Welcome to the Mentors For Military Podcast (aka Mentors4mil). I’m your host, Robert Gowin, and I spent 20 years in the US Army, initially in Armor and then later as a recruiter, in-service recruiter, and career counselor. Kyle Neal is a host who served in the Army as an airborne Cavalry Scout with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and other airborne units.
We’ve had the opportunity to sit down with some of the most amazing people. Often times, we are joined by guests who have traveled across the globe to share their story - stories of passion, service, and struggle aimed at empowering our listeners, no matter their background.
As our network of followers and friends has grown, we have been granted special access to take our listeners behind the scenes, including exclusive access to the 75th Ranger Regiment. Whether we are going inside the elite 75th Ranger Regiment HQ, chatting with NY Times best sellers, or digging in with PSYOP units, each episode we bring you the topics that matter!
Sounds like the joint cooperation and preplanning was excellent. Pretty FU when you don't know which friendlies are in your AO, especially with todays tech.
Truly inspirational story of triumph over tribulation, this story should be turned into a Hollywood blockbuster buster staring Brad Pitt and Jamie Foxx, the name of the movie should be Seeing other soldiers that aren’t from your country while you at War, this heroic story has probably be sung by the Italian Military for 100’s of years, “The Day We Saw Delta Force’s Flash Lights”
Absolutely blown away by this involved story ??? Not ! Infrared wavelength of Delta , I would assume WOULD BE invisible to naked eye. Honestly not sure if conventional night vision would pick it up ,either . I believe the real spook stuff would require night vision with a SPECIFIC FILTER LENSE . Pointing a red LAZER around in vast open areas of Afghanistan = end of life 😮. Think about it ? However his story is CUTE AND FUN ….And thank goodness short 😂
I don’t think you’ve ever used night vision devices or infrared lasers. Nobody has their own exclusive light frequencies that are there exclusively. lol A 1990’s or early 2000’s camcorder with a rudimentary IR lense would see an IR laser just fine.
@@user-le1ve5ob6gyou do know not all military units are the same right? And the way they use equipment aren’t the Same either…. IR illumination can have its place in various circumstances. Specifically where the enemy probably is aware of you or there’s unknowns. And their aware. Not hard to think or understand the various practical aspects.
War is young poor men making old rich men more wealthy. We had no business in Korea/Vietnam/iraq/iraq/afghanistan. And we lost them all while who got rich?
I got the 15 pack van from Atl meps to Paris Island. Feel definitely cheated. Got dropped week 3 for pneumonia and never went to the Gas Chamber! 🤦🏻♂️
There is a World wide fertility problem. Not a lot of people are having children. Who are you planning on drafting? If you want recruits you offer bonuses.
“They have infrared laser light. Who the f@ck they are?” Here is a clue, Taliban don't have lasers not even the kind the western forces have. Secondly they don't have night vision. That in itself should be clear as day that the other party is defintely NOT Taliban
In the process of enlistment right now, have been dedicated to the idea of rangers for over 5 months. I left college because I felt something was missing and it didn’t challenge me in aspects I wanted challenged. I wanted to enlist because I wanted to gain proper discipline and challenge myself mentally as well as physically. Signing on as a 68W Option 40. part of the reason I’m so confident in my want for rangers is because of people like this that believe so deeply in the brotherhood and nose to the grindstone mindset that the rangers embody - or any special operations unit embody for that matter.
Yep, that checks. Similar experience, I was kicked from SURT due to a false accusation. Didn't matter though, my leadership sent me back, I finished, and later got my tab. It was just an annoying bump in the road.
