you mean plug into the pcm? keep the wiring harness from the v8 and put the v8 pcm in and all goes smooth. and your going to have to bypass the neutral safety switch, 3 wire plug on your trans, theres 2 wires on it that you splice together and your truck will start by key.
no where the engine harness plugs into the fusebox? mine doesnt plug in. see the engine and harness came from a automatic truck, i got a 5spd. have any suggestions? i heard some boys mod there v6 harness for # 7 and 8 injectors. thanks man!
hey buddy, how did the engine harness plug into the fusebox?? did you have to mod the harness? cause im in the middle of doing a swap and my engine has a auto engine harness but i got a 5spd.
Hey man lookin at doin the same thing. Did you have to change the trans when you pulled the computer out? I wanna carb mine but I don't know what it'll.do to the trans? How did yours react?
no I got it off a forum called dodgetalk bought it second hand. I Think someone had it custom ground. I plan on buying a hughes cam though in the near future
DaylightRobberyCA In the video all that was done was the cam, eventually the factory untuned computer couldn't handle it and it went in limp mode. I converted it to carb with a air gap dual plane dome and a 600 holley, with mopar performance ignition. I am running a 360 in the truck now though same cam but with headers. pretty solid tourque curve has alright bottom end though it noticeably starts pulling harder around 2500rpm and starts to drop off around 5600, the 318 would rev out harder it would start to drop off around 6000 but it would take 6500 rpm on the factory valve springs all day not to mention 300,000 kms on it, the 318's life was retired after 4 spun rod bearings haha. but yeah I want to go with a bigger cam and a tighter lsa, this cam is good for around town but I want something that builds a bit more power
