I have a 2001 Yamaha G16A that will crank, but not start. New gas, new fuel filter. Took fuel line going from fuel pump to carburetor of, and it’s pumping fuel. Was sitting around a few years. It was my dad’s, and recently he passed away, and left it to my oldest son, who is autistic. He LOVES being able to just go by himself in the yard and ride the electric one we have, but seeing my dad left the Yamaha gas burner for him, he is really pushing for me to get it running. Just asking for any tips before I have to load it up, and take it to someone a lot smarter than myself. Which could be anyone. 😂. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!
I would next check for spark. You can do it without a spark tester, but you can buy one on Amazon for $12 or less, and it will likely come in handy again at some point in the future. A gasoline engine needs, fuel, air, and spark. Not getting air is almost never the problem. If you're getting spark, then I would tear the carburetor apart (might need a rebuild kit to get new seals), clean the bowl, the jets, the passages... the whole thing. Reinstall and add fresh fuel (dump out any existing fuel in case it's bad) and try again. Could just literally only need to drain the bowl on the carb, and refill with fresh fuel.... but if the cart sat for a while then the carb likely needs a good cleaning at the least. Hope that helps and keep me posted!
Ok here is a fix and might make millions . A paddle similar to fly seater with curved wide flat end about 8” . On the sides is a clip for a paper towel . When your or my dog ready for a 💩 drop put under dogs butt . Then fold the corners up and drop in bag . If you really love your dog maybe another paper towel with hand cream to wipe 🙂🐶 .
Nice one.. Check out my own Basket Case cover. Sure you're gonna like it :D ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jKSHoQtRo3g.html&ab_channel=Zacpatu%C5%A1i%2Czp%C3%ADv%C3%A1Ondra
Thank you!! It was sloppy and I didn't really put much effort into it (played thru it once for the first time in many years) before recording this..... but I absolutely appreciate it :D
This is refreshing to know that i am not the only one with this problem...I was starting to feel defeated...I have neighbors on both sides of me with pets that literally take care of themselves... they just have them for the sake of saying that they own pets...I can't fault the pet for what the owner is to lazy to do..so I have a shovel and when their pets poop in my yard I scoop and toss it in theirs..I do not own pets and just the process of throwing it back to them is disgusting.. animal control here is a full on joke...my lawn is ruined from animal poop and urine
I definitely understand your pain. I hate the idea of having to put a sign(s) up in my yard, but maybe some sort of "Please stay off the grass" sign would work? I have a few signs that state that the lawn is treated with herbicides, and though I haven't put them up yet I'd believe that people would care enough about their dogs to not let them get herbicides all over their paws. But it's a tough battle, because some pet owners clearly think they're entitled to use your lawn as their dogs' private toilet.
My neighbors have 3 large dogs that crap in my yard every day!!!! I've been so nice about it and they do eventually pick it up, but it still sits there and shouldn't be there in the first place!!!!!! Wth is wrong with people?!?!!!!
A big thank you to whomever filmed all of this! Also, a big thank you to Rob and Russ (unfortunately, the only 2 original members remaining) for keeping this awesome band going. I've been a fan ever since 1998, when a friend passed on a copy of Bitter Tongues to me because they bought it and didn't dig it, but I immediately took to it from the opening of Forever Family, and have been listening to them ever since then, keep all their albums bought up and have gotten to see them live numerous times, from Winston-Salem, NC (where I'm from, and live) all the way to Richmond, VA where they're from. This band, and their music, have gotten me through a lot of bad times and rough patches. Hard to believe it's been 23 years since I first listened to Bitter Tongues (I was 18 or 19yo at that time and am now 42yo) and 22 years since I first got to see them live in 1999, after the release of To All Our Fallen Heroes... Seems like an eternity ago now, that long ago...🤯...but even after having, and surviving, emergency brain surgery in September of 2020, and all the stuff (and people!) that I forgot because of it, I never forgot about this band. Thank you again to the awesome videographer 😉, and for the trip down memory lane as well...thank you, and I mean that too. Take care and stay safe out there. 🙋
Glad you enjoyed the clip!! Cool to hear you story as well... sounds like you got into them just a few years before me. I'm now 37, and first heard these guys on the Lookout! Freakout sampler back in 2000. Later learned that they were from Richmond (I've been in Southern MD all these years), and got to see them first the first time in 2003 I believe. Have driven down to see them many times since then. Went to their official last show in 2008, and have been to a good handful that took that place over the years, as recent as this one from last year. I grew up on old school Green Day, and have always absolutely loved Ann Berettas varieties of sound over the years, so they're a perfect fit for my musical pickiness. Lol. Definitely my second favorite band ever, for many years now. Glad you recovered from the surgery last year, and that you still have fond memories of things that mean/meant a lot to you! If you plan on going to any of their performances in the future (whenever they plan some more) let me know and I'll probably be there too! Take care and happy holidays!!!
@@BitterTongues84 Awesome hearing from you and thank you for the nice words. Absolutely love that band, so glad that Rob has been able to keep them alive, with some shows here and there over the years. I, unfortunately, haven't gotten to see them live since 2003, when they were promoting their last album with new material, Three Chord Revolution. I had read that they planned to release an album with new material in 2020, but I'm guessing that Covid probably screwed that up as well. Very much looking forward to it when it does finally drop though, and hope to catch them live at some point while promoting it as well. I also love another band from that area, called Avail. I'm sure you've already heard of them, but highly recommend them if you haven't. Got to actually see them more times than even AB, but mainly because they were around from 1992-2002 (longer than that actually, but that's from year to year that their first to last albums were released). They've done some reunion shows since then though, the wildest/best being in 2019. There's tons of great footage on RU-vid of those few nights, and while I was at the first night, I've yet to catch a glimpse of my dumbass in the crowd though...😆. Seriously though, nice chatting with you and thanks so much for the filming of the show!!! Take care and stay safe out there. 🤘
if you want to completely stop people from allowing their dogs from pooping in your yard,,,,,,,,,grab a few bags of chocolate chips and sprinkle them on your lawn where people let their dogs go. then, put a sign up stating that you have spread chocolate chips on your lawn, most people know that chocolate is bad for dogs and once they see and understand that you mean business....... suddenly like magic, the dogs no longer poop in your yard!!. the chocolate chips are perfectly legal for you to use but to be safe, you should check the laws in your county.
I am in the same battle you are. For the life of me, I don't understand dog owners saying they can use your lawn as their dog toilet in front of you!! They say you don't own that strip of grass from the sidewalk to the street I say nither do you, so keep your dog from pooping on it.
Yep it's obviously technically a right of way.... to the city/county/state though. Not for their dog to do their business in. We're expected to maintain our yards around here (HOA) so if I have to invest my own time and money in keeping those first 6' maintained then you should respect that. Else that means it's OK for me to spray grass killer over your right-of-way. Or have a dumptruck-load of sand dropped on it. Lol people are only happy with what's convenient to them till the tables are turned.
This lady's dog was about to poop on my yard and I said not on my lawn. She said it's just grass and I replied it's not yours. These people actually believe their dog has the right to poop on your lawn.
Your comment reminded me of what a high school friend said years ago, that her father actually believed that pets should be able to move about freely and take care of their business anywhere they chose. What a weird outlook.
Thanks man! I could have done better on the guitar parts but after a few takes I got sloppy and a tad lazy lol. Guitar tone still needed some improvements but it's really tough because every adjustment you make doesn't sound the same in real-time versus once you record. Makes it frustrating to dial it in closer :)
You ever wonder why they don’t walk the dog and have them poo on their own grass? It’s annoying I’m so fed up. I don’t have a dog and don’t want to deal with someone else’s. Not fair.
@@BitterTongues84 It was a movie reference :( but hope you have a better ski-doo now. The movie reference is from Scary Movie 4, it has as End of the World parody in it and they get the vehicles running which stop because of EMP by changing the solenoid. lol
@@robertclent5502 lol I was wondering what solenoid you were referring to... But I totally get the reference now lol. Fun fact: I used to rewind that very scene, where Lil Jon bragged about having the last working vehicle, sped off, and immediately wrecked lol. They don't make movies like they used to!
@@JuicedUpLemon I watched a video recently where the homeowner came out of his house with a megaphone and started yelling at the lady walking her dog to pick up the shit she just let her dog leave in his yard. He kept at her with the megaphone till she walked back and picked it up, then told her to immediately leave, as she was now trespassing. Was pretty satisfying lol.
So did I. My neighbor was out for a few days and the person who was watching his house kept walking the dog in my yard and letting the dog poop. His excuse was that he picks it up. He further poceedes to call me a pu$$y who uses ring door bell.
First I would tell her to get the fuck out and second all the people that agree with the lady are bunch of ignorant and third they probably are disgusting too and do the same shit, letting their dogs poop in somebody else yard....!!
Well, funny enough, this wasn't the last time she let her dogs do her business in my yard. A few weeks later I watched her walk her dog into my yard and it took a nice long pee in my grass, and gave me a nice spot that turned black, then my grass in the spot died out a few days after. But I was home and saw it happen, so opened my door and start cussing her out. She swiftly walked away and didn't say a word. Ended up calling animal control that day before I did something that would get me in trouble. They had a talk with me and sided with me on the ongoing issue thankfully, and told me she would be fined if it happened again and I had it on camera. They went to her house right after, and haven't had any problems since. But yeah, totally agree that anyone siding with her is ignorant. Either they don't have nice things, and/or they have no respect for other peoples' property and their hard work involved in it. Pretty ridiculous either way lol.
@@BitterTongues84 the first chrous u play on the a string with an a5 then b5 rhen down a string to a e5. then the second its on the e string. and last he got one wrong chord
@@asthenasia734 not sure that's how it was actually recorded. He has played it that way live an overwhelming majority of the time, but if you listen closely to the original song it does not sound like a5, b5, e5. Especially not e5 on the D string... That gives a distinctly different sound the e power chord or e5 on the A string. He changes how he plays several songs when playing live, and I'm sure this is one of them in my opinion.
@@prouncecat7119 haha I mean I hope everyone knows that, but doing the same chord on a non-wound string(s) doesn't give you the same sound. For example, an e5 power chord starting on second fret of the D string sounds distinctly different than doing it on the 7th fret of the A string.
I mean..... you're absolutely wrong. Lol. This is the same level of ignorance as the lady that walks her dogs into the lawn of someone that spends $2,000+/year (no exaggeration) and many days of hard, physical labor to have a nice looking lawn, for her dogs to use said lawn as her own. Especially when I spend the time and money maintaining the long strip of grass across the street, 1-2 times every month, for people to use for their dogs. Anyhow, a quick Google search would surely tell you how wrong you are. Dogs aren't on the same diet as cows, and I've already dealt with diseased grass in areas dogs have crapped in my yard, as well as dead grass where dogs have peed. It's simple respect to not walk your dogs thru the yard of someone that clearly puts a lot of effort into their lawn. If I see you waxing your car every month, I'm not going to position a sprinkler in my lawn to where it gets your car wet, with the thought that it's fine because it's just water-- when in all reality it's etching water spots into your clear coat as the sun dries it.....................
@@BitterTongues84 Wait a sec.. you have a problem with dogs just WALKING on your grass also? Get out of here. Do you realize foxes and coyotes walk and crap on your precious lawn too?
@@BitterTongues84 that and you don’t even OWN the strip of grass across the street I presume? Listen, you’d have a point if this woman let the dog poop without picking it up, but if she picks it up then you have nothing to really complain about, because I assure you dogs aren’t the only creatures pooping there.
The bottom line is, whether fertilizer or not; pick up after your dog. You can always let your own dogs poop in your yard if you don't want to pick it up.
Hey man did you find the pedal sucked at first? I got one sounded like ass on the dookie end someone told me I have to play about with something internally like open it up?
Yeah the Dookie/Pete side was a little bland and missing some crunch and low end, so I just added more Meat to the it to get it where I wanted. I hadn't used the pedal since I recorded this (I don't play guitar much at all these years) but yeah apparently there is a potentiometer inside you can adjust, I assume from under the batter cover.
Next time sit on the porch with a cigarette a bottle of brandy and a 12 gauge loaded with birdshot. Say "every time that dog shits in my yard I get to put one shell in their ass."
