Good vid. That said, nobody should care one bit about parallax on any optic. Mine are zeroed at the center of the glass where there is no parallax. Yours should be too. For anyone to have an issue with it is nuts. Oh my God it's got parallax, it's useless, I wasted my money. 😆😆😆😆 it's literally a nonpoint. A waste of breath, time and just plain nuts. It's micromanaging a nothing. It's whining.
Just purchased the m spec. Very disappointed. The parallax is all over the place. If a gunman had a hostage, chances are, you'll shoot the hostage. What a rip off.
Anyone have reflection problems with this? I just got mine and there's terrible reflection on the glass on the bottom from the red laser. The green has it too but not as bad.
@@156TYSON Yeah. It does fade away as I turn it down. Just not sure how that'll work outdoors on a sunny day when I have to crank it up to see it. Maybe it's just the lighting and it won't show up in sunlight. I'll have to try it. Good excuse to get the range. 🙂
@@FALLEN9336 wish I lived in the states, that's cheap! Optics are considered gun parts coming into Canada, they wont make them through customs without a permit, tried buying off their site before.
@@156TYSON still holding up? i spent my load on the rifle and can't afford a sight right yet, i'm looking for a good non name brand sight. Thanks for the video!!
How is the red reticle indoors? I just got my third R Spec and they all have this terrible red light refraction over the whole glass. It improves as you dim it but to get rid of it you need to dim it beyond the point of comfort. Trying to figure out if I got a couple of duds, or if Sight Mark quality isn't what I'd be happy with.
I know with mine you have to turn the brightness down indoors otherwise it does put a glow around the recticle, can almost see 2 recticles on the highest setting actually. But I've never found it uncomfortably dim on the right setting, maybe your eyes are sensitive to the red light? Have you tried the green?
@@panchoperez8966 it's pretty stiff, won't move from shooting. As you can see in the video the switch is pretty sheltered. It moved on me because I had it behind the seat of my truck amongst a bunch of junk.
@@156TYSON thanks . Just checking to see if it does . I think the M spec one comes with a 5 min auto shut off as well as a motion activation . Double check the manual. Lmk . Nice sight btw
My friend bought an A-spec, I haven't had the chance to compare the two yet for Parallax but I will say the A-spec has an even clearer (less reflective) glass, litteraly crystal clear (I'm certain the M-spec uses the same lens)
I haven't had that one in front of me to test but with the research I've done the lens isn't as clear and the parallax isn't as good. The R, A and M spec are sightmark's newest models and are built using different castings and lenses.
I have one, battery dies in a few hours, no clicking so no way to tell how many clicks, and on and on. Figured I got a bad one - oh well! it happens. The other day a friend of mine bought one. We went shooting to test his new sight and rifle. Great rifle but his Sightmark Ultra has all the same problems that mine has.
Ya that's wierd, my friend has one as well and we haven't had that problem, I always look down the sight to make sure its turned off, though memory tells me its auto off after so many hours anyways.
ive seen some very impressive durability tests with it being dropped frozen and shot to the glass with airsoft guns. as ugly as the thing is, its really hard to find a reason to spend more money on other options.
