Genialer Film.
I guess this is a case of the settled community and the travellers coming together and reaching a compromise. The stereo type of travellers is that all of them are thieves and trouble makers. A lot of work needs to be done to build bridges between both communities. Great little film.
I think a big part of the problem is the appearance of the traveler sites. They don’t help themselves with rubbish lying around and generally not caring for the environment.
1.There are no / not enough bins provided. 2. Your rubbish goes to landfill / into rivers so you are part of and complicit in government sanctioned flytip/pollution/environmental distruction/hypocrisy 3.Travellers do not build houses which leave far more mess and permanent damage we often "care" for our environment and hence choose this way of life. What is sad for me is that you can google Mozart's concerto number whatever. And get it. But songs that were produced in a modern age cannot be found? When Kenny mixed those songs in the scene, it was such a revelation for so many people, still alive today. And are struggling to get those songs even in record bars! This says something to me about humanity. It is sad.
Humanity hasn't gotten worse since Mozart, don't get all down about it, but yeah there's some background music from Beat Street that I couldn't find online which is a bummer. Just a minor inconvenience, considering all the obscure stuff that's easily accessible. Am I understanding what you meant?
That's because somebody is greedy sitting on those masters they probably bought in a company acquisition and will only sell them now as a package deal to the next company trying to buy them out, they probably don't even know they own the songs it's about the buyout only to them, Hell they just put Aaliyah back out there who was missing since streaming started because the uncle was that greedy, he needed everything bought from Blackground Records first and that's her uncle so Beat Street movie songs barely have a chance, it's the nature of the business at this point in time, luckily I been had all my Aaliyah CDs from back when she was alive and backed them up, didn't know this was a thing until my sister grew up and couldn't find people on streaming anywhere 10 years ago, dark times and good times all at once, if it's out there you get it immediately, if not then you're screwed SMH
@@drebone1986 - It's often not that deep...... Things (in this case, master tapes) get lost and/or damaged over the years and back in the day things weren't always archived and treated with such high regard. Besides, in the case of the Beat Street soundtracks and old 90's RnB CDs they're really not that tough or expensive to find.
THESE AIN'T TRAVELLERS,THEY'RE GORGER BREDS,HOUSE DWELLERS THAT HAVE TAKEN THE GYPSY WAYS,WORST BREED OF PEOPLE EVER,A GOOD BAR OF SOAP WOULD DO THEM THE WORLD OF GOOD.
And while we are at it..what about certain folk who are the result of the potatoe famine?,who became travellers, and now own houses in Ireland but come to the uk every summer?????

Far out, I love Lucinda's way of analysing the horse and rider and communicating what they need to improve. She's incredible! All the riders did a marvelous job at taking her directions too.
Ignoring the fact that most travellers do work. The whole reason the movement started in the first place was that people were unable to make any sort of living whilst in a house. So people turned to the roads. Then the government agencies officially declared many of the "Unemployable" making it near impossible to get a job in larger companies. Not that you'd want to in the first place. Moreover, its a way of life with a unique culture. I choose to travel because I prefer the way of life. What gives you the right to say that your lifestyle is better.
