned both inlines and v4, worked in a bike shop, tested a lot of bikes. It's matter of taste. I prefer V4 and yamas cp4, but love the high revs scream of inline4 when chasing the top speed
