I don't think that there is an image available for the Pi5. It also does not make economical sense to use a Pi5 for this project. You would get cheaper alternatives off the shelf on Amazon for the total cost of building this solution using the Pi5.
Hi, i had just one question In order to connect with pi we need to connect with the pi's wifi network so, how are we getting the internet? Can i turn off the wifi once the AA has started? Or how does the internet connectivity work on this?
Once connected to the Pi WiFi, the mobile data continues to work. So if you have a stable connection with sufficient data, everything will work just fine.
I am facing issues with frequent disconnections and while streaming spotify songs i see breaks in between, maps is fine. when i play music then only it struggles. i have RPi Zero 2 W
Unfortunately I haven't noticed anything such with mine. I stream music on Amazon Music, play podcasts on Podurama. I'm using a Zero W, which is a lesser powered variant than the 2W. My suggestion would be to check the cable you are using. I was lucky to find a micro usb from a xiaomi power bank from ages back, when their products were of good quality. Let me know how that goes.
@@SouvikSays just got a micro usb cable from duracell, will check again and will give an update. My Moto Razr 40 Ultra heats like anything while working with these. frequent disconnect and reconnect is what something it should address now.
Guess what, it does! Both my wife and me have our devices connected to the dongle. Whoever is in the car, the device connect to her/his phone. If both of us are there, it's a roulette. Also, once the connected device moves out of range, it automatically connects to the other one (if that one is in range). Pretty seamless for me.
If the HUD already supports wired android auto, then yes. This dongle cannot create android auto functionality on a headunit if it is not natively supported.
That was the plan. Somehow the plastic in my car does not love 3M or any adhesive. It just doesn't stick. On a side note, the heat is not perceivable inside the case. I was testing it for a few days while working on the project. That's when the bare SBC felt hot to touch. Let's see if there is any impact on longevity.
Don't think you should be putting magnets near a PCB board.. I've routed the cable internally and stuck the PI mine near the passenger foot ac vents using double sided tape and velcro for easy removing if required
Issue is that the plastic in my car seems to be from a different planet. Doesn't stick on 3M double sided tapes. I don't want to superglue it for understandable reasons. Your point around using a magnet is valid too. But is it that big an issue? If phones work with magnetic holders, will it be a problem for the Pi?
I have got wired Android Auto and CarPlay on my car so will give it a thought. Wired connection is pretty smooth and allows the front seat passenger to operate the mobile. The only problem I face with wire is that it disconnects at times if the wire length is long. I always have to fold the cable and keep it under 30cm length to avoid disconnection. Since we have both Android and Apple phones, I also need to use two different cables or adaptors. Can the device you have used house the necessary software for apple carplay as well?
I do not have access to an iPhone to test this. But it does not to the best of my understanding. Apple is a relatively closed ecosystem and does not encourage open source developments.
oohh cool! I was watching some videos about how to format documents on Calibre but I was SO confused about the kindle part, now it makes sense, thank you for your video! I´m considering getting a kindle but the documents I would read there... are not conventional! But this will help a lot! Thank you! Now I need to choose the correct kindle, they´re more expensive than I thought but I believe it will be better for my eyes
Hey Souvik, today is Black Friday, 11/24/23, and I just bought an Amazon Fire 7 tablet with a 7” display, with 10-hour battery life (2022 release), 16 GB, and Black for my niece for Christmas. I also have a list of ebooks I want to load on it before giving it to her. My question is, can I use Calibre to do this, or does it only work on Amazon Kindle tablets exclusively? Thanks for any info you can provide, and a BIG thank you for this video. It's by far one of the more thorough and easy-to-follow videos I've come across today. -Much respect and appreciation
Hey Marty, a Fire tablet is completely different from a Kindle E-reader. Calibre won't work on it. If you are planning to load the e-books on the Kindle app in the Fire tablet, try the "send to Kindle" method. www.amazon.com/sendtokindle I hope this helps. Cheers! And Happy Thanksgiving.
WOW! That was a quick reply! You are awesome! Thanks for the information, and I'll let you know how it goes. And I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving as well. @@SouvikSays
This is my friend's second Kindle. ru-vid.comUgkxOnUR4NaproSbBbD2sdI4XcDZ58Jz8GOx The first one which is about 5 or 6 years old quit charging because the bottom connector went bad. When I saw they upgraded to a USB C connector I knew it was time. I think the old USB Micro connectors are a PIA. Her new one is great. It synced right out of the box and connected to WiFi immediately. The thing is perfect! Sooo mine will arrive tomorrow. (Been reading off an old Fire) What bugs me are the reviewers that give this product one star because it didn't work out of the box or they were too dumb to figure it out. If it doesn't work send it back and get another one. It couldn't be easier with Amazon. Giving it one star because it didn't work says nothing about a good one that does work. I bet a bad one is one in a thousand or more. Give it a break...just get another one.
Excellent !! ... Unfortunately, this works for english pdfs only. Any idea how to convert hindi pdf to kindle compatible format? ... I tried to convert using calibre, but hindi fonts are not displayed properly in kindle. Anyone else done the conversion of hindi pdf pls help !!
I have tried it myself and it worked fine (converting hindi pdf to kindle compatible format). I followed the exact same steps which I've outlined in the video. Please check if the pdf you are using is DRM protected.
@@SouvikSays Thank you for a very quick response Souvik. The pdf is not drm protected. I watched your video again and followed exact same steps. I also changed the input and output format to kindle in the page setup, which i didn't do earlier, but the result is same. The hindi words do not appear properly in the final converted format.I tried 2 hindi pdfs but with same result. Though the hindi fonts appear perfect in pdf. If it's possible to share your mail id i would like to send you the hindi pdfs for you to try.
Most likely because of cable issue. Try to use the cable that came with the Kindle. Or try using a cable from a reputed brand (like charging cables that came with your phone). Also, see if there is an update available for the software.
Getting frustrated with the new update on Kindle. Can finally send epub files on Kindle BUT couldn't see the cover art thumbnail. Will try this Calibre and edit the metadata. Thanks for the clear instructions! Gonna go back here if it works 🤞
Agar aap ANC switch on karoge toh lagbhag saare awaaz (ac, fan etc.) cancel ho jayega. Par agar koi baat karta hai ya achanak koi noise hota hai, toh usko ANC cancel nahi kar payega.
You need to ensure that your Kindle is connected to your Laptop with the provided usb cable (or any other high quality cable) and that it is not in a "Charge Only" mode
There's a comment from Mahmoud Fattahi from about 8 months ago. If you go into the replies, he has suggested a trick. Give that a try. I would've copied the instructions, but I'm on my phone and don't have access to a computer at this moment. Sorry for the inconvenience and all the best. 👍
@@SouvikSays I think I read it somewhere on the internet. I don't remember the source. I may have imagined it. I've been keeping the Kindle in airplane mode for safety.
hi i have this issue where when converting the file to mobi it has been 30 minutes and yet its still on 1%. please let me know what i could do to speed things up/fix the issue
There can be 2 potential reasons for this: 1. The book you are trying to convert is DRM protected 2. The language is not supported I would suggest that you cancel the operation and try to convert once again. Of the issue persists, try converting another book. If the issue is still there, see if there is an update for Calibre available. That's the maximum I can suggest without experiencing the issue first hand.
