Hey man. Power to you!! If you just want the hardware they launched the new M3 chips with the MacBook Pro and have the base chip in the same body with the same screen and speakers! Worth checking out. If you want power for work or creation make sure to look at the best specs per dollar MacBook you’re able to get.

I didn’t do any benchmarks but no I never felt a real difference. The crazier fact is that coming from 32 gigs of ram to 16 I barely felt a difference. If you’ve got a major work load then maybe the Max is worth it but the Pro chips are remarkably powerful.

Hey man! I was actually super between the two as well. Fact of the matter is if you’re happy with the lower specs on the 15 inch I would go with it! If you start spacing it up into the price of the 14 inch MacBook Pro though I would make the jump. Both the M2 and M2 pro chip will have the power you’re looking for so everything else is frosting on top. If upgrading the hard drive or ram pushes you close to the 14 inch price I’d go with it. Keep an eye on refurbished deals for the 15 inch MacBook Air though! You may be able to find one with the configuration you like at a good discount! Thanks for watching the video.

You could get away with editing some HD stuff on a MacBook Air for sure. Once you start working with 4K footage and doing anything more than basic edits you’ll wish you got something better. You can set the actual refresh rate of the display on the MacBook Pro if you prefer 60 hz or less also! I know I mention it in the video but the 14 inch is a super comfortable weight and thickness for portability. I know it’s not MacBook Air level but honestly I don’t think you’d be upset with a MacBook Pro 14 at all. You obviously have plans to push some load onto your computer so if it were me I’d spend the little extra to get a little more power from the pro.

So I do all of my editing on the 14 inch in Final Cut! I switched to Final Cut from Davinci when I got the 14 inch because it’s much better designed for smaller laptop displays. It’s very doable and I honestly have no complaints. It’s always nice when I get to use a bigger display but the difference between the 16 and 14 is pretty minimal when it comes to actually working and the 14 inches portability is just so so much better.
