I got Rooster Booster Poultry Cell for the molting and just ordered Rooster Booster B-12 Liquid. i have Vit B complex and overnight she was sitting upright and not splayed. I had just gotten a coop for my house chicken just in time, she sleeps in the bottom and the house chicken sleeps in the top. My house chicken had the same symptoms and is healthy now, interesting about what you said that it can be passed on through the egg. I'm going to keep giving them all Poultry Cell and B12 once a week, right now they get it every day during their molt.
Man, i have residential chickens with a case of bumblefoot and the first part is "easy" but I'm terrified to pick off the scab. It doesn't look as bad as your girls did in one of my chickees, but it did swell out the top so i know it was a proper infection. Im at 2 weeks of soaking and antibiotics, im unsure if its ready to try and remove or not though. eek! Very helpful video, thanks.
When you give the poultry cell, how often can you give it to them? Could they get hypervitaminosis from it, is there a limit to how many days they can have that particular vitamin?
couldn't you use the vent with a long straw to add some water??? I am just today getting my incubator ready for my dozen eggs.. hopefully fertile :). we'll see on Oct 15th :)
I've never had an issue with chicken lice (thank heavens), but my go-to's for mites are diatomaceous earth and neem oil. I mix the neem with a quarter cup of Apple Cider vinegar with a quarter cup of vegetable glycerine to (prevent separation) in a 500ml spray bottle with very hot water. Spray the living crap out of the coop, let it dry, then dust the coop with DE. Had an infestation a year ago after adopting 3 girls from a small hobby farm. It may seem like overkill with using both DE and neem, but we haven't seen one mite ever since.😊
Salute yo yours care and treatment next time jusy try salicylic acits warts remover madicen for 3 day apply only on wart not on the skin of chicken 2 times a day for 3 days
I wish I had watched this video before some others. I removed the scab last Saturday when I saw her limping. I applied the Neosporin and other sprays and wrapped it up nice been doing this every other day for one week. I’m just not sure if I got the infection out. I don’t recall a white mass coming out and she’s still limping. What should I do next?
Not sure if you caught the current temperature, but it’s a ribbed summer tank top material. Not cocktail. No sequins here, you can do farm chores in whatever is comfortable to you. Try wearing the dress next time
I LOVE my roos. My only problem is when they fight. I 1have had them get along well, but every spring, there a troublemaker from the season before, and he has to go. I do have a time out area, but that is usually the first step in rehoming. My husband hates the crowing, but I love it, myself. I mean, when there is not 4 of them, crowing all day. My favorite roo is my mean roo. He was the only egg of 7 Japanese Batman eggs, that hatched. I hand raised him, so he is spoiled rottempn, I guess. He always let's me handle him, BUT he bites and sneak attacks. I like your bantam. We had a hen we thought was male. "He" was called Mr. Weezer...he turned into" LaWeezer", when I saw him being bred, and he layed an egg. It's funny when you think they are one sex, then they're another.
"Hi, I live in California and have never actually tested any of these theories that I researched online for an hour, but here you go!" "We do for the clicks."
I’ve had chickens my entire life, and do have family in the east coast and friends in Canada 🤡 My parents, grandparents and family before them, kept chickens. Sounds like you are a beginner, but don’t want logical advice. If you knew anything about chickens you would understand birds are cold hardy, or why are you on a learning to keep chickens video anyway?
