I love plants! My family and I have been in the plant industry for four generations and this channel is dedicated to sharing my experience growing and caring for plants. I am here to help you become a better gardener and plant parent. I delve into many topics all plant-related for the outdoor and indoor garden. I garden just outside of Philadelphia in zone 6b. Thanks for joining the community! Find me on Instagram @plant.vibrations.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful tapestry of texture and beauty with us......on days i can't make it out to my garden, i enjoy watching your videos for inspiration for the next time out. It's always enjoyable and i always learn something. as always, great video!
Hi Devin. You just saved my money tree. Putting it outside to dry out did the trick! It was overwatered, and now looks fabulous. Also your advice about needing to be pot bound before transplanting was well taken! Thanks, you really love plants.
My shasta daisies are over 2m tall! Is this the same plant? However, I only cut the stems to the bottom at end of season last year, and did not trim the leaves.
Just an observation...for succulents don't put a succulent cutting in moistened soil. Always put the succulent cutting in dry soil and don't water for 10 to 14 days. Also don't plant a freshly cut cutting until the cut has scared over...about 5 days. From someone who is passionate about succulents...
I need your plant expertise!! My money trees are only 5 yrs old, about 6ft tall but hardly any branches or leaves. How can I keep it short and full I stead of so tall it's pushing against my ceiling?
Devin when is the best time to prune these for vase bouquets? For example at 03:32 you have various stages of bloom development. Should we use only the fully opened blooms (far right) or will the barely open bloom (second from the left) continue to unfurl to fully extended petals in a vase? I'm surprisingly not finding much info on this for Shastas, thanks for any advice.
That’s a good question, I have never used them for vases. I’d suggest cut three or so at various stages and wait over the course of a week if they continue to open. My best bet is they would continue to open
Not sure if you have just plants in your garden, but I added things like bird bath, rock formations, sitting bench, a couple statues and hanging baskets as well. It creates interests, fills in the garden as well and zero maintenance 😂
This is very specific and I finally learned how to prune big leaf hydrangea.. Inspected all of my flowering branches (old wood) and there are no other buds - I also inspected the new wood just in case. In this situation, do I simply cut down all branches to the height I want in July?
I live in zone 10. L.A. WHY DO MY BUTTERFLY BUSHED BURN THE FLOWERS, Too hot? I like to plant California native plants, but this one is not but I love it.
If I deadhead Knockout Rose blossoms now, will they start blooming again? I’m in MN/zone 4. My bush is done blooming. How do I know if I already have rose hips? Where are they?
