I’m at odds with the other people who commented that they like Elvis doing these Beatles songs. I believe Elvis should have stayed far away from all 3 Beatles songs he did. There is something in the structure of the songs that just don’t fit Elvis comfortably. They seem rushed and don’t flow the way you expect from an Elvis performance. In almost all cases where Elvis covered a song, he OWNED that song. But not so with Yesterday, Something or Hey Jude. Having said that I would have loved to hear Elvis sing Paul McCartney’s Michelle!

Great Reaction to this trailer. I do hope you have done a Reaction to the movie itself. I know the ‘movie’ is edited quite a lot to fit it into around half an hour, but it still gives a good overall look at the movie. However, some edited versions are dreadful, because people have tried to put in way too much, & it is so chopped up that there is absolutely no continuity of the movie itself, & I just can’t watch those versions. I loved the movie … & I’ve been a big Elvis fan for almost sixty years. I think Austin did an Amazing job & his performance was well worthy of an Oscar, as far as I could see. I have watched the movie about three times now.

Actually, Elvis did not know the words to Hey Jude in his studio jam so he just sang the same bits over and over. So, definitely not a full version of the song by any stretch.

I heard of the Beatles in 1964 but I was Never a fan. I’ve Always been an Elvis fan, the Beatles were in my opinion no comparison to Elvis. I’ve been a fan of Elvis since 1959 I was 12 years old John (65 years ago). I love your reactions John! 08-03-24
First, let me say I am a rabbid Elvis fan.However, this is one song.I do not think he should have sung It was just not right for his voice and the performance was not that great😢
