I have PA and nearly died from it before being diagnosed when I was in ICU. My hemoglobin levels were 4.5 when I was hospitalized. I have severe nerve damage in my feet and legs which are mostly numb. I did have numbness in my hands and lips, but the feeling came back in those areas after receiving numerous transfusions and B-12 injections. I still suffer from gastritis, colitis and have bouts of tachycardia. I was also told that I am 3 x more likely to have stomach cancer due to the condition. Most of the Drs that I’ve seen (outside of the hematologist) know very little about this condition. I do have a question - I still have a lot of pain in my legs, Could PA be responsible for the continuing pain?
Hey, enjoyed the video🙌! I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you create a better distribution by working on post-production like better storytelling through Edits, Keywords, think catchy intros and outros, or even some engaging short clips! Would love to chat if you're interested and keep creating good content:)
I been feeling numbness on my little toe with weak ankle flexion, i got my mri from my lumbar spine and this was the result: IMPRESSION: 1. Small posterior disc protrusion L5-S1 with mass effect upon the right greater than left S1 nerve root and right greater than left lateral recess narrowing and foraminal narrowing. 2. Mild degenerative disc disease and diffuse facet joint degeneration is otherwise appreciated throughout the lumbar spine.
I'm confused about the interaction between the intervertebral disc (IVD) and the facet joints. What is the "main" joint of a motion segment if I try to think of a simplified model with a fixed center of rotation? Can I think of a motion segment like a seesaw that has a fixed joint/center of rotation in the facet joints, or is the center of rotation located somewhere in the middle of the disc, with the arc size increasing in the dorsal direction during rotation?
My left leg used to hurt in the middle of my thigh, I took nerve 911 pills that I ordered in the mail the pain went away, but if I ride or sit on very hard chairs I get stiff or go numb, I am 300lbs.but on a diet and I had four lung nodes but gone now and I'm diabetic and have sleep apnea, when my leg go numb it takes about five to eight sec. to get filling back but I have to stand up and move around holding on to something because leg is totally numb, it just started happening but one month ago, but leg is better the more I walk, some times under my right knee hurts when I walk now not my left leg anymore, but the left leg and foot goes numb when I ride in a car
When I ride in a car some times if I've been riding more then 30mins or more my left leg goes numb, it used to be my left foot now its the whole leg, I'm over weight but dieting to lose weight my weight is 300lbs. I have high blood pressure and a diabetic on metformin, and sleep apnea, does this sound like an emergency to be checked out, it used to hurt in my left leg when I walked and I got tired fast, but I used to have four lung nodes but ct scan take this year showed their gone now,mI tried circulation pills and the pain in my thigh left but now it gets numb when riding too long, please give me an answer back, thank you, oh I can't get a pelvic exam because I cramp trying to put my legs up for the exam.
I have AS and just had a MRI for AES The written report says disk bulging artifacts, swelling etc. and say it's not a big deal......... Nit I have periodic total 100% paralisis with both my legs and arms. yes 100%, swelling on parts of my body like the pads of my feet and hands including facial swelling aling with other parts of my body to where I look like the elephant man (not exagerating!). Current MRI shows Cauda Equina Syndrome very clearly with the spinal cord almost completely severed at L3, L4 and L5. I'musing a cane on a very good day but mostly a walker and wheel chair. doctors say there is no problem except with ankyloosing spondylitis. CES is only accurately diagnosed 11% of the time. I guess I'll just die slowly. Eyrope has their stuff together on CES but here in the US they don't really know how to diagnose this immune dissorder. See you all in the next life. CHAO! Douglas Gillard, DC, Professor of Clinical Science knows his stuff. I wish you could help.

No hay éso, todo ésto es simplemente control sobre la población, si la sociedad es débil entonces ésto se hará realidad, pero si la gente es inteligente entonces continuaremos con nuestra libertad .
I was diagnosed yesterday with a large mass in my right eye that is Melanoma. I was told that I might have to have my eye removed. The doctors are going to check to see if it has spread.
@@douglasgillarddcprofessoro5285 Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I found out I will be having the eye removed. I have Choroidal Melanoma. I will have my MRI in a few days to see if it has metastasized.
I got this x-ray impression how bad could be this: IMPRESSION: 1. L5-S1 intervertebral disc narrowing and spondylosis. 2. Lower lumbar facet joint degeneration.
@@douglasgillarddcprofessoro5285 Yeah i am 52 old, but after my slip and fall accident, i start get low back pain and my left foot has numbness on the side until my left toe, and i don't have too much strength, and happened exactly you showed on the video, i can't make the plantar flexion on that foot.
So glad I came across this video. Can barely eat any volume of food. Like an orange, 4oz applesauce, 1 chicken tender and about 4oz water and I'm stuffed like can't breathe. Add congestive heart failure and it's become not fun. I know there is something going on in my stomache. 2 doctures I've seen say it CHF. Going to see a specialist now after seeing this video. Thank it was like a class in medical school would be I imagine or close.
I think I have this. What tests should I ask my Dr to do? Also what specialists diagnose PA? Thank you!🙏🏼♥️

Really good video. Received a really bad (simplified) MR result interpretation from my doctor and going back to medical station for another doctor visit. I get the feeling then have to poor knowledge in this area. There is really no point of doing a MR if not the analysis is done. Waste of time an money
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful. Remember, MRI has a High false positive rate for things that typically cause low back pain (meaning, people without back pain can have these findings). You have to match the MRI findings, with a thorough history of injury and the examination findings to achieve a proper diagnosis.
That's a really good combination (less Paul + PRS guitar). Remember, these tests only evaluate muscle strength. Some disc herniations do not damage the motor nerve but instead only damage the sensory nerve which is the one that has the pain fiber within it. So, you can still have very disabling sciatica yet have normal motor examination.
That an illness is more prevalent in places were western medicine is present, shouldn't be called a fun fact, it should be called a big failure, unless western medicine has nothing to do with prevention or health.
