This channel is all about exploring and creating. I play with all kinds of cool tech and enjoy making short films on occasion. I love sharing thoughts and experiences related to gadgets and things I enjoy. Always in the comments chatting with you all as well.
Sweet studio. The best part about having a space you love is that it will inspire you to want to create more videos, which is a win. IKEA rocks! And that standing desk looks cool. I can’t wait for the review. 😎
Thanks man! You are 100% true. I love going into my space and being inspired to create. Excited to share my experience with the desk. Working on it right now!
I’m glad you liked the space! Thanks so much for the comment! Always get a little excited when people leave a comment! Love the community aspect of RU-vid. Thanks so much for the support😊
@DrSidewayZ thank you! I’m actually using the new thumbnail A/B tester so I actually don’t know which thumbnail you’re referring to. I’ll get to see the most popular one at the end of the week. Thanks so much for the kind words😊
I mean that's kind of a given. That's the point of VESA mounting a monitor. That being said the VESA arm you would want to get for this display adds a pretty big expense. Also kinda ruins the artistic design of the display itself. But you aren't wrong.
Great videos. Keep it going. Question. After the kinda weak iPadOS announcement at WWDC are you still excited about your iPad Pro or would you recommend the iPad Air m2?
I’d still recommend an iPad Pro over an air. The iPad Pro is still the best way to experience the iPad. Even if you’re looking at a used m2 iPad Pro to try and drop the price a bit. I’m kinda disappointed by the iPad OS keynote but as a business student I’m honestly super excited for the iPad calculator and math notes😂. Thanks for the compliments! I’ll keep making videos. Glad people are enjoying them!
Great review. I want July Trunk carry on suitcase. I have been stalking July website scared to pay the big bucks for their luggage. It’s a big investment especially if you buy checked baggage. Sorry I drifted from the backpack. I want that too. lol
Thanks for watching! I’ve been looking at the carry in as well. They look pretty awesome! My experience with the bag was fantastic so I can’t imagine the experience with one of their higher budget items being anything less than fantastic. Let me know how it is if you get it!!
I agree. They should only update these every couple of years. I’m looking to upgrade from my 2019 MacBook Pro 16” to the MacBook Pro 14” M3 Max space black. However, I feel I may as well wait now with the release of the new M4 MacBook pros expected towards the later part of 2024.
Yeah. It's obnoxious how random the releases seem. I get keeping it quiet so it can be a spectacle but I wish there was some consistency so I could know if now is the time to upgrade or later is.
I’m glad you enjoyed! Highly recommend getting one around the price I mentioned. Bestbuy was even doing a sale recently for new ones at like 400 bucks off I think. Worth checking out for sure!
I’ve primarily used my iPad for school and some media consumption for the last 3 years. I brought the m3 MacBook Air as an impulse buy about a week ago. I’ve been using them both but I do feel like I really don’t need both. I’m considering returning the MacBook Air and upgrading my iPad system instead
That's fair. Im thinking im going to be switching over to a Mac Studio over my laptop. More performance from the studio for less price. My iPad will become my full time mobile work station. Ive carried a MacBook and iPad in my bag for a couple years and they've never both been used when out and about. Its always one or there other.
I am an individual with a disability so touchscreens are much easier for me than traditional laptop keyboards so the answer to your question is yes I think you should switch to an iPad. I am an iPad only user I’ve tried two MacBooks in the last five years or so and they just don’t work for me as well as the iPad Pro 11 inch which I just bought. I love the OLED screen.
Thanks for the comment! I hadn't thought about it from that perspective. The iPad offers a host of accessibility features just not found on apple laptops. Im thinking my mobile workstation will have to switch over to the iPad here. To much awesome stuff on the iPad Pros including that gorgeous OLED display.
Nice video! Thanks! I literally only use my MacBook Pro for word, excel and power point. The only reason I have kept my MacBook Pro was that for some reason the LCD screen on the iPad hurt my eyes and caused blurred vision. With the new OLED screen, that is no longer an issue. Also, wow is this screen beautiful!
Now’s the time to move to the iPad. The machine is so gorgeous and worth getting. I have a link for purchasing them in my description if you’d like to check them out! Thank you so much for watching!
Imagine having the same Office on your iPad with the keyboard and trackpad. What would you say? That it must absolutely be optimized for touch only and would not find it better to be able to use as on your Mac?
I think it would be awesome to have the option to dual boot. Choose to boot into Mac OS or iPad OS. Like we used to have to do with Mac’s back in the day with Microsoft vs Mac OS.
The moment users will feel comfortable replacing their Apple laptops with new Apple tablets, Apple will remotely break some functionality or one and the other to make both essential to buy. Apple sheep style. Since then, while there was no surprise in the conclusion, I actually enjoyed your great review. Bravo
Thanks dude! I honestly think the BEST iPad would be an iPad that is something you’d want to get in tandem with a laptop or desktop. A field machine that helps bridge the gap for work between the field and your home work station. May be a twist coming up on that conclusion. Stay tuned.👀 thanks so much for watching!!
I partiality disagree. For those who are photo/video editors, it is better. For other high CPU/GPU use job roles, desktop PCs are better. - Architect using Solidworks - Machine Learning - Mechanical engineers using Solidworks - Programming on less expensive mini-PCs.
I hear that! Would love to see the iPad include fields like software development. I kinda doubt Apple will make that a thing but the iPad would be such an awesome software dev tool. Fingers crossed it happens eventually!! Thanks so much for watching!
Soundpeats have very good customer service. I bought a couple of their products and they gifted me a newly released pair of buds. One set developed a bit of a problem and they credited back the price I'd paid. I bought them again because they're so good. In fact, they're my faves. (Air3 Deluxe HS)
Great B-roll in this video. I have an iMac 24” M1 and a 16-inch MBP M3 Max which is obviously faster than the iMac. So I was considering getting rid of the iMac and getting a Studio Display to use with my MBP.
Glad you enjoyed! Im wanting to push what I can do with b roll. A lot of creative freedom with those kind of shots. Highly recommend the display. It’s the full on iMac experience with the laptop you prefer to use. If you get one check out the link in my description.😂
The pro will handle both tasks fantastically and save you some money. The max could hypothetically do them better but I doubt you need that much power.
@@Serdo70 I’d get the 12cpu and 18gpu for 200 more yea. 36 of ram if you want! I had a 32 gig on my old M1 Max and downgraded to 16 on my m2 pro. The unified memory is so quick I doubt you’ll have a problem. If you’re doing a massive orchestra in a DAW with VSTs then maybe do the ram upgrade.
@BiblijneChrzescijanstwo ah. I don’t expect to see a follow up studio display for another 4-6 years to be honest. I’d like to think we get a refreshed Pro Display XDR soon but we are probably a couple years away from that as well.
@@boogidaball we will see. For company as Apple having 60Hz display in 2024 when all other products has 120Hz means it can happen earlier. Also camera😅
@BiblijneChrzescijanstwo I agree but Apple doesn’t really seem to care about pro motion in their monitors. They’ve made more of a statement on how you can turn the monitors down to fixed 30 or 24hz for editing. Like I said in the video. Would be cool if there was 120hz but there really isn’t any reason for there to be. The camera in the studio display is also perfectly solid.
I've used the LG 5K for the past 4 years and upgraded to a Studio Display and think it's completely worth it. It's the same panel, but the studio display just looks better, shaper and brighter. The overall aesthetic is nicer too, better materials and workmanship.
I agree with all of your points. I use a Mac mini and the only thing keeping me from buying a Studio Display is its lack of at least one other input option. I frequently game at my desk using my Xbox and I decided against the Studio Display because I would need two displays on my desk and I only want one.
Well you could technically use an hdmi to usb c dongle. I’ve gotten requests in the comments here now to try seeing how compatible the studio display is with the steam deck. I tried gaming through my MacBook Pro on the studio and it wasn’t great unfortunately 😂
@@boogidaball Yeah, but I prefer a solution rather than a workaround. USB-C to HDMI converters usually work as intended omnidirectionally but rarely the other way around. It definitely wouldn’t work with an Xbox.
@@fty-ys4ni found this video. Seems like it could be helpful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xz4ACrXBWqs.htmlsi=GMSq6vVRhSx4TMFN Would be great to see future consoles support usb c out as it can do just as much as hdmi 2.1 can I’m pretty sure. Wouldn’t hurt.
I don't regret my Studio display purchase. I actually live and travel in a bus as a software engineer and photographer, and it's the best thing to have because it's got everything built in, and I can use it as a media center with my iPad mini to consume content and listen to music.
@@romanmaksimov2024 I actually really really want to get a steam deck. Sold my gaming PC while I am in school since I don’t really have time to game but I’d love a small device I could use occasionally to relax. As soon as I get one at some point here I will 100% do something like that. Great idea!!
@@paulmark992 well I’m sure Google appreciates it. Hoping to get some ad sense going here before I reach my first 365 days which will be in August. Harder to make videos as I just started school but I’ve got a “studio display in 2024” video I’m excited to release by the end of the week!
This man’s phone is older than my iPhone and my iPhone already is at 90 percent almost the same percentage as a 13 and mine is only been used since May 2023
I personally think that the iPad is great but there are things that suck. I switched from the 2019 MacBook Pro to the iPad and was quite happy but at the same time kinda limited because of the amount of RAM. Now back then it was the latest iPad and I waited now for so long and was holding back on buying the "big" iPad Pro that I almost bought it and then AppleHub announced that there will be a new iPad Pro next month 😂 Personally I use my iPad for office, Art, editing raw pictures from my Sony Alpha and also writing stuff and it's a great device but I want to upgrade to have more RAM and a better SoC. Also, I don't know how people can use that Apple keyboard for the iPad. I tested it and it was as bad as the one for my iPad. Sure it looks futuristic but those are also the worst keyboards in my opinion. I got myself a Logitech Keyboard and case combo and it was actually way better. The case is quite thick which provides some sort of drop protection, the iPad can't accidentally detach from it's back cover from the Apple keyboards and also I use my iPad to charge the keyboard. But don't go buying it now because 1. it's kinda bad when it comes to two specific gestures and there will be a new one coming out in two or three months with major improvements (according to my email exchange with Logitech) and it'll also have a slightly bigger battery and better reaction in the touchpad. In the end I can only say that getting the iPad as a replacement for something like a MacBook Air is great. Also you can use the camera on the pro to scan documents as PDF and my friend has the iPad Pro (smaller model) and the quality of those "camera scans" are very good in my opinion. But I really hope that Apple improves the finder/file manager app on the iPad since it's already better on iPadOS than on iPad's iOS but it's still not really the same like on a Mac
i just watch your video where you exchange macbook to ipad that nice to know about ipad i really like this to grow knowledge i am from india and thinking about ipad pro for sketch and draw can you make one video for more descride which one best for digital art i have mail id and whatsapp number\we can be touch together and you looking really gorgeous
My social media are all in the description if you’d like to reach out and chat about specifics! I’m open to doing a video like that. The new iPads should be coming out next month and I may have to get one and do a more in depth follow up to that original video.👀
well you miss features like apps that are just not supported by pad os, ipad unfortunately is not a laptop, functions like copy paste are weird, and sites even when configured as desktop for safari is not the full desktop version
I haven’t had any weird issues with copy paste but yea it’s not a laptop. That’s kind of the point though. It’s a remix on what that workflow can be. The tablet and laptop are 2 different ways to accomplish a lot of the same tasks.
