Always been a bike lover...m from Sikkim we never see super bikes here.. inline four is my dream.. especially love those 600s . Great effort to restore .. salute to your hard work
Sweet video man! i'm getting a 2005 GSXr600 to rebuild over the winter this year and this video gave me a great taste of the challenge that lies ahead.
Excellent job, I’ve just don’t the same thing on the same model bike and year. I did not strip it down as much as you did, but it works and looks like it hasn’t crashed any more :).. good job
I wish I had your patience & a garage, my rear brakes locked up & rolled mine a few years ago, took it to shop & fixed what it needed, but I'd love to do a thorough going over & replace everything that is not perfect!
Great Job Man, I like what you did, AWESOME,I did many rebuilds, Maybe I should publish them too on RU-vid to share with people the experience... Good luck with the other projects, Cheers from MOROCCO
you have talent man great job. my dad has a 1986 750 gsxr in our storage that he barely rode when he was young. Im gonna try to rebuild it into a cafe racer or street fighter. How much was it to get yours back on the road?? Mine hasn't idled in more than 8 years :(
great job doing that rebuild ! i really enjoyed the video , you are on top of every detail ! Can u tell how much u payed for it and how much spent on it to leave it finished ?
Great job on the rebuild. Important note every 06 O7 GSXR 600 and 750 owner must relocate the rectifier. The stock location just above the headers and behind the radiator subjects the rectifier to an excessive amount of heat which causes it to prematurely fail repeatedly burning out the stator possibly the battery the ECU instrument cluster. I noticed you mounted yours back in the stock location on the horn bracket. This will undoubtedly cause an issue Flatlandinnovations.com has a direct bolt-on application no modifications needed it puts the rectifier in front of the radiator where you would commonly find an oil cooler once you have relocated the rectifier the problem will be resolved. Check out the video on RU-vid flatland Innovations rectifier relocation bracket
+Edward Cuevas I have no idea if this is the best way, but I do it on al my bikes with good results 1) Washed with hot water 2) Clean with WD40 3) Soaked in degreaser for about 15 mins 4) Wash with hot water and soap 5) T CUT 6) Polish
amazing work!!! How good you are A tubite question that make some adjustment to the acceleration body ...? I think that my bike is not correct the mixture of gasoline and air. Greetings from mexicali baja california mexico
Need help,m a noob at this i own a 2004 gsxr 600,fell on it recently and th clutch cover got damaged pretty bad on top of the it looks like ama have to change the whole thing is that possible what would be the best option?
Great video, My gixxer was stolen and got wrecked during a police chase, almost the same damages as yours maybe more. I think I'm going to rebuild mine. did you use any catalog? or is there anything I can get online?
I take it that you do this for fun and just for the simple fact that you own an M3 I take it you could buy a brand new bike if you really wanted to ... I myself have an 06 GXSR 750 which needs some work ... as in tightening the chain, filling up the tires, changing the oil, getting new fairings for it and the oem mirrors and that's it ... I thought that was all a lot of work until I saw all this ... sorry for the long post but I plan on going to MMI when I get out of the military and restoring motorcycles would be a pretty cool hobby that could get me some extra money ... if you don't mind me asking what kind of profits do you make from doing this? or is it purely recreational
+Michael Francisco awesome bike :) Nice mate, yeah all that stuff is straight forward. Check youtube for some how to's! Some I make good money on, but it is just for fun!
rebuilding a 07 gsxr 600 as well that was in similar condition but upon start up the fuel pump won't prime or pressurize when i flip the kill switch on.. Any thoughts? thank you
Im on the same process. Fairing $349. Front light $60. Brake pads $ 25. Front tire $100. Back turn lights $26. Other parts he change i Think $300 more.
