I only got this lens lately and I now realize that the only focus assistance on the Z50 (and on Z7II) is the focus peeking. The other two options i.e. the focus point turning green and the little circle and arrows at the bottom of the viewfinder and screen, are not available. Those are only available to G lenses (I presume with Z lenses) in manual focussing mode. Worth mentioning...
I have just purchased Excire. I want to organise all my photos on my external hard drive, as well as sort them more accurately and quickly. When I have used Excire, is it best to create a seperate folder on my external hard drive for these photos and then remove the others or is there another way. As one of the other reasons I purchased Excire is because I want to remove all my duplicates. Your advice would be much appreciated.
The Whole auto focus subject is beyond my comprehension. I am trying to make subject and Eye tracking and it’s not working. I’d like to use these features for taking portraits of a group of petas well

It's a personal decision... do you need the reach? From my research, the image quality isn't as good as either of these two but still, it is a Z lens and image quality is always excellent even at it's poorest. So unless you really look, you may never notice a difference.
Nikon Z and the Canon R cameras can struggle some with the IR beam assist but it's still supported. You're speaking as a wedding photographer but my Z9 and SB-900 don't have any difficulty focusing on Hummingbirds in dim early morning light. The problem is with flash units that don't emit a strong enough IR beam to go through the IR cut filter. The SB-5000 has a stronger beam and is compatible with mirrorless systems as do those ( Unified flash control units ) .
Yes, the SB-5000 is compatible with the Nikon Z in camera menu settings. The Autofocus Assist Lamp in all the Speedlights do not work with the Z cameras. That's because it uses low visibility red patterns to throw on subjects, and the Z system autofocus sensors are on the the blue/green photosites rows, and are sensitive to blue/green light, not red.
@@ShutterSpeak It's difficult having a conversation like this since you no longer use Nikon flash units. All Nikon flash units monitoring a scene independent of TTL will access all flash modes. Some flash units with an LED don't help. What I was attempting to say was that my Z9 focuses in low light using the Autofocus Assist Lamp of the SB-900. The flash unit doesn't allow Flash Modes requiring independent scene assessment (strobe away from camera or Manual mode, Auto External Flash ).
@@19Photographer76 I am not aware of any auto focus assist lamp other than the red illuminator on the front of the SB-900. As I mentioned, red illuminators do not work with Z cameras.
They will not work together - no. Currently only certain lenses have this ability and the are all Z lenses. That isn't to say the VR wont work, just not together.
I'll stop you at 05:35. The answer is no, you cannot process 3 images, especially not 3 raw images, and blend them so that the blend is just as good as the 1 image. Especially not over 5eV of DR. What you can do is just use the HDR blending (or any other HDR stacking & blending SW tool) and get something useful. But not as good as what you can get with one image. Because in taking 3 images, now you've created many opportunities for errors and distortion...for problems with any and every step of the blend. As opposed to just one. The camera is probably going to do a better job in the blend (not to mention in choosing the eV offset between the base exposures) than any 3rd-party tool will do. It will not do as good of a job as can be done with just one image. I have the Nikon z6111, i have Godox V1 pro F, Ive tried this setting in menu , it still doesn't work or allow me to go past 1/200 without a black shadow across the screen.? Any thoughts?
@@ShutterSpeak Thanks for the reply. The flash works perfectly on the Nikon, just not the high sync speed. I originally bought the flash for my fuji xt4...hence the V1pro F. So if I invest in the Pro N it will work if i use on board flash placed directly on the camera in high sync mode? Thanks :)
@@CalmCozyFeeling It should work but I would ask around in some of the online forums. The Nikon Z 6III is new so I have not personally tested it. However, I know for sure that flash works in HSS on other Nikon cameras (with the N version).
Hello Joseph, (question below comment) i have already installed some old Ai-s prime lenses on my Zf in this way and IS works great! Thanks for this reminder as to a ‘must do’ to get IS to work with non IS lenses … older of newer! QUESTION: what should i choose to enter into focal length area for an older Ai-s ZOOM lens ?? 35-70mm f3.5 Should i set the wider focal length 35 or tele length 70 along w/ fstop ??!! How will the camera know it has a zoom attached to it and work properly between zoom range settings?! 🤓Please help! 🙏🏼 thank you
Thank you for the walk through the program. I installed Excire and have loads of images on my HD. I want to cull should I do that from Adobe or excire. It seems to me that excire does not know when something has been deleted. Ad vis a versa if I delete from Excire bridge does not know it is deleted.
