This absolutely is not working on my 22’ Howard Offshore. I have called tech support and run the setup at least a dozen times. After 10 seconds on plane it fully retracts the tabs. I had high hopes but it simply doesn’t work on my boat.
You need to update this video with present electric bolt actuators that have wires molded into the center of the top mount. You do not show how to install with wires in the way.
It's crazy, I just pulled the old Bennett trim tab system pictured at 0:14 off my 50 year old boat. Installed a new bolt system and some of the original mounting holes on the tabs lined right up. The quality of Bennett parts is definitely something you notice when working with them!
hi Doug, i recently upgrade my Bennett system from ATC3000 to Auto Prim Pro, and unfortunately mi port button moves my port tab and my starboard moves my starboard tab, what can be wrong during installation ?
Wait - you say to drill the bottom plate screw hole "So that the number 10 screw does not bottom out". To me, that says to drill the hole deeper than the screw so that the screw "does not bottom out". But at the same time you are showing that the screw is clearly 1/2" longer than how you have your bit set up. Which is it??
What size would work for a crestliner 1750 superhawk? Actual length is 17' 9" and boat weight is only 2000lbs at it is an Aluminum deep V. Motor is a Merc 150 4 stroke OB. If 90lbs is too much force and it causes too much of a bow down attitude, is there an option to reduce the downforce?
I have a Tige ASR wake board boat and it has a single trim tab in the middle that is powered by a single solenoid, single line HPU. I need a replacement unit but you guys don't seem to show one available. The part number I have come up with is a V351V but it doesn't come up on your web site. What do I need?
Good evening, so I have new pump and when I apply power to the solenoids they are decent, but not loud clicks. The power to the yellow(reverse is strong) but the power to the blue(forward)is very weak. Fluid is full and have full battery and connections. Did I get a bad pump? Also, the test of sending power to one connector at a time isn’t affected by the trim tab lines correct? It’s in the boat not on a work bench. But the plug is disconnected

can you override the auto trim if necessary? sometimes when i go down shallow rivers, i prefer to keep keep my tabs down to keep my back end up as high as possible, not at the most fuel efficient position.
Yes! Simply touching any manual control buttons shuts off the auto mode until re-engaged. It's very similar to tapping your brakes on cruise control in a car.

I wanted to add a comment on tapping your existing wiring. My boat is a 2017 Stingray 198LS which is similar to Larson and may have the same color wires to other smaller boats. Under my helm is a removable cover with a bank of relays with labels. I also have a set of dashboard switches from the factory. You are going to need a selection of crimp end terminals, crimper, and a wire stripper. If you wire this up as specified, you will need either a battery on/off switch to cut main power or a separate on/off toggle switch. Otherwise, both the ATP control and the controller will stay lit all the time. I wound up running both orange wires off of the "trim tab" toggle switch on my dashboard (optional switch wasn't connected to anything from the factory). There was an open spade on the bottom rear of the rocker switch. I used a blade spitter and some heat shrink to connect both orange at this location. I chose to install an inline 20amp fuse on the orange to the controller fearing what might happen if the actuators short underwater. If you don't have this switch, you will want to have a battery cutoff switch or some other switch to prevent the controller from running all the time. Note that you could also use T-taps to splice into existing wiring, but the piggy back blade splitters are nice because they leave the wiring untouched and are easily reversible. Main power at the helm should be a large gauge red wire. For the black ground, I used a piggy back blade splitter on the back of the black side of the cigarette lighter on the dash as I didn't have a bus bar at the helm. If you see a bar with a bunch of bonded black wires, that would be preferable (attach with a crimped ring terminal or similar). I could have also used a t-tap to any of the larger black gauge wires under the helm. In order for the auto retract feature to work when you shut off the engine (before trailering), the purple wire coming off the ATP control must be connected to switched power. Look at the back your gauges to see what color power cable was used. The gauges usually are switched with the key ignition. On my boat the color of the power to the gauges was also purple, same as the ATP wire. I had an empty gauge spot and a pair of unused wires that I joined using a fully protected male/female spade terminal.

How to calibrate for the dual helm diplay? I changed my EIC relay and wire harness EIC after i installed the both controller upper led flashing i press both sun and moon doesn't work 😟 please help
When I trim up on my throttle I can hear an actuator or or whatever acting, but my lower unit doesn't trim up. I have to trim up by using my secondary trim switch at the stern and it works fine. Any thoughts?
Well that is some proper doggy wiring, you should be asjamhed of that level of workmanship, then there is the nylon pipes cut with blunt pliers which had to be reshaped to fit into the brass fittings, just use a sharp knife or a proper pipe cutter, both cheap tools.
