Yet another lovely video I find them very calming I'm toying with idea of getting a trike and Tricity seems to come out tops in most reviews. Jus a few questions if u can help. 1. Did u buy ur Tricity from a Yamaha dealer? (can't seem to find one in my area) 2. Not being mechanically minded what r the running and maintenance costs approximately? 3. Do u have roadside recovery RAC AA Greenflag? Thanks in advance if u reply and any other pointers would be appreciated. Howie
You can buy them from yamaha wigan, running cost, fuel is brilliant typical figures 80mpg normal roads 75mpg motorway, as for breakdown cover i have it with my insurance.
Went round France on it, back end of april early may and it never missed a beat. 88mpg over 3189.6miles. Usualy meet the lads quite near your neck of the woods in Clitheroe
To be honest i have had a kawasaki ninja before this one different beast all together but i bought this one because i like the front end on corners and also the mpg 😜 you are right with them not missing a beat loads of fun and cheap to run, and yes that clip was in Clitheroe you know your roads im from Chorley lancs you?
@@aomyamahatricity3002 We meet at McD's barrow clitheroe sometimes Barton Grange and occasionally McD's Rising Bridge. I set off from Penrith :D to meet up
Hi Mathew congratulations on your purchase 👍 answering your question I used a RAM mount that slots into a gopro mount no drilling required i also stuck a rubber dampener on the horizontal ram mount for extra support, the Garmin Zumo XT i hardwired using a T tap electrical connectors using the wiring for the auxiliary plug, the Garmin Zumo XT now turns on and of with the ignition and when you park the Zumo XT can be removed from its mount using the zumo quick release button
It's an interesting bike... Nearly went for one myself. Definitely a bike that gets all sorts of looks. Contrary to belief, it's not any wider then a regular bike so filtering through traffic is possible.
There are a few videos on here where i am filtering through traffic no problem, 1 a couple of miles long standing traffic the car drivers must have loved me that day but its perfectly legal to do and the bike performs very well in all traffic including motorways 👍
Hi Wayne, I would recommend the comfort seat its as stated comfortable and in my opinion looks great, I am 5'10" and can now flat foot both feet to the ground combination of the seat and lowering the shock to position no1 the feel of the bike has improved for me lowering the shock, I now never use the stand assist other than to move the bike around. As for the room under the seat i can still fit me and my wife's helmets the catch isn't as light to lock under the comfort seat when you first fit it just a sharp bang does the trick now its easy once you have broken the new seat in. If you are interested in buying a yamaha comfort seat i bought mine from Padgetts motorcycle shop Joe will look after you she's good 👍
Hey my friend. Me and others from germany like your gps mounting. Is there any way to give a shorts introduction, how you did realize the process? In a vid you toll about some buffering within the RAM mounts. What die you mean? Keeper on the good work, I like yor Chanel. 👍
I have posted a video of what i did to mount a satnav on the dash for you and others i am asked the same question over and over again 😂 hope that helps 👍
Thank you so much! That's great video! Brilliant....🙂 Please, could I just ask how did you attach your Garmin Sat Nav? Straight on the top of dashboard? Thank you....🙂
RAP-B-202U-GOP2 RAM 1" Ball Adapter to receive above ram mount that clips into a GoPro® Mounting Base stuck on using gopro adhesive pads no drilling required, I also used a rubber shock absorber stuck beneath the RAP-B-202U-GOP2 RAM mount using the gopro adhesives it reduces vibrations from the road. At the end of your dash on top there is a small molded hole in the centre the wiring for your sat nav can be threaded through there. The wire is hard wired using Electrical tap into auxiliary loom so turns on and off via ignition. Hope that helps 👍
Hi lots of people are asking the same thing which i have answered the best i can, but i see what you are saying and when i have some time i will honor your request and do a short video to try and help

Hi. I have a tricity 300 to, and im searching for a mount for my gps to, something like yours in the center of the dashboard. Can you please tell me how you fix yours in your bike ? Tks John from Portugal 🇵🇹

Hi negatives have you found. How do you find the power is it ok should do one with there 560cc engine. How’s the handling compared to a regular bike. Would get one of these over Yamaha XSR 125
Only negative is when you first ride it as said before in other replies they are top heavy so you need time to just get used to it, but once you have dialed them in ie left foot down on junctions and you can also cover the weight with the stand assist they become a breeze to ride the power is enough no lag on take off and i have cruised at 70mph on the motorway no problem at all in fact around town i have bluetooth headset linked to my Garmin Zumo XT to warn me of the speed because you can be lost in the moment so the warning in your ear keeps you in check 😉
Hi John its a Garmin Zumo XT brilliant bit of kit there are plenty of reviews on here 👍 glad you choose the Yamaha you will love it but take your time they are top heavy be aware of that and you will quickly get used to it good luck and safe riding
Brilliant machine mine just had recall done after waiting a year even though i never had any problems only with insurance cancelled because they said if was unstable load of rubbish they are not
I think when people first buy them they are top heavy compared to a normal motorbikes but with practice especially low speed you get used to it, to replace the clutch and rear brake of a normal motorcycle slow manoeuvres i find using the left brake keeping the throttle slightly open gives a similar feel to a clutched motorbike, but caution is needed with these or you will feel instability on very slow manoeuvres with these especially on inclines with lack of thottle causing it to roll back or drop, reading the forums you see a lot of people drop them because of the above statement. I will totally agree with you once you are used to them they are very fun to ride and a good tourer being very economical with fuel.
Bonjour, Hello ! I got a blue one and I like it very much. Very goog engine. Thank you for sharing your trip. Could you tell me what support you use for your GPS. Thank you from Bordeaux, France.

@@ph5056 i bought mine purely for leasure but they are a good all rounder to commute to work or as a tourer good economy with fuel and now couple of years from release proven reliability 👍
New to your channel. Thinking about getting this bike. What’s the chance of a walk round video and you giving us pros and cons since having owned it? Cheers.
Hi I have had sports bikes in the past and done off road trials for many years and i have to say the Yamaha Tricity 300 is a lot of fun it corners like a motorbike giving you lots of confidence, the pickup from the traffic lights is very good so no worries there although it is not a speed machine it holds its own in traffic and as the added bonus of being super efficient with fuel. If you are a (Lord Farquaad) and height impeded this is not the vehicle for you although they do have a seat that slightly lowers the seat height you can buy or you could look in a charity shop for some 70s platform shoes preferably with a 10" platform heel!! Please dont use the stand assist as you will look a right plonker on the traffic lights giving a dolly bird a wink in the car a side of you then swiftly falling over sideways when the stand assist fails you dont worry they all do that 🤔 im used to not using it at all and just ride it like a motorbike, Would i recommend it hell yes its a lot of fun and a real head turner good or beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I got a rear Mudguard for an xmax 300 :) Stops alot of crap getting under the seat onto the engine. It set me back about £30 Would be nice to see you taking off the panels for us dummies
Yes that's my 3rd ride on it feels a lot better now, since last video I have fitted the Yamaha comfort seat it doesnt seem as wide as stock seat, more plush to :) I will soon be putting it to bed for winter don't want salt on it the frame killer.
@@ph5056 i have bought some acf50 as recommended by DNA Dane just need to apply it now, when i hardwired the satnav i took the front cowling of to get to where i was wiring it to and was shocked to see some rust coming around the welds its only done 600 miles something and nothing really but definitely needs looking after.
Chorley, i went there to buy a tricity 300 but the sales guy didn't seem intrested in selling one to me.probs cause i look like a scruffy Twu*t. Done over 2k in 2 months around the lake district and Yorkshire dales also joined a Tricity Face book group lotsa knowledge on there :)
I am going to ride the lakes, plus the Dale's and peak district after winter itching to venture out on bigger rides but the frames on these you have to be careful they are a little thin with paint around the welds, with winter coming and salt on the roads 👍🏻
They are a great ride, great on corners loves to lean, steering very precise but when you stop you notice they are top heavy easy to get used to but you need to be aware, using the assist helps at traffic lights 👍 i would recommend them.
@@thednadane I am 5'10" I have ordered a comfort seat that reduces the seat height, I can reach the floor no problem but i feel a little stretched so in your case Yamaha do 2 seats that you can order Yamaha lower seat and comfort seat they look different but they both do the trick.
