Our farm was established 8 years ago with solely the goal to grow our own food. I am a first generation farmer. Hopefully the boys find my interests interesting enough to keep it growing more throughout the coming years. Well 8 years fast forward it has become my addiction/hobby. We now specialize in a cow calf operation that currently has 12 cows of which are all black Angus except for red who is my pet persay. We strive to have our calves throughout the months of April and may and them sell the majority of them in the fall. We make our own hay. The farm is increasing growing throughout the years. Look forward to what the future hold for us.

So are there 2 lines on the top of the tank ? . After mine warms up fuel runs down side of the tank . Mouse nest on top of tank . I think one or 2 return lines are bad ? Is there away just get top cover enough to replace hoses on top of the tank ? 2 side bolts out and the metal over engine is loose , cover over tank still seems tight won’t raise up hardly at all

Put those safety stops up then lower the tailgate down onto the stops to work on belts. I've run these balers for 20 years, on my second one. A lacing kit is a good investment. I carry a spare belt and wire in the twine box. Glad you noticed the crooked shaft. The bearings on the lower tailgate roll are prone to fail. Need a big allen key socket and it comes out, tap the bearings out from opposite ends using a chunk of pipe or rod. I get 2-3 seasons out of those bearings. You will never plug in dry hay if things are rolling right. I never plug just keep the belt tensioner screwed in all the way with the knob on the front. It controls the hydraulic pressure in the cylinders to keep the density the same from start to finish of the bale. I a pinch, to pin the lacing together, clothes line, high tensile fence wire, welding rod, lol. I bought a coil of the proper stuff, lifetime supply.

Great video. Just bought one of these KR125s to replace an old MF 10-8 square baler that was breaking my heart (and my back!). What weight of twine are you finding works well with this? The book recommends 400-600 m/kg (approx. 600-890 ft/lb) but the fine twines available all seem to be around 1000 m/kg (1488 ft/lb). Do you find that's critical or do you just go for whatever fine twine is on the shelf at the store? Also, I couldn't quite make out the model number of the New Holland tractor you were using or I'd've looked it up myself but what hp is it putting out? It sure seemed to be zipping along there, very impressive. And finally.. you mentioned the bales looked a little looser, has this been an issue in the 3 years since you made the video? Do they stack and store easy? Excuse the barrage of questions - you know what it's like when you get a new machine! Great channel btw, looking forward to mining your back catalogue 👍

Decided to give a watch while checking over my own 492, and led me to checking the gearbox oil levels. Glad i did, wobble box gearbox level needed just over a quart. Been running fine but oh boy

Lol.. I happened across a farcebook post of your today, then boom.. a video 👍 Priceless piece of equipment! Lots of money into the repairs, but in the long run, worth it! Like the tracked machine, tires and tracks both have their places.. someday I'll have tracks, probably on a tire machine, but.... You can never have too many attachments.

That's the best part of doing hay cut it at the right stage. Cuz food quality is in the leaves and the very top of the seed head of the plants other than that not much of the stems..lol. Inerways good video.👍.
