He should be Journey’s lead vocalist. He sounds better than Arnel. He sounds as close to Steve Perry than anyone I’ve ever listened to. He’s awesome at holding those long high notes.

I heard that it was offered to him first but he refuse, cause he can only sing 5 songs effectively and can’t sing the whole night during the concert tours… haters will always hate other people…
Deen is great as usual but the drummer is not. Maybe Deen should’ve played drums and sang? In all fairness, while it’s a basic 4/4 there are some complex things happening with the tom’s and the ride bell that this drummer either cannot do, or is unaware of.
@@PeachWNKI was a high school aged drummer too. Nevertheless, it wasn’t a dig on the drummers talent level. With that said, had you written that the drummer was an elementary school kid, then the “lol” would definitely be appropriate. Question: where on this RU-vid video does it mention that the drummer was of high school age?
@@justus4345 He might have even been younger than a high schooler. The members of the band are from the Boys and Girls Club. I initially thought this was only a high school group, then saw the *video title* says BGC. So where did I get this, apparently, hard-to-find info? There’s your answer. You can go back to feeling superior to this kid.

He plays the damn drums. Pretty sure that takes some lung power. There are a lot of people that would come see a singing drummer. He has a lot of charisma when he plays, and a lot of us don’t care about theatrics. It’s about the singing.
I'm 54 & a very long time fan of Journey. I can't believe his voice was not known for so many years. His voice is still Awesome & has surpassed Steve's now. What an Awesome performance this is, in multiple respects!!!
Sing one of your own songs already.....no one really cares how you can copy someone else. Just goes around singing songs you had nothing to do with writing or recording. Yes, you can sing well, no one cares until its your own composition.
