G'day and welcome to my channel! But really it's our channel, because all these videos, they're for you!
Originally I started making guides for Hearts of Iron IV, with the aim of being the helping hand to learn the game that I never had. Over time that has turned into more and more varied types of videos on more and more varied games. Mostly in the strategy genre, but I do enjoy long walks in other games too.
So if you're into (hopefully) educational and helpful videos with a sprinkling of mid humour, you're in the right place!
Also if you like my videos and would like to help me out, it means a lot to me when you leave comments letting me know! And if you don't like my videos, well, keep that to yourself...
If you are a brand that is looking to work with me, please contact me via my email below, or via my discord, whichever you prefer.
Ah yes going in prepared is important, but sadly most guides I found where over a year old and outdated... found a neat italy guide and followed it pretty ok. I was only 2 months behind but when the time came to declare ware on turky they somehow got protection from the brits and that didn't happen in the guide. Tried it and failed because britain is too dam strong if they dont already wasting menpower im france against the germans. They smashed my navy and toke my ports before germany had declared war om poland... Whery sad, especially that run looked so good before that. I restarted Italy now 4 times already and hoped the fith try would be the breakthrough. And whats also pretty frustrating, is when guides more or less tell you to buy a DLC because other wise it wouldn't work... looking especially a navy guide that said just spam mines in the mediteran sea and you win easy against britsh navy as Italy....
Hello, I am relatively new to the game (about 50 hrs). I have never seen those unit animations where they run and shoot and their idle animations where they do anything else besides standing and looking around. Is this in the base game or is it a mod because I like the animations very much!
Can I ask what template design you used for your infantry and tank divisions attacking Europe? I struggle with the right combination in my infantry and rank design and I get stuck in western Germany
fyi : the penalty doest really work, and its better getting the penalty and having more divs, so you always wanna max out the cw to as much as you can while still getting 2 divs in the battle, usually 32w for mountains, and for the rest is usually 36/38 (38 only if you are only fighting in urban, hills or plains)
I hate to say it, but as a chemist it is Aluminum. Sir Humphrey Davy, the discoverer of Aluminum named it. Some random journalist created the name Aluminium because he didn’t like the name Aluminum.
NAA looks like it might actually be pretty nutty with the most recent changelog: being able to fit 10% max speed and 20% max range on your Light Fighters with just 2 upgrades (first upgrade is only for Medium aircraft, but still useful for your Tacs) is good stuff: that means a much larger percentage of each air zone can be covered, meaning better efficiency, meaning you effectively get more planes in the air at once than your opponent Of course, I could just be latching onto the wrong bonuses to be excited about, but with how much airspace the US of A needs to cover, being able to get that coverage with the much cheaper and more agile light fighters seems like a big deal, especially compared to the more modest bonuses that appear in the tank and ship designer lists Edit: sounds like it gets even goofier than I thought: there's another bonus for +10% range and one for +15% range, giving a final bonus of _+45%_ to your fighter's range. That's almost as much as an Extra Fuel Tank modification, but with no weight stacking OR defense cut For speed, you can get a smaller grand total of +15% Agility? +25% Air Attack? +12% Ground Attack? +15% Slap some rocket rails onto your 1940 or 1944 light fighter design, and you've suddenly got a bird that can outrun, out-turn, out shoot, and out bomb everything, while also being able to show up almost EVERYWHERE This doesn't even consider the bonuses you can apply to your Medium Bombers to create an Armada of The Magic Skill Bus
1:16 Not sure if this is because of updates or it's because I'm on vanilla but on that same province it says combat width 70 (addition attacks 35) for that plains tile.
Just found your account and been checking out your videos and I gotta say I love em. Started off with the how to play the UK video (Since I was always discouraged to play them given how complex they are) and it was complicated but it makes me want to try getting the hang of the different tips you presented with the naval designs and the rushing of aircraft. Overall I like your style and watched a few other tip videos, very informative and well organized. You earned another sub my friend!
My biggest Tip is: READ and COMPREHEND If you don't understand something, read the tooltips, hover your Mouse o er everything that seems like it means something. Running your 24 Infantry Divisions into a City and you're loosing? Press on the Red Battle Bubble, read what the numbers mean a d where they come from. Ideally it would look like this: > Loose attacking city with 24 Divs. > Open Tooltip to read why > Find out about Combat Width, Organisation, Breakthrough, etc. > Fix Division Template, making it bigger, giving units more inf>artillery, concentrate Air over the Airzone, attack with less Divisions at once, use planning > Successfully take City!
Word to the wise: take Coastal Command, not Fighter Command. Coastal Command gives a research bonus to small airframes. Fighter Command gives a research bonus to small OR medium airframes. So if you take Coastal Command you leave yourself the option to get faster medium airframes too.
Let's say i have 100 mechanized units, and my field marshal with logistics genius is an infantry expert. How does it affect the units vs using a combined arms expert?
So long as the general leading the army of mechanised has the combined arms expert that's fine, probably not worth to promote a general to field marshal for the combined arms bonus as a field marshal only gives 50% of any general traits they have 😊
They are either on the Hungarian border, or in reserve defending against naval invasions or paradrops! Nah for Finland normal infantry and tanks is plenty
This doesn't really explain to me how to balance my military factories on day 1 and how to balance recruiting. Can't seem to find anywhere explaining how to eyeball logistics and production on Day 1 when you're in deficit and you're recruiting divisions.
@@hammotimee Right so how do you plan production for recruiting? How do you make sure you're not building too much of one equipment? I want to try fixing my deficit on all my stockpiles too and utilize all air, units, and naval.
You seem to be able to construct civ factories at a faster rate than me, by 22nd august 1936 you have 77 factories in total, I have 6 less! How did you manage to super charge your civ factory production?
Sadly the video is too fast to really follow. Even at about 75% speed as a newbie in the game. I often don't know how to do certain things, so I want to see it in the video, but then you place a jumpcut and I can not see how you did it.
