It’s horrible how producers take advantage of new young artists. I remember how Queen was almost in a similar situation but they took control of the contract because they were too educated. If they continue to make concerts, like Queen does, they will their own money.

She was beautiful before the surgery. Theoretically, she could have just switched to an organic diet, and maintain a regular exercise routine. Her "enhancements" have had the opposite effect that was intended.
Thanks for the interesting documentary. Well done! Very sad and devastating how young Lisa died. First I heard of her doing the song with Mel C "Never be the same again".
Some facts added 😊 1. During the time on Elektra Records, Mathew Knowles allegedly missused the money given for the recording on the album for his addiction. Hence why he paid less expensive producers. After the label executives heard the songs, they fired them immediately. After the struggles and Tina Knowles moving her kids, Mathew called Columbia Records to fix his "mistakes". After that, Destiny's Child was signed in 1997, however, the money for the project were managed by Dwayne Higgins as Columbia was scared that Mathew will missuse these funds as well. 2. "No No No (Part II.)" peaked at #3 on Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Billboard R&B Chart. "Bills Bills Bills" is their first mainstream success internationally peaking at #1 on Billboard hot 100. Their first album "Destiny's Child" actually underperformed, hence why the management rebuilt the sound and the direction for the second album from mature mellow neo soul sound R&B to more pop R&B style that was trending at the time. 3. The split was shady mostly because of Mathew's bussiness. LeToya & LaTavia contacted Mathew through their lawyer that they want 2 separate managers for the group and until there will be the second found, the lawyer is their manager. They could legally do that because as they were no longer minors, the deal was not valid and they could renegotiate. Mathew told the lawyer that they will stop the concerts and everything until everything will be negotiated. So, LeToya and LaTavia waited in Houston, however, Mathew pushed Kelly and Beyoncé to perform without them. As they did enough concerts, he came to Sony and Columbia stating LeToya and LaTavia did not fullfill their obligations, so they were fired behind their back. That's how he replaced them for Farrah and Michelle. 4. Farrah Situation: Girls called her after she left from the airport saying if she's coming to Australia. It was not possible as she was miles away from the airport, so it was simply a tactic move to make it appear as if they cared. They aired that she missed promotional appearences, however, by that time Farrah was already gone because she was conctantly bullied, so DC management used the clips from the studio when they were "recording" "jumpin' jumpin' remix" as if they fired her on that day, meanwhile it was just time when she had to rush home because of family matters...that's why she was asking about her luggage - it will be stupid to move for one day and then leave for tour, because by the time the luggage arrives, she will be on tour somewhere else. All shady and faked on the final video to discredit others in profit of Destiny's Child basically 5. Wendy knew Beyoncé was ready to go solo - the group was built for Beyoncé to go solo after it...however, the backlash was so big after the replacement that the solo career waited. Farrah & Michelle were supposed to only fullfill obligations for the 2ns album as Columbia deal was 2 albums deal....Beyoncé already recorded a few songs, however as the backlash grew so they decided to continue with the group and renegotiated the deal to make another album. That's how "Survivor" was made. Farrah's vocals are still present on "Idependent Women (Part I.)", "Dot", "Dance With Me" and more songs. 6. According to Kandi Burrus (Xscape, she wrote many of Destiny's Child's hits on their 2nd album), Beyoncé rerecorded and reproduced most of her album material as "Work It Out" flopped so she had to switch the direction. As Kelly became successful with "Dilema", management pushed her to rush her 1st solo album and gave Beyoncé time to really take time for her solo album.
